I dont know how but i think he alinated every single party in sweden at the same time.
or he just delivered criticism adding to criticize Sweden's current zeitgeist.
His criticism of Sweden was fine-tuned and eloquent, without being overdrawn. It is hard to dispute anything he said.
For years, I've been witnessing the elitism of Swedish people regarding the rest of Europe (specially south of Europe). As shown in the video, a huge part of the middle class is basically... rich. Rich, elitist, distant, cold, dry, extremely individualistic people. A great country in many aspects, but if you don't share those values it's hard to enjoy.
Not sure if the ambivalence and sarcasm of his words are fully translated in the subtitles.
Though some was expressed in his manner which had a kind of ironic, and very subtle sarcasm. I don't know Swedish so your comment is helpful.
It came through loud and clear to me as someone with zero Swedish language.
The funny thing is, most of the people in the comment section are exactly the ones he's talking about...and they're behaving just as expected.
Same thing happening in Canada and its dividing the country .
You change Canada to what it was not and it keep going doing so,
if you what how it was? leave it to the people who leavde thier before you.
@@abdullahi5692 CANADA IS APLACE FOR ALL PEOPLES. SWEDEN IS NOT, IT IS FOR SWEDS, HISTORY IS SWEDISH, AND THEY SHOULD BE MIGHTY PROUD OF THEMSELVES
7 out of 8 parties wanted a sober debate about imigration, yeah sure if sober means saying everybody is welcome here and the eight party says this will cause problems (which three out of those former seven agree to now btw)...
Interesting commentary re: internet, instagram, twitter and Facebook..i understand.....thx for the insight......i am of Swedish heritage
best wishes for all from USA
Dude.. You should be more critical of what you se.
I don't know what to say. Well done, and explained as a third theory of what's happening in Sweden right now, I'll go for this version.
Sweden:we knew we were the pest
Sweden needs a hero
we have a history and we respect it and not trying to REWRITE that.we do not forget..and we learn from the past
Så känner jag det.....
I am a Swede and i don't agree with what he says it's not what I see happening in this country
i see the problems in our country as the results of many decades puritanically motivated ideologies
Puritanical ideologies ? What do you mean ?
Maybe the author wants to suggest that in the hyperconnection Era, democracy as a form of governance of human comunities is wearing out.
Nah, the issue isn't democracy it's the break down on our ability to communicate with each other. We were never meant to communicate exclusively through writing and never before have people been expected to say so much with so little. 140 characters just isn't enough to say something meaningful and even here in this comment I'm writing I am unable to have a real discussion with you to share the substance of the idea I'm attempting to convey and can't be certain that I'm interpreting your point in the way you intended. The opportunities for misinterpretation and miscommunication are everywhere. It's a miracle that anything of value is said on the internet at all.
Gnälligt, politiskt tveksamt, översimplifierat och selektiv relation till fakta. Klassiskt Svensk retorik.
Aha
It's not over yet
No Volvo c'mon
Should be titled " we thought we were the best " haha
The system is now being tested for dealing with COVID19 crisis.
Not the system, the culture. It's awful to experience, tbh.
Cold in winter I'll stay in Mexico
Sweden is destroyed in one generation. It's so sad.
Meeh. So where do you live?
@Vladimir Routing Figure out which YT account you want to answer with, then get back to me.
är med dig . vad vill du"
After nearly a year of constant trips to Sweden I realize that Sweden doesn’t have a society, just a group of people united by culture, language and race (well, kind of), the moment you become cold and individual, not communicative (as a society) even 1% of the population (immigrant origin) can dye the country in a different color due to their strong network relationships web.
Our society exists. You wont notice If you visit, but we all follow certain rules without question and we all know exactly what to do In certain situations. Discipline Is printed everywhere In our society. We are extremely cold and unforgiving to those who doesn’t follow the same social rules as us. The immigrants here will either adapt or be crushed, as have all foreigners been since the Viking Age. Sweden has always been the same and will always remain the same country that It was 2000 years ago.
The whole world is resetting their interactions every 50 years, it's like a law of nature. With the fast communication possibilities we have now it will happen just faster and with shorter intervals. Nothing will or can stop this evolution. It was never for improvement of human kind, it just changes things.
Post COVID-19 will be a very different Europe.
It will no longer be a dream, it will turn into a nightmare.
What are we to think of this? Well, I'll just say, keep Sweden it's ethno-racial-cultural distinctiveness which it developed natively.
#SWEXIT coming soon ????? Let's HOPE so! #WPRPN

Does this make me regret Brexit....not one bit! Ive seen three of these corny vids from Guardian now and they are all straw-man arguments basically boiling down to "its for the best" with absolutely no clear picture of what that actually is or means
It makes me regret, I never wanted Brexit, I never wanted Boris, I never wanted any of this
Pidols smile chum we got your back. The simple truth is we are all in this together more so than ever. The future is uncertain...however I view this as a unique opportunity to show the world and Europe especially what the Brits are made of. It will be hard howeve if we succeed the EU will have been shown just how useless and corrupt it really is. Europe should know we will always have their back but we must walk towards a future where we have a more direct say in who runs the country and what policies we choose to enact
have you perhaps considered that it isn't actually about you or Brexit and you are projecting
ugh have you considered that the eu and the guardian are projecting a pathetic attempt at shaming the uk?and it is about me, me and millions others who voted to leave
neutral in 2 world wars Sweden done nothing watched people suffer G B left e u and had the guts to leave
China kaufte die schwedische Firma Volvo?!!! Überall sind die Chinesen wirklich, genau wie in Italien! Alles haben die Chinesen!!!

@@armadillogamess7579 after world war 2 sure we are
@AsiA I. forget history and it shall be repetead
even if we speak different languages we can be together.
That is a blatant lie.
When I say European Identity, you think of...
@AsiA I. Isn't there more to it than just geography though?
Nothing, there is not a single shared "European identity". We are Europeans, but we are all different, of different languages and ethnic or national backgrounds. That is what makes Europe great.
Lord Hades so a lot of nothing. Nice culture
@@MattieK09 Of course not, not in a unified sense. Culture(s) though, there are many in Europe.
@AsiA I. So , GB is a cntinent. Thx! Well, if we digg a channel from Rostov na Don to Narva, will we finally get free? (of others gelosy)
Welcome to Rentier-capitalism......
best in what?....Arrogance.....granted! There are many things in which Sweden is not the best in Europe and the world!
Trump 2020....F the EU Globalists
This is the perfect example of divisive and superficial opinions infecting the internet. By the way the total dumbness of the first pro-Russia US president is the main cause of US having the worst coronavirus pandemic in the world.
The Trump managemant of the coronavirus pandemic is showing to the world that trolls and disinformation can harm more than the virus itself.
No part in war and conflicts?
BAE, Bofors, Carl Gustavs and SAAB would beg to differ.
The Swedish Miltary Industrial Complex is only second to the Americans
hoppas du är med os
The EU and Globalism were the worst two ideas in the past 100 years. Sad, but true. Sweden was a wonderful country, when I lived there over 40 years ago. The feminist dominated government took over and made decisions for every Swede, and acted as if they were never wrong. Now look where you are. No accountability, basically, always trusting the government and never thinking about your culture, your social system and feeling sorry for everybody else.
