- IF THE VIDEO IS NOT PLAYING (IT SAYS SOMETHING LIKE "THE VIDEO IS CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE" OR SOMETHING) YOU HAVE TO SWITCH TO "WATCH IN HQ" OPTION - IT PLAYS IN HIGH QUALITY.
Mark Morton and Willie Adler show how to play Walk With Me in Hell.
I sincerely apologize for the quality of this video. UA-cam wouldn't let me upload the whole video, so I had to convert it to other format and cut it in two pieces - and this is the shitty result.
Its impressive how Mark can fit perfectly that kind of solo in such a heavy song. Love that solo
The intro riff is grat for warming up.
Lamb of God give a lot to fans, from the meet & greets to the kickass competitions, to the DVDs to lessons like this.
That Riff is one of my favs on the album frigging awesome !
i love how its such a heavy song but has such a rock and roll solo
badass \m/
thanks for the uploads man that set to fail lesson really helped me out. rock on \m/
@didgeman987 The solo is straight up blues.
I love the way Mark almost always goes into the next segment of the song at the end of one... Like at the end of the breakdown you can hear him begin to play the solo... :P
yay !!!!! mark and willie roxx.. im gona see the live next week saturday.. this time next month at summerstorm festival here in bangalore, INDIA !!! ill be in the first row.. ill go there at 5 in the morning ... wooooottt !!!!! im very excite
Holy shit! Sounds like mark will never mess up the solo!! Their riffs are very nice!!!
They put together some of the sickest riffs
He's so focused on the guitar he doesn't see the absence of fret markers. ( for a lesson ) awesome.
these guys are poetry in motion! \m/
Yeah, and it's pretty long one for Mark. Most of his solos are just few seconds, but this one... And the one in Set to Fail is pretty sweet too.
This video was filmed at Willie's house. He has a wall of all the guitars he's ever played beginning with his first BC Rich Bich and ending with his signature ESP. And he has Mark's signature guitar hanging there too.
Yeah replayed. Its so badass AND beautiful. When he plays it live he uses his Zakk Wylde Crybaby too. That just kills.
I used to have a subscription to the Guitar World magazine. And this video is off of the bonus CD that comes with every issue. You can probably find it on Guitar World UA-cam channel, but you're not going to find more footage there (I uploaded the whole video).
man thisvideos had helped me a lot, thanks mn.. can u upload some mark morton videos more... plz :D
Just awesssssssssoooooooommeeeeeeee !!!!! Pure domination
The breakdown is complex and amazing!!!
ACHUTA SRIDHARAN It's tough to play. Very odd rhythmic patterns. Lamb of God has some of the hardest songs to learn..
exactly. Tube driven distortion pedals can sound just like a regular channel on your amp. Yeah, I run a Peavey XXX with gain on about 12 o clock and use a Maxon OD-9 pro to drive it.
Very useful !! Thanks guys !
sometimes when you are trying to learn a solo this really helps like with the details.
yeahh finally i got the whole walk with me in hell note right, i'll re do my walk with me in hell cover =p , its not so hard to figure them out tho, damn this is great !!
@843andrew I got this video from a disk that comes with Guitar World Magazine.
Fantastic :')
love willie's guitar :D
Well, yeah, but it's just a quick session for Guitar World Magazine. They've shown two songs in little over 10 mins - which's still not bad. Set to Fail (Part 1) is a better lesson, I think.
yeah i love mark IV's dream theater uses them and they sound amazing....id love to have one, but they cost quite a bit.
ya nice cover guys you sound very close to LoG!! keep it up!
Yeah, I'm aware of all those tricks Dime did. I've got the book "Dimebag Darrell's Riffer Madness" he discusses it all in there. So if you haven't read it - you should check it out.
P.S. Yeah Walk is totally fucked up in every tab book, and the same thing with Cowboys from Hell intro.
@GKfilmz Yeah. All guitars have those markers.
@dime6664ever Actually few days back me and my friends were talking about who would be the perfect replacement for Dime if Pantera was to reunite now. And we all came to a conclusion that Mark would be the guy. I think he's the next "Dime".
awesome
@reimer10 My favorite part from that Download video is when someone from the crowd is jumping with a Confederate flag and Randy goes: "Wave it high motherfucker" or something like that. I always LOL at that part. )))
every time ive seen them they have used framus or mesa cabs...never seen them w marshall...and willie even demos his framus cabs on some video on here somewhere...but i dont know their exact list of equipment
god dam it!! even when mark plays the solo slow it's still fast as shit! i need to pause it like 6 million times!
they sound a bit out of tune but they still are amazing \m/
vincent51999 Bad guitar tone aswell. Probably some shitty borrowed amps :P
fredriksk21 probably :)
@@fredriksk21 yeah) some shitty borrowed mark iv;)
@casperlpl23 I think Glen Tipton has earned his legend status long time ago and cannot be compared to anyone else. It's like comparing someone to Toni Iommy or Dave Murray or Kai Hansen. Mark Morton, although a great player (one of the greatest in modern metal scene), still has long way to go and still has to prove a lot.
I love the way mark's just there like :/ "im shit at guitar" whilst shredding
@TangeClown Yeah I'd prefer Guitar Pro over trying to listen by ear. I should really get that program. How accurate are the tabs on it? Cos I'm also looking for good accurate tabs for the solo too. I'm not at the skill level but when I am I'd like good tabs. It would be a shame to even play one note wrong in that solo haha!
since the song is in drop d, most of them are slash/inverted. if u sound it out, its actually easier then it sounds.
mantap jiwa... lam of god is the best
@TangeClown If you could get tabs made that would be awesome! I havent really been playing long enough to learn things by ear yet.
each are so natural in their element. mark lead, he looses himself. willy rhythm. he knows what needs to be done.
lmfao awesome! nice name by the way
oh yeah, That's very true. They use Mesa Mark IVs on their albums and live performance I'm not really sure
yeah but they used mesas in the sacrament in the studio but they probably differ live because of sound and all
@king666nothing I never said I needed the fret markers, but any aid to increase the efficiency of a performance should be considered. Consider that. Every comment I have made was to show the relationship between a lesson and a markerless guitar, they just don't go together.
gnarly
Oh shit, I don't have the mag on hand. But I'm pretty sure it's the issue featuring Steve Vai (he's on the cover). It's probably may issue.
it didnt help me either but that might be because i dont play a guitar : p
i like these videos because it might be cool to do if i ever start with guitar : D
you are so lucky, i cant get it anywhere in my country... in fact, i cant even get the cd in my country ¬¬
Yeah many people think it's a better lesson. And the fact that it's relatively new song plays its role, 'coz people are more excited about Set to Fail than about Walk With Me in Hell (not that it's a bad song - people used to it more).
omg please post again!!! why is it removeddd
@BUNN47mY There are fretmarkers, you just don't see them.
thank you)
I just want the video in better quality so i can see what theyre playing better.
Is it possible that you might upload the video to torrents or anything? In case i dont find it on GW channel.
@ghost633 What the hell are you talking about? Set to Fail is Pt1, and Walk With Me In Hell is Pt 2.
his picking and fretting hand freaks me out too
"i think willie and mark are just trying to piss all us guitarists off lol :)" As long as it sounds as badass - I'm cool with that.
They play it in Drop D. I personally play it in D Standard.
they deff use marshall cabs coz when iwent 2 see them there was a wall of marshall cabinets behind them
I'm talking about the intro more specifically. Yeah you can figure it out but I'm just surprised they don't show more in depth of the song.
The two guitars together sound TIGHT!!
@CrashOverride9 my friend knows it. ill see if i can get a tab made. i know its 7th chords but not sure what exactly. but knowing that its 7th chords if you listen to just his part and watch him you should be able to figure it out by ear. just need to find him doing it alone with good video quality
@MadJack122
1. Allright, can happen to anyone.
2. The initial question was "who's better Mark Morton or Glen Tipton?". It isn't every guitarist's wish, and not every great guitarist is bound to become a legend. But the fact remains the fact - Glen Tipton can be considered a Guitar Legend, Mark Morton - not (at least not yet).
3. There is no standards by which guitarist's skills are measured. I understand that you're fan of Gilbert, but to me Chris Broderick (for example) is much better.
FACKIN AWESOME :D L.O.G FOR LIFE!!!
mostly penta from what i hear, hes really creative with solos.
@budgood099 ))))) Fail!
He actually has 3-5-7-9-12-15-17-19-21 dots on the side of the neck. )))
@king666nothing You better think before you push that fail button. It's a lesson, he's not showing us the side of the neck, he's showing us a fretboard with no markers.
@its420alldayeveryday There is a Pause button (looks like two vertical parallel lines) in the bottom left corner of the video window. Just hit that button and the video will stop. ROFL ))))))))))
@joker6951 ROFL Oh my god, I can't stop laughing. Your UA-cam nickname suits you perfectly. )))))))))) lol
Jesus(es) playing guitar, Awesome
i doubt that 3 piece willie tattoo on willie's stomach looks too good now
if u were goodd
learn by hear
or rewind the parts back
@king666nothing did you get this video from a dvd. which one. thanks
@king666nothing I marked 1 fret at a time hope it helps
so true
yea i love lamb of god...there are really heavy but not like too heavy like white chapel
I know this has probably been asked countless times on this video but does anyone know Willies Rhythm Part for the Intro? Or where to find it?
@BUNN47mY I marked 1 fret at a time hope it helps, its in the video response
No, I don't know them. I've met them few times, but I just talked to them. I'm sure they won't even recognize me if they saw me again.
@nameless989 Is that a reference to Down? ))))
good
Omg thats whats killing me too, have you figured it out!?!!
O my god. It's the solo. Slowed down. Halulaja its learnable
Anybody knows where these instructional videos are from? It looks like bonus conten off of Wrath from the opening title background, but i cant seem to find anything
What do i search for?
nvm i just realized it says it in the beginning but it doesnt matter cuz i learned how to play my curse by killswitch engage so =p
@pgsifu i geuss it is the original domion(1)
since he has no need to play on cheaper guitar
you can here the feedback clashing in the background
watching in HQ makes the video work though so yayy
@09ikeanmike56 Surf the web. There was no tab in the magazine, just the video.
What did you say 'bout Digitech???
LOve thaT harmony they going
Dat solo tho. How the fuck did he come up with that. Every note is perfect in it.
When I first heard this song, the solo gave me chills down my spine
it's an idea that only comes to the heads of masterminds once or twice a life
Still my most favourite guitar solo of all time. Bright going into it, blues licks and then those scale runs at the end with a sick high bend. Perfect.
@themasterofallfish They all do now. Except Randy, he needs to grow a beard.
how come people dislike this..it's like they're just covering another song and has mistakes on it..hello, they are the composers idiots!
@pgsifu
He is using the Dominion.
does any one have a tab to the solo?? i cant tell exacty what every note is!
god their good
Jackson FTW! \m/_
