EXTRA TIP: you can save > multiple tracks (!!!) within "Track presets" !!! 😘 ....veeery useful for vsti stacks, orchestra instrument groups, drum recording with multiple microphones, and so on.... ❤
Very interesting video, very much! I use Amplitube as Cubase VST. I created different track preset and would like to change preset automatically while Cubase is running. Do you think is it possible? Many thanks!
Is this also possible for Group Tracks? For example... I have three lead sounds (different VST's) layered in a Group Track with various effects. That would be awesome!
Great video, Dom, as always, but you carefully steer round having to explain why there are two separate ways to call up and save presets in the plugin! Did this come about as a way to handle third party plugins with their own patch selection methods? I note the upper system overrides the lower one, but if you then use the left/right arrows by the plugin name, the sound changes to whatever was on there beforehand, and if you try to go back, you can't, so then you have your selection displayed in the top box but a different sound selected. And don't get me started on Halion, where it's possible to have three different preset names on the lhs in four boxes (ie two the same name). And I cannot get my user presets to appear in the media bay in Halion, I have to use the browser. Such a great, sophisticated product, but things that used to be simple aren't any more!
Hey Dom, thanks for the great videos you keep putting out for us interested users. I was wondering if you could do a video about the modulation section of retrologue or about the whole thing for that matter. There are some on the net, but I still find it kind of difficult to wrap my head around the subject of synths cause I'm kinda new in this territory. I'm asking, because I really appreciate your style of teaching and clear way of explaining so I can understand it pretty well. Thanks again for putting in your time and effort to make those wonderful vids. Peace out from Hamburg ✌🏻
Let's be honest. Having to type your name, or initials, in order to quickly find YOUR OWN presets is not a design feature. It's a design flaw. We should be able to just immediately view our own presets without having to navigate through hundreds of default ones.
I’ve used Cubase for years and was not aware of the track preset capabilities for user content. Fantastic!
Same old Dom, excellence personified. 😀
Dom, when will your useful tips finally end? I can't skip any of your videos. I'm getting addicted!
Five Star Dom Sigalas Action.
Thank you very glad.
Thank you!! My weekend Cubase warrior is ready to save the fretless track I like. Excellent

Does it save the same way also for third party VST's and VSTI's?
Downloaded Cubase 12 just a week ago and struggled to find tuts. Thanks Dom you're the G
Awesome!!!❤❤💯💯
like always, than you Dom.
One thing I always wondered is where are all these custom presets saved so I can back them up if I ever move to a new system
Brilliant, thanks so much
In the middle example, is the Retrologue patch only saved in the track preset and not in Retrologue at all? (Even though it is a brand new patch?)
Great video, Dom, as usual! I have learned a new useful thing of Cubase
Thanks Dom, this is really a time saver.
Thanks so much
is there an option that I can save these mix chains with fx sends? and routing?
Very useful information. I need to make and use the search tags more often.
Super, thank you!
dom maestro!
pls, is there a way to create a custom folder with custom presets in cubase? regards
Simple but amazing question!
Retrologue is absolutely underrated.... very powerful synth engine, HiEnd vsti... would like to see Retrologue III !

You can filter your presets by creator easily. But I still like adding my name on the preset name nevertheless. ;)
