This was 100% my problem. Has worked flawlessly ever since. Hope this helps someone else. The "valve" in the tube is a flapper type one way valve....fyi. It should allow water out but not back in.

Thanks for the video. Worked out. I didn't have to take off the piece inside. All I did was unscrew the screws that held the dishwasher in place, slide it out and lay it on it's side, pull off the left side metal plate, popped off the bottom panel and dried it off, took off the sensor and made sure that was dry as well, put the sensor back on, unhooked the squeeze clamps on both ends of the drain hose, ran water through the hose so it flushed the back flow preventer, blew back through the hose to make sure the air couldn't get through, put it all back together and that when the magic worked.

That's wild you figured that out. I've spent $130 on parts trying to DIY fix ours. So many problems with this unit. I took so much apart and realized that build-up is everywhere. The original owners NEVER ran vinegar rinses every quarter. Our Diverter motor part DD31-00013D or the Micro Switch DD34-00006A gave out, I replaced both and the unit is now fully cycling.

Update my problem is solve it was not a pump or hose, it was where the hose connect to the SINK connector, it was block. I took a small screwdriver and push it in that inlet and its solve my issue. Thanks to this video it help me a lot.

Thank you for introducing me to the check valve. Without knowing about the internal drain hose’s check valve, I would’ve been lost. I had assumed the plastic plumbing on the side would handle the water spill back. Unfortunately, I couldn’t clean the hose, and the check valve was worn out. Moreover, I had trouble finding a replacement hose. In the end, I improvised by using a shark bite check valve, PEX, and the rubber ends from the old hose. It worked perfectly and was much more cost-effective than buying a new hose or dishwasher. Once again, thank you for the helpful video!

They just want to sell u more product. Apple does that w the Genius Bar. They don't fix anything. They sell u a service of "parts". Then send ur old part to China. Cuz that's where most used cell phones go and all Apple products to salvage parts. It's legal to sell disassembled tech, not here. Apple has contracts so u can't.

We couldn’t get anyone to repair our Samsung DW80K7050 after it stopped draining and decided to try to fix it ourselves. This video is a Godsend! I’ve been noticing standing water in the drain after cleaning the filter-for YEARS! I didn’t think it should be there but what do I know? • @gaijinz5

    Great video!😃
On my dishwasher, I think water was leaking past the big rubber O-Ring that seals the connection of the neck of the big, flat, white plastic tray on the side of the dishwasher and the plastic "drain" cover on the inside left wall of the dishwasher. I put clear silicon LOCTITE waterproof sealant on the O-Ring, pressed the neck of the big, white plastic tray into the circular hole on the side of the dishwasher and through to the other side, then put LOCTITE around the neck of the white tray. I then screwed on the plastic "drain" cover and spread more LOCTITE around it to make the best seal possible. I don't know if this will work, but it's the only other possible source of a water leak that I could find. Thanks again!😄

Our just displayed the code last night. Checked the valve, which was ok. There was a little bit of water in the bottom tray where the leak detection sensor was. Cleaned that out and checked for any visible signs of leaking. Put back together and running several test cycles. Thanks for the video, it should be at least where to start. Good work!

I ran into this exact problem,,, we went through everything checked drain pump, pulled off same hose, not only had a wet vac been to it, I coupled over my hand and blew through it and ran water from sink... replaced the case break as that is usually a culprit for a plug... removed and checked entire drain hose... it would still drain but still too much restriction... first time ever had to replace that piece and I work as a servicer for many brands and usually this is not a common problem, case breaks and drain pumps are. Excellent video by the way in both explanation and recording...

@@LandsharkLark yes, as I didnt even try to force anything through thinking that may damage it to begin with but like I said it would drain but was restricted and not draining quickly enough. Yes case break is the general term for that plastic assembly where water is monitored coming in and then draining out.

Most generally yes, they should be clear... usually when they get some age and use you'll see anything from rust stains, to grease blockages, possibly mold or anything that might have blocked its way. Try taking air blow through it. Most generally I just replace. Do a google search on Samsung Case break click on images to look at new part images see what they look like.

I went and baught a borascope and looked for myself and found a straight shot. No check valve. I re installed the hose and it would not re- seal so I put a new screw clamp on it. I watched another video and that guy said his screws had loosened up on his drain pump. So I gave then a nice little twist with a Philips head screw driver and no leaks yet. When we moved into the house, the dishwasher has a rubber flap hanging. I cannot in any retail photo see a rubber flap hanging, every photos from Samsung shows the kick plate. Be careful as my drain hose with the flapper valve was not flexible and snapped. Forgot I had a wifi endoscope I could have used. The valve was gummed up and didn't operate well. I ended up having to replace both the drain hose with valve and drain pump because that is where my leak was. I thought I had the correct drain hose but this one is approximately two inches longer but identical PN DD81-01502A. I was able to make it fit without too much of a bind in the hose.
