I honestly feel a little bad for Jojo. She has no frame of reference for normalcy in any aspect of life. Child stars are child stars, and I just see this as the beginning of what will likely be a long and painful journey for her.
Yeah, the more I see on this the more I feel empathy and concern for her. Not that she’s doing any worse now than she was previously just because the spotlight is on her now… But I really hope she’s ok, or finds her way there.

I just turned 21 today and I’m spending my day trying sake, soju, and whiskey with my parents lmao. I’m not into the whole get drunk and puke everywhere thing so I’m just gonna sip. Then again, alcohol never really interested me since my moms bio dad is a raging alcoholic so I’ve always known I don’t wanna ever get drunk based on what he’d done drunk 🫣

The idea that someone who’s never drank before could drink 19 beers and still be walking around acting goofy… no your first time drinking 4 drinks gets you drunk, 8 drinks gets you blacked out, and 12 drinks sends you to the hospital. It’s naive for her not to know that.

I totally agreed! I have gone to parties with friends and some of my friends black out or get drunk after 5-8 shots. Having 12 shots+ or drinks and not blacking out is crazy!!! That’s impossible
You and I had the exact same thought about how could she be standing/walking around after drinking that much alcohol at one time in Disney. If you've never drank before there is no way you would be functioning after only 3 maybe 4 drinks. Her speech would be slurred and she'd be stumbling around. Not to mention did she ride anything at all while she was there? I know that Epcot doesn't have a ton of ride but if you're that drunk (and a newbie at drinking especially) you'd be getting sick from a lot of rides. So apparently she never threw up because that would have been a video recorded by a lot of people who saw her and it would have been all over social media. She's incredibly phony and trying to get away from the "goodie goodie" image she had growing up but this isn't the way to do it.

I thought that at first too but I know plenty of people who have smoked for 40 years and still sing great and don't sound like that when talking. What it sounds like is vocal cord fry or vocal cord scarring which as someone who loves to sing is my idea of a nightmare senerio because it can permanently ruin the ability to sing.

Like almost every professional singer has some vocal damage, but usually only major damage like this when they're 30+ and have been signing consistently for years. It's crazy to have that much vocal damage in your early 20s. Like did she never go to the doctor as a kid? Did they never put the little light in her throat lol? She needs a vocal coach, not even to sing better, just so she doesn't destroy her voice.

When she was still pandering to young kids on UA-cam, our family spotted her in traffic on the 101, driving in a bright pink convertible with her big bow. (Obviously not in hiding). My kids freaked out , we rolled down the windows and waved excitedly. JoJo rolled her eyes and changed lanes and drove away.
I know it can be annoying to have to “deal” with fans - but when you are obviously trying to stand out as yourself in public, and your fans are little kids, you could have some grace. We never watched her after that 😂

Honestly, I feel for her. This isn't just a "her" thing, I feel like many young adults do cringy sht because they try to figure out who they are. Jojo is in her "I'm so cool and hot when I make this voice and when I act edgy"-phase. I had a phase like that too. It'll pass in a few years. Jojo’s issue is she says she’s grown up/ a bad girl, but she looks like she’s just cosplaying one.
Saying "we’re becoming an adult" when you’re already 20, dressing up in black and doing sexual dances, speaking in a gruff voice, etc, it feels like a child who is acting how "they think" an adult acts like, rather than an actual adult.

Yeah, at my peak binge drinking/alcoholic phase I was doing like 12 drinks on a hard night to black out, and that was after years of building tolerance. I'm about Jojo's height and weight too, sooooo yeah she's full of it.

I saw a vlog of a middle aged man who had 4 mixed drinks and got sick and he was stumbling etc. (he was asked to leave which he did calmly) and he was a regular drinker and did not arrive drunk. On reddit someone said one margarita at disney had them drunk but idk their background. One reason I think this is fake is that she was not asked to leave, so she probably acted normal in front of employees. The one guy I saw was not acting annoying but he did throw up in a trash can.

Yep my brother with a high tolerance had to have his stomach pumped over less than that. I don't get hangovers except one night when I had tequila, vodka, whiskey, and beer (I think malt too). Didn't even drink that much but wanted eternal sleep the next morning. I don't believe she took more than a sip of each for even a second.
I'm a mess after 3-4 drinks, there is no way she would be coherent after 17 drinks. They'd be taking her to the hospital for alcohol poisoning if she drank all of them.

People can drink even more than 17 shots of hard liquor & not get smashed. Oftentimes, Islanders, Irish, many Asians, many demographics in African countries etc don’t reach the same level of drunk as those in the west. I’ve seen it myself & I find it fascinating in some ways

When I was a heavy alcoholic I had 14 drinks in a span of idk 3-5 hours and I passed out in the middle of a golf course and woke up 18 hours later in a completely different town 😢🎉

Dude she reminds me SO MUCH of kids who were homeschooled by overbearing parents their whole lives! And I guess she was! She's extremely socially and emotionally stunted. I really think her childhood is why she's acting like this. BUT you can't blame your childhood for your behavior when you're a 21 year old adult. She has an obligation to get into therapy or do whatever it takes to fix herself. I hope she learns from all of this. I can relate. im 36 years old and ive never be taught to be independent or to grow up. my family would treat me like a child yet tell me to grow up up. when i tried to be independent they would ( as i felt) try to control me and still treated me like a child. I have a child mindset and at 36 i still mentally feel like a child but slowly breaking through that and being indpendent after i broke free from my mom. example. I tried to live on my own 10 hours away from my mom. with my 2 kids. My own apartment, job and car. I felt free. Was starting to create content for my ch. my mom came to visit she then tried talking me into moving back with her 10 hours away. Kinda wish it didn't seem like she's just distanced herself incredibly from her target audience so abruptly though. It would be interesting to see a mix of her music aimed towards children as well as adults on the one album if it slowly showed her journey from child star to adult influencer and told her story that way (if that makes any sense). Then it would make more sense to me and she could have both extremes at once with a bit of a middle ground, but then that's a bit more predictable and goes against her current concept.

Leah Sanderson is a disabled dancer who has spina bifida, which the Siwas knew when she auditioned for & made the XOMG Pop group. Leah had to have another spinal surgery which she was still recovering from when the Siwas made her come back to rehearsals early citing breach of contract basically if she didn’t. During rehearsals she started to bleed from her navel (I assume that was the incision site) and was told to out a maxi pad over it to not bleed through her costume. This wasn’t just a minor thing where a dancer was bleeding, this was forcing a child to come back early from surgery recovery to rehearse for hours when they should have been resting, which would have been bad enough on a healthy dancer, but made worse considering Leah is disabled & went through a spinal surgery. The Sandersons have videos on YT talking about it as well.
You need to get the timeline right. The event when Leigha's bellybutton was bleeding was a couple of days before the surgery and that was a rehearsal for a performance. Her coming back too early after surgery was to film a music video.

As a 26 yo none American, I never heard of her until recently. This looks to me just incredibly sad and lonely, let's put it that way I would NEVER want to walk a mile in her shoes, not now with this PR disaster and having no friends her age, not when she was in Dance Moms thing , and not when she was having her hair bleached when she was in her diapers. Honestly seeing where she is currently is quite sad. I had heard of her when I was younger, maybe 7/8 ish (Im scottish and her bows got VERY popular where i live about a decade ago). Anyway i used to hate her cause i hated the bows, but i liked her sparkle and colours (cause kids like colour and rainbows and sparkles) and it seems such a savage rebrand. I get not wanting to be affiliated with previous styles anymore but this is so harsh it seems like she went "whats the polar opposite of what i used to do" and ran with it.
It also should be mentioned that Miley wasn’t really given much of a choice with her rebrand considering she was being bashed in tabloids for smoking so her reputation was at risk had she not jumped to an adult market. And I think to fully make that jump she really had to go for it which she showed with that tv performance of Blurred Lines, whereas Jojo just put rhinestones on a black costume, some badly interpreted KISS makeup & started humping everything to show she was an adult.

Acting has a lot of child labor laws (as long as they're being followed), but reality TV production companies found a loophole. Entertainment labor laws haven't advanced with the times. Kids are exploited on reality TV and social media and have no protections or recourse. Family vloggers have the least restrictions. I can't wait for the tell calls from the kids of family vloggers. Ruby Franke's older kids will likely write one soon enough.

The thing is… when Miley went through her phase from Disney kid/Hannah Montana to just Miley it was organic. She was just trying to find herself. I am veeeeeery skeptical of JoJo Siwa being able to sing anything. At all. Her speaking voice is so fried and damaged, there’s no way she can actually sing. I’m a voice teacher and I’d be putting my student on immediate vocal rest if I heard their speaking voice sounding that raspy and broken.
This!!!! I'm a singer-songwriter and I 100% would not be able to sing if my speaking voice was as hoarse as her's. She's pushing her voice too much and I think it could be because she wants to sound older. She's ruining her vocal cords 😟

It’s more like an identity crisis. 🥴 It’s interesting that JoJo has always been her own brand. Miley was playing a character for Disney. Who JoJo portrayed was actually her. I think she’s mentally a child.. forever.
