This is a great album. I have it on CD. I want the vinyl record of the album too. This is their best effort since Ashes. Ashes was a very powerful album too. This is my new fav LOG album. Another album from LOG that makes you wanna get up and punch someone in the face.
This album is GREAT!!!! I used to think that Sacrament was their best along with Ashes of the Wake, but man, this is wayyy more sick. My favorite song of all time has got to be Contractor. I just love it, it gets me so pumped. And, it has the most insane scream in it I've ever heard. Go buy this album, you'll love it!
@rebelyelleasyrider eer, I just hate Roadrunner. They have very few good bands. Chimaira was one of their best bands but ditched them and signed to Ferret. Much better choice. Idk, I just perfer Prothetic, NuclearBlast, and Metalblade over Roadrunner. They tend to have a better selection.

I got the deluxe album the day it came out and just finished mixing Shoulder of Your God and We Die Alone and they along with the rest of the album are fucking crazy. LOG out did themselves for this album

Wrath is truly amazing, and really added some new things into lamb of god, and what really amazes me, is that they accually managed to put in stuff like acustic guitars, clean guitars, and randy doing a lot more of "heat and fire" then on the previous records, and still, it turned out as, at least i belive, comparing songs and the total sound, the most heavy record they've made under the name Lamb of god. But my ALL time favourite, as a guitarist, is really Ashes of The wake:) Brilliant! Love!
Dunkman66, I'll tell you exactly how Slipknot sold out in a civilized non aggressive way. on the Record "all hope is Gone" there is a song called "dead Memory's" now when i was at the mall 2 weeks ago that song was playing in Aeropostale. now it is okay to have a softer song on the record but that song was followed by "till we die" and "Child of burning time" now its okay to experiment on the record but to loose you're roots is wrong. Iowa, self titled and some of sub verses is there ROOTS.
...I also got someone else to buy the producer version of Sacrament, and I almost had another person buy the producer versions of Sacrament and Wrath until our relationship had a falling out. Furthermore, adding bonus songs to different disc versions only increases the need to infringe copywrite. Even after buying the super deluxe whatever Wrath, I still was missing Condemn The Hive, so I downloaded it. Hearing the album before I had the ability to buy it only made me more excited about it.
I will agree their old stuff is better and a hell of a lot more brutal, but I think they aren't as commercial as you think. I thought Sacrament was way over produced (don't get me wrong I like the album) and I thought they toned it down. If you listen to the guitars it borrows styles from both sacrament and ashes of the wake making for a more unique sound. Definitely though, the older stuff is way heavier.

The whole album is great, but two of my personal favorites will be Fake Messiah (thanks to the awesome progression and instrumentation near the end), and Reclamation. Reclamation is probably the best LoG song, it's a bit progressive, nice and long, and is the ultimate showcase of Randy's insane vocal range. They really need to write more songs like Reclamation.
I've been their fan from 2003 I think and this album is easily their best. Come on people, just because it doesn't sound as demonic as As The Palaces Burn, that doesn't make it bad. Its compositions are by far the best-check the scripts if you don't believe it. Only Ashes Of the Wake is on the same level.
I also have 3 LoG shirts that I wear all the time. I don't think I'm some sort of superfan or anything. I just can't get enough Lamb right now because their music awesome. @rbjake24 AILD is alright. Wrath is miles above The Powerless Rise in my opinion. I just can't get into the clean vocal melodies in the AILD album. I'd rather take Randy's deep, throaty, and baritone melodies over the singing in AILD. LOG is much more powerful.

If u watch the DVD for the making of the Sacrament record, Chris Adler himself says that it's Speed Metal. I do admit it is difficult to place LoG under one Metal sub genre, I tried to do it, then thought fuck it and just rocked out to the album! :D LoG are fucking amazing!!!!

Wrath is fucking amazing. I got to see them last night in Hollywood. They fucking killed! and i got to meet them after the show. They are some of the nicest fuckers. it was such an honor to be able to meet one of the greatest bands of all time.
I downloaded the torrent about a week before release. The torrent made the decision to order in the bonus track cd easier. I figured I'd just download them but...LOG fucking rule and I do actually feel bad stealing from them. But I give it all back.
Lamb of God have improved alot after each album, even though, they have changed their style a bit between Burn the Priest and and Wrath. But still, I love all of their albums and I think they'll keep on getting better!
yes, you are right, Wrath has more 'simple' riffs, but this is because they are getting older and are probably bored of their old stuff. or maybe they suck now and can't think of complicated riffs anymore? who knows.
It is a bit of both. I have done some Public Relations in the music business and online sharing has crippled things along with companies copy protecting music. Sales are still good but they have dropped significantly.

My favorite song of this album is Grace. But my favorite Lamb of God song is, and probably will always be "11th Hour". As Palaces Burn is still my favorite album from them so far.

i think they are one of the most talented bands out there. Randy has the most unique voice in metal, chris is a beast, and the guitarists are extremely under rated

I downloaded the torrent about a week before release. The torrent made the decision to order in the bonus track cd easier. I figured I'd just download them but...LOG fucking rule and I do actually feel bad stealing from them. But I give it all back.
wow no offense but black label kinda sucked. seriously. i like everything AFTER new american gospel. it's a lot better. NAG just kinda sucked.
Lamb of God have improved alot after each album, even though, they have changed their style a bit between Burn the Priest and and Wrath. But still, I love all of their albums and I think they'll keep on getting better!
yes, you are right, Wrath has more 'simple' riffs, but this is because they are getting older and are probably bored of their old stuff.
or maybe they suck now and can't think of complicated riffs anymore?

It is a bit of both. I have done some Public Relations in the music business and online sharing has crippled things along with companies copy protecting music. Sales are still good but they have dropped significantly.
torrents are not killing music there killing those money grabbing record companies, fans will still go to see the band live if its good music, "metal is all about the live experience" (mark morton)
the wrath songs are better than ever, more dynamic guitars, singing and drums, go to a live show and the best songs are the wrath ones, i saw them in auckland NZ in december and it was fuckn bad ass!!!!!
@guitar141144 Their older stuff is way heavier then their newer stuff (The Poison). But then again, so was Lamb of God's older stuff
You have to be fucking kidding me! This album is on the same level as their others. I dare say this is one of their best. Everysong on it is like a fucking punch to the throat.
My favorite song of this album is Grace.
But my favorite Lamb of God song is, and probably will always be "11th Hour". As Palaces Burn is still my favorite album from them so far.
Well personally i download music, but when i like it i'll go out and buy and that's something which is promoted by ' ' Crack Groups '' in the Torrent World and Newsgroup 'world.

hah after listening to reclamation again on my itouch I heard randy cough in the begining and heard the ocean and the count(1,2,3) into the accoustic intro.
i think they are one of the most talented bands out there. Randy has the most unique voice in metal, chris is a beast, and the guitarists are extremely under rated
i find it funny how randy sound so normal in the interview but they also show his insane vocals during the songs!

As far as the long run yes, but there are a few bullet tunes that are just as heavy as Lamb of god, but ussualy, Lamb of God is heavier, yes.
fucking amasing album. this bitch hasn't left my car stereo for months. gotta say tho, its a real bitch to drive the speed limit with this album on
at first i was disapointed with the album but it completely grew on me and its all i listen to now, and seeing them live twice on 09 tour has def helped
Also, it's good to see Randy with long hair again, I thought his "psycho killer" look, as he put it kicked ass but I think long hair suits him lol.
no they are ALBUMS merchandise is stuff like t-shirts and caps and stuff like that. which they get a much higher percentage of money from than albums.
Glad to know more behind the album. The whole new cd kicks ass. Long hair is a good look for Randy. He looks too much like a skinhead with no hair, haha.

i love lamb of god and at first i didnt care for this cd but its grown on me and now i love it...great work lamb of god...keep it up!!!!!!!!!
