The first 10 years of my life I lived in Stockholm, and yes, the city is nice; although I have horrible memories involving both children and adults talking racist nonsense about me. as a black person working in sweden becasue a company in sweden recruited me from my home country .I have experienced agressive racist behaviour where I was biking with my toddler and he was in his trailer. We came a cross a bike crossing and usually a car has to slow down but a car driven by a white male chose to speed ahead to the point where I had to swerve hitting a stationary car on the opposite road.I have had a lot of these encounters and old women screaming that my toodler will be taking the skatterpengar because I am black.Balck people have it worse.

As an immigrant myself I must say that the only racism that exists in Sweden is aimed against Swedish people only. I am a migrant living almost all my life in Germany and I visit my family relatives in Sweden often. I have to say, first, I had a positive view about Sweden. It looks very nice and the people are very polite. So, of course, you expect the people to really be kinda nice. But the more often I went there and the more I heard (assimilated, western oriented!) migrants talking about their horrific racism experience, I got more and more shocked. Surely, there are million Swedes and they have different mindsets, but I simply cannot understand where all this lack of empathy comes from. In fact, I complain less about racism in Germany after I found out what is going on in Sweden. Still, I wish the Swedes and the Non Swedes there all the best!
Being Asian living in Sweden for 16+ years, I have had a few racist encounters, but never anything extreme. But I will promise you right now, while there are so many kind people that does not care what race or nationality you are, the black community has it the worst. It's not something like they can't get a job, but the passive-aggressiveness, it's downright disgusting. Even worse, some kids are never taught about racism and similar. You can go outside and schools will have Nazi symbols because kids thinks it's "cool".
