Omg I ordered from this company I literally tried on my gown when I was pregnant once then next it stayed hanging in my closet until I gave birth. My labor birth was really smooth tell me how the dress looks like I got into a fight. It’s all coming apart buttons coming off. When I contacted the company off the shop the morning after my labor. It took me a minute to check if they messaged me back but I didn’t need to. Someone from the company got my cell number and was calling me and texting me nonstop. My after postpartum journey wasn’t as good as my birth so I just took the L and didn’t wanna deal with the company. Thought it was weird they were calling me and texting me nonstop.
I didn’t even pick up any of the calls because they were unknown numbers and the texts they were sending didn’t say anything about the dress so i didn’t kno who it was. It wasn’t until I got an email from the company saying they are calling me.
The lady us trying to accuse the customer of taking out the dress she recieved and putting the posters in the package so she can get a free replacement. But she's obviously trying to distract from the fact she's a drop shipper and not actually making the dresses
Exactly! She has no reason to steal anything. That girl has money and reviews products. She gets views without drama so the company needs to make it right and stop being asshats! Shes not the first person to accuse them of being rude. They have some negative reviews that shed light on how they handle other situations
@@Symphonia16 Yes, she's a drop shipper. I fell for one of those online 'hiring' scams ages ago when they were a new thing. All the items were cheap plastic or cheap clothing instead of quality made, which they claimed. They had me go to a websight the scammers had created to print out the shipping labels with the return business addresses, which were for well-known, genuine businesses. After the first boxes had arrived from China, I quit, because as soon as I opened them and began to sort out which crappy cheap product went to each US customer, which was several, then into new mailer bags, my critical thinking kicked in and told me this had to be a scam. I told that company I was out, just done before I really began, and asked them where to send back all the items I'd received. They weren't interested in having them back. So that also told me just how cheap & worthless these items were to them, as well. Everyone needs to hear the warnings of Drop Shipping scams. Its probably a great job for those who have no good moral conscience. It felt gross to me.
As a nurse myself the fact she is in uniform with her badge clip still in place didn’t slip past me. Even though she is speaking on her business she is still someone else’s employee and with an ego like that I would hate to ever be her patient.
Also does it not break any rules? Most places of work don’t allow you to post things online (especially such controversial things!) while you are wearing THEIR uniform! Because it looks like you are speaking on behalf of them!
The way that my jaw almost fell off when she said, "If I go into pre term labor because of the stress, my baby won't make it, but hers would be fine....." WTF???!!!!
Well, I think she meant because she is not far enough along for her baby to live outside of the womb. She is correct there. I think Babies born earlier than 22 weeks are not currently able to survive even if doctors try to save them. Because there is a high chance that intensive treatment for babies born this early will do more harm than good, doctors do not routinely attempt artificial life support. I am certain her point is that people keep attacking her using the excuse that she is stressing out a pregnant woman, but they she is also pregnant. So, they shouldn't attack either of them because that would be hypocritical. Caveat,There is one 16 week baby who survived, but that was basically a miracle. I think this is getting blown out of proportion. They both handled it differently than I would have, but it is what it is.
I’m a small business owner, and you can avoid SO MUCH CONFLICT by simply saying “I’m so sorry that happened, I’ll correct your order right now” done lmao
I run a small furniture business (in my family since 1917) with my mom and I 1,000% endorse this comment. No need for drama. Just address it, correct it, show empathy, and move on. Literally so much easier than losing your sh*t 🫣🤭🫠
She’s clearly a drop shipper and this was an accident. Just send her what she ordered and say “I’m so sorry that happened. Let me know when you get your replacement.”
Yuuuup. She’s a drop shipper and the fulfillment center put the wrong label on the package. I bet she doesn’t want to admit the nature of her business model though and got super defensive. Yikes
I came to the comments to say the same thing. She may be a drop-shipper. Accidents like this can happen pretty easily! What happened is either she’s drop-shipping where another company fills her orders for her, and she doesn’t want to disclose that, OR the people within her business that she employs to fill her orders are shipping out another company’s orders without her knowledge! OR those employees are running their own company on the side, perhaps a print company, and not telling her or she’s not disclosing this. Shady on the business owner, shady on her employees, either way something doesn’t add up and someone’s not telling the truth! The business owner really needs to remove herself from being customer-facing. This is her “baby” and she is too close to it emotionally to provide the detached and polite customer service her business needs. A customer service employee should be her next hire. Even an intern could do better. It’s about being detached enough from the outcome that you can remain professional and not take things personally.
Exactly! And it’s not even that crazy, like it happens. People would probably just laugh and be like I’m so glad they fixed it asap. Seriously wouldn’t have been a big deal had she just been honest.
I love soft spoken, empathetic women that stand up for themselves. It took me a lot of years to learn it was possible to not be a doormat while still being kind.
I am a HUGE proponent of texting and emailing. I was in a relationship with someone who would gaslight TF OUTTA me. So many times when we would disagree I would insist on texting that way I can bring out the texts of what they said instead of restating what they said because they would constantly say that they didn’t say what they indeed DID say. Also, with past employers emailing ALL correspondence is my go to so that everything is IN WRITING. Ana I can go back to it.
I don’t understand the “free gown” thing. She PAID for a gown and didn’t get one. What is even happening? This whole thing should have been “That’s beyond weird. We’re so sorry. Your gown will be on your doorstep tomorrow.” This madness almost makes me miss having to order from catalogs in the 90’s. 😂
I hate when companies/sellers use "free" in situations like this. They're giving away anything for free, they're just providing what was paid for! Anytime I hear "free" used like this, it puts me off that seller entirely. It's such a clear indication of how they see the business
Yeah lol. I think the free thing is thinking that she did actually got the dress, but removed it and made it seem like what she got was the two tubes, so that she could get another dress free??? I guess??? Which is still weird because why would she need two if it's for giving birth, unless she knows someone else that's pregs.
@@stephanies7284 She didn’t say she was doing that, and if she did that would be her choice. The girl just asked for what she ordered, and even said she was understanding about it being a little late.

@@brittneyyyann yeah I didn't imply that, you made that shit on the spot in your tiny brain for defamation purposes. As for the hormones it's scientifically proven women experience mood swings and it's quite normal and to be expected.
The saddest part of this is that this could have actually been good for her business. She could have had a sense of humor about it and made a video response saying like “that is so weird, we have no idea what happened but we’re overnighting you the gown right now and enjoy the free mystery skeleton 😂” Then she would have free publicity and Desiree seems like a reasonable person who might even say good things about her quick customer service. THEN the owner could work behind the scenes off camera to figure out what happened. But blaming the customer and questioning her new employee publicly is just so icky.
Right? Maybe even tied it into a limited edition skeleton print or something with Halloween right around the corner. This could have gone very right but she fucked it up big time.
That's exactly how this should have been handled. That's how professionals handle it. None of this should have been publicly discussed by the business owner besides the video reply that states she'll send it out asap.
Right?!! Like just send an email being like we so sorry we over nighting a new one for you. And since they have to post TT for no reason post one with a song or something being like the world can be a little weird maybe the post off mixed up well it is the season have some free Halloween decorations and if someone else got the gound I hope they like it.
This was all I could think the entire time!!!! I'd be sooo confused, but I would definitely have laughed it off, apologized, and overnighted another one. This reaction is sooooo wild
She was trying to say that the girl got the gown, then put the posters in the bag, then filmed a video complaining that she never received her gown to thus, get a free gown sent out. But like, she's going into labor only once, why would she need 2 gowns!? ✋️😭😂
That’s what I’m thinking lol I’d bet that she’s working with a drop-shipping company because there’s no way she can afford her own warehouse and her brand/inventory isn’t large enough to justify renting her own space. I briefly worked for a drop-shipping company and there were a few times when someone mixed up their shipping labels and sent items from completely different brands to the buyers. It happens. But she’s trying to act like there’s no way “her staff” could’ve done this, as if she has her own facilities and knows exactly what’s kept there. They resolved the issue and she could’ve just released a statement that said something like, “Our brand shares facilities with other brands, the customer was sent posters by mistake but the issue has been resolved.” End of story! But no, she decided to do this clownery which only makes HER look worse!
This lady pretending her dresses aren’t shipped from a giant drop shipping warehouse that sells all kinds of other Chinese made garbage is so funny. The label was accidentally slapped onto the wrong package. I wouldn’t be surprised if the person who ordered skeleton posters ended up with a new delivery gown The guy who works at this drop shipping company isn’t HER employee. He works with her, he’s not employed by her. 😂😂😂
And WHY is that something that a person wouldn't admit to a customer anyway? Might be shady to use a drop shipper, but certainly shadier to hide it when people very well will still buy your product anyway. We all know what the hell Temu and Shein are up to, they aren't losing money. Surely if they emailed her and said 'Hey we saw this, your order was accidently swapped with another one, I've sent it out.' Then boom, funny story, people will move on and this would not be a thing. She needs to hire a PR team before she does anything else ever again.
The icing on the cake would be a Tik Tok of someone unboxing a set of skeleton posters and are flabbergasted at a birthing/ pregnancy gown. That would be so funny!
“She doxxed me” lady u literally mouthed the words to your full phone number people can READ LIPS😭 also that’s why you’re supposed to call from the number listed on your website and not your personal number
Desire is woman goals, her patience, her tact, her class. Absolutely *love* her spending the $35 to ship back, a “you need this more than I do” moment, perfect response to the unhinged Lila lady’s claim that she wants free stuff
That was what I noticed straight away. She's not "trailer trash" or "ghetto". She not cussing or slinging mud. She's mild mannered, calm, classy and respectful. I know I would have not been that calm and collected on video 4 being that pregnant. I would have had a shitty attitude but she didn't she was sweet as can be. You're right... she is woman goals!
And the owner not portraying herself this way as a business owner and business marketing manager?? The owner is supposed to be the one with interpersonal skills and class, showcasing customer care. Now the business looks ratchet
I work in logistics and it’s literally so clear to me that the warehouse that she hires to store, package, and ship her products probably also does that for a bunch of other customers. One of those other customers probably sells those skeleton posters and this was all an innocent packaging mix up.
💯 that warehouse probably ships for a lot of different small companies. Not at all unreasonable that a mix up happened. Didn't have to be this dramatic.
A business owner taking a private cell phone number from an order and calling the customer out of the blue is crazy. It's like if they'd taken her adress and shown up at her house unannounced
When done right, it's one thing. A phone call from a business owner to make sure that I was satisfied after I had a slight issue with my purchase was a serious A++ moment for me and cemented my loyalty to the company. When done the way this lady did it, hard nope.
I don’t know what she had to say with her voice that couldn’t have been done quickly through email or text. Edit: Playing devils advocate, even if she tried to call; if no answer , just text or email. 🙄
If it was given as a contact for the order, there's nothing wrong with using it to contact the customer for issues related to that order. That's why you're usually required to give it in the first place, as a back up method of communication if email doesn't work.
I lost it when a food stall owner told me that I was trying to get free food and I never gave him the money I handed him 2 minutes earlier. I don't know why being called a thief is so triggering to me, but this girl has my outmost respect for keeping her cool, because I know I wouldn't
I went to a burger restaurant with my kid in Galveston. Her meal was fine, but mine was inedible. Too much grease among other issues. It just tasted off. I took it to the counter and asked if I could get a shrimp salad and I would pay the difference. I think it might have been 3 or so dollars more.. The employee yelled at me, told me that everyone likes their burgers, I am just trying to get free food, etc. I did get something else that I had to pay full price for, never got my refund. We never went there again, in spite of glowing reviews from others. I did leave a bad review. All they had to do is let me pay the difference in price and we would have been good.
The victim mentality of the “business owner” is insane. She needs to humble herself and own up to the mistakes of her business. That’s part of being a business owner.
The “I’m pregnant too and her baby will be just fine” line, seriously got me emotional. I went into labor w my son at 36 wks after finding out my dad was murdered. There is nothing fine with a stress induced labor. Thankfully we were both okay, but it was a very traumatic birth and experience. I had my first natural and he was a C-section because I was so upset and my bp and heart rate were awful. Shame on her!
I agree. I was shocked when she said that. Especially when it was coming from a L&D nurse who would know that safe pregnancies & deliveries & healthy babies are not guaranteed at ANY point in the process!! Her attitude at Desiree? (I’m not sure of the name of the TTkr who ordered the gown) & her UNBORN baby floored me. IMO, @themodernmidwife needs to get out of healthcare & anything having to do with customer service. PERIOD! If you can’t maintain your composure & professionalism when you have the time & ability to edit- & not post that reaction rant- then you seriously don’t have the personality to work in healthcare or the customer service industry.
I'm so sorry. There are a few traumatic birth/NICU ptsd groups on fb that I found extremely helpful. My son is 8 now, but occasionally something will trigger a reaction. And I know I can always pop back into that group and there will always be someone who understands. Hugs.
Way less stressful, but I also had a stressor induced labor at 4 days before full term. My car got repo-Ed due to banking error and I thought it was stolen. The sheer shock, I physically felt it run through me. I can’t imagine what you went through. I’m so sorry. I hope the grief process has moved forward for you as a new parent because that’s a very tough thing to deal with. Bless you.
This lady makes me so mad. She didn't drag your company name through the mud. She never called your company a scam. She didn't give out your phone number. Your phone number is listed on the website. She is absolutely NUTS
Yikes. As a former PR person, this makes me cringe so hard. So unbelievably unprofessional. She is SO clearly a drop shipper and doesn't want to admit that there was an error with it. I really wish these Tiktok/IG shops would take a basic PR or crisis management class. It's so embarrassing lol
But if they ran their businesses properly, we wouldn't have this amazing train wreck to entertain us 😂 But yeah, as a business owner (photo/video, so not products), who's studied up on this stuff, I also cringed so deeply 😂
@@caseclosedwithchyna5706 A drop shipper is a person or business that sells products on their website without keeping them in stock. Like listing them as homemade, small business, and really it's from an Amazon distuber. Not necessarily immoral but people should be upfront with it.
@@caseclosedwithchyna5706 Google says: Dropshipping is a business model that allows you to sell products online without having to own or operate the physical location where those products are stored and processed. This means you can start an ecommerce store and sell a wide range of products without handling inventory and fulfillment.
A drop shipper is a seller that has no inventory. When an order is placed on their shop, they order the item from a company that warehouses their products and ships it directly to the buyer. This is often why it takes weeks for the buyer to receive the item.@@caseclosedwithchyna5706
Wow, no one ruined her business as much as she did herself. She made herself look like an absolute clown. If she would have been mature about literally anything and fixed it, Desiree would have probably said it was a good experience and shown off the gown. UPS sorting is so rough, packages open all the time. The gown and the posters could have both come open and a fed up sorter could have mistakenly swapped them. I work at the UPS store and see stuff like this all the time. What a whiney little brat that owner is. She just screwed herself
Right! I think everyone understands shipping mix ups. The owner basically screwed themselves and tried to manipulate everyone. The kids, the scrubs with the badge while she whines 😳
Exactly. And that Deseree lady seems honestly so chill and nice, that she probably would have laughed the whole situation off. If they would have just said like, "we are so sorry.. we have no idea how that happened, it's so weird!! We are overnighting your gown to you right now!! I'm so sorry for the inconvenience! " She would have brushed it off, did the actual unboxing, and probably sold a lot of freaking gowns like she said in this video. It could have turned into a positive for her business actually if she handled it right.. if it was me, I would have overnighted the gown as planned but also included some extras.. im not sure what else she sells, but maybe some cute slippers to match the robe.. and then i would have went out quick and found like, some cute scrunchies with little skeletons on there just as a freaking inside joke to make her laugh about the weirdness of the whole thing. Then I would have refunded her order. It would end up costing her the cost of the robe and shipping, and that's it... but it would have made a great impression on the 800,000 people watching deseree's video. People, and businesses make mistakes. That's normal, and customers are usually willing to forgive and forget most mistakes as long as the business makes it right. I don't understand how this woman could even think going on the attack to call this pregnant ass rich woman a liar and a scammer over 50$ was a better idea. So delusional lol
That's exactly what I was thinking, it happened to an Amazon order I got before. The package had been destroyed and they repacked it, but only half of what I ordered got put in. I was immediately refunded for what was missing once I reported what happened
So backwards... I think when people get bad reviews about their business/ products they take it personally like it's an attack on them when its not. Can we say butthurt? Lol
The business owner could have just apologized profusely, corrected the situation, and then probably gotten so much free advertisement cause everyone could understand and forgive a small company for having a accidental mix up
My husband and I own a barbershop. We have had new clients come in and get a cut leave happy and say they love their haircut. Only to leave and then leave a horrible review that they hate their haircut. You know what I do…I message them offering a full refund, to come in and get it fixed, and offer my apologies. They come in get it fixed and you know what they leave happy and stay loyal customers. It’s business it’s not personal!! This was horrible!!
Thank u. I know some people are not comfortable saying I don't like it to a face. But I also don't believe in leaving a bad review just cause u couldn't say something. But I get it and thank u for not taking those personal. I would damn sure keep coming back to someone like u because even if it's bad, u fix it, or at least try. We are not perfect and sometimes even barbers and stylists can have bad days.
Facts!!! I bet you have a successful business..👍🏼 It often blows my mind when small businesses lose touch with their customers so quickly.. we are all consumers and we all value being treated with respect and integrity.. They forget the customer is always right!!!?.. If I noticed a problem with something that I paid for not living up to standard.., I would believe I’m in the right to hold corporations accountable 4 any disrespect received due to under training employees,Horrible workmanship, and unhinged business practices. Yuck
My son came out smiling from his haircut a couple weeks ago, but as he walked to the car, when he saw my face, I saw his cheeks quiver, by the time he got to the car he was in tears. His hair was so bad! It was choppy and crooked. We didn’t say anything, it’s embarrassing and uncomfortable to have to do that. We didn’t write a review, but the stylist knew it was bad, there is no way he thought it was good.
What truly blew me AWAY at the end was the “Her baby will be fine and mine would not” comment, essentially accusing the “harassers” supposedly brought on by Desire of potentially unaliving her BABY?!?! Completely unhinged behavior.
"stress calling" "questioning the integrity of my employees" DUDE IS IS NOT THAT SERIOUS. A mistake happened. Send the customer the correct order and go about your day! This is so difficult to watch; I'm embarrassed for her.
Embarrassing all around! “I’m shaking” Stress calling I lost sleep Spreading hate I could lose my baby …. Is this for real?!? We are talking about a night gown right?
First off I love that this video is 9 months old at this point, lol. But revisiting this insane situation I realized too that the owner being like "she just wanted a free dress" is nuts. What does she need TWO labor dresses for?? She's going into labor ONCE lmao
And you can enter your own weight with a lot of shipping companies, it's only any issue if the item is considerably heavier. So the entered weight means very little. Every single bulk shipped item isn't reweighed and checked individually at drop off, and they won't flag something being lighter, if you paid for heavier. What a knob the woman is.
She’s actually designed this dress. She originally made it for herself and people wanted it so she made a business. If you’re seeing other versions of this dress, then they’re the ones who stole and copied her idea.
Desire seems like a really well adjusted, emotionally well-regulated, patient and humble young woman. It's unfortunate this happened to her but you see how polite and classy she was while she defended her character.
The business owner accused Desire of leaking her phone number, but she didn’t censor her mouth when she filmed herself saying her phone number 😭 Someone could easily lip read her phone number!
I believe that both her and Andrew (i think that was his name) both also said that their phone number is on their website, so maybe that's where people got it 🤷🏼♀️
“I didn’t even want to start this business, I did it because YOU asked me to” told me everything I needed to know about this person tbh. Not to mention the irony of accusing her of lying while she’s lying about her business. She obviously shares a warehouse space and that’s how it happened. Instead she accuses this gal and her random new hire?? She’s willing to throw anyone under the bus to save face over something that literally no one cares about. Vile behavior.
To say that “her baby will be just fine” as some sort of a rebuttal is absolutely feral and unacceptable … i’m horrified for the Desire girl … but i feel bad for them both honestly. The Lila woman seems like she’s not in a good space mentally rn… such a messy situation she made for herself. Had she just said “omg we’re so sorry, we would be happy to send you a replacement gown.” This would have ended after the first video lmao

Also, to be fair, it's human nature to receive a package from this company, when you ordered a package from it, and the size or shape is unexpected, you're 100% still going to open it. How can you even lodge an accurate complaint if you don't open it and confirm it's not the product you ordered?
We have gotten this skeleton before. My wife is an artist and orders fabrics from multiple shops. One time she got skeleton stickers and 2 rolls of skeleton drawings. We thought it was a weird ass joke because her art is all about skeletons 😂😂😂😂😂 The company she ordered from basically said the same thing & that we were scamming them. It was really hard to fight it with the bank. It took 2 months to get our money back!
Tell me you're unhinged without telling me you're unhinged. I don't care how long ago this video was, I would never buy from a businesswoman like that. That influencer was so soft spoken & calm. Hope the influencer is doing well.
The girl who ordered the gown was sooo sweet . She didn't come off as lying and I understood her standing up for herself! I hope she's put this negativity behind her 🖤💕
I once sent my sister a flat rate package FULL of candy bars. My sister got the package, but not the candy bars. Somewhere within route, someone OPENED the package, TOOK the candy bars out, SEALED the package back up, and continued it on its route. It is not uncommon for there to be a thief among the mail. The busniss owner handled this so unprofessionally. She accused the mother-to-be of trying to ruin her business. She obviously didnt want your product that bad because she returned to you and her own expense. The business owner immediately went on a defense, which to me as a consumer, says this may not have been the first time for this. I hope you're not THIS tacky at your primary job!!
I don’t understand how she nor her viewers were able to come to that conclusion. I thought it was common knowledge by now that USPS, UPS, FED EX, etc. have had problems with packages going missing on route? Like it’s a very common occurrence. It was even in the news not long ago about how a theft ring was busted up that were stealing packages on route? It even happens at the airports! Insanity.
Ok my last comment: your baby is gonna be fine you’re a professional midwife. You know better than to say things like that - that is absolutely unprofessional as A MIDWIFE. Omfg. Who employs this woman
For anyone who doesn’t know: if you work in pediatric care in any way shape or form you do not talk about babies not making it unless it’s a life or death decision. NEVER. You just do not do that. And she KNOWS that. You’re kidding me right
@@kierathompson1561I don’t work in that setting but I totally get that. And just personally it feels really strange to say “my baby might not make it.” So bad.
She's not a midwife. She is a labor and delivery nurse and a doula. I'm a midwife and I take offense to her being called that while acting as she does. You can find this information on the home page of her business in the "about us" section.
As a VERY small business owner who packages all my own orders, I understand mistakes happen. Recently I accidentally mixed up two orders. One customer contacted me, and I immediately APOLOGIZED and sent her the correct item. I also let her keep the item I sent on accident. For free, really, not just sending her what she paid for. Then, I reached out to the other customer before she even contacted me. She said, yes, she had received the wrong item, and I did the same thing with her! It sucked. It was a $200+ mistake on my part- but it was the RIGHT THING TO DO! Your customers are everything. Unless I have clear and convincing 100% PROOF, there's no way I'd accuse a customer of scamming. Even if they might be, it's better to err on the side of your customers. One unhappy customer reaches 10 times as many people as 1 happy customer. Keep your customers happy!! ❤
I followed Caitlyn when I was trying to conceive because I loved the idea of her birthing gowns for if my fertility treatments were successful. Still waiting on my baby, but watching this whole situation unfold in real time has soured the company for me. Her abhorrent customer service makes me never want to purchase from her brand. It’s a shame because the gowns really look beautiful.
I got a gown from them and used it last year when I gave birth and I loved it idk if something has changed since then but I definitely recommend a labor gown when you have your baby. Definitely let me feel not as exposed lol
She didn't dox her she clearly marked out the last 4 digits and even commented to that fact... The guy said in the text that their number is posted clearly on the website. So people obviously just went there and got her number.
This is obviously a very nice, well-mannered, young woman who certainly has no reason to make a fuss over $50.00. Nor does she have any reason to want to hurt the business.
Lol so instead of contacting the company directly over the obvious mix-up, she made a video implying she got “scammed”… all for views, but everyone thinks the business owner is in the wrong?! Some of the “nicest” influencers are the worst fcking people and they get away with it because everyone thinks they’re so nice, lol
I used to run my own Etsy shop, where I handmade every single item that left my house. The audacity of that "owner", is insane. Just ridiculous. A prime example of how NOT to treat anyone ever. The much cheaper and easier solution was just to send out the correct item, and maybe give a coupon code for something free. End of story! The amount of sales she lost out on because of her fit, is probably immense.
from what i’ve experienced, people who immediately accuse others of lying are usually liars. they think other people are as bad as they are, and so that’s what they project onto others.
24:34 She looks so…sad. These people broke her spirit by questioning her character- no matter what initially was the problem, the owner showed that she doesn’t care who she hurts.
The business owner seems like a real peach😳. This is nuts, especially since the customer wasn't even rude in the least. She was clearly confused and caught off guard by getting crappy prints of skeletons and not the maternity gown she paid for. The receipts cover everything. Why the hell would the customer waste her time to lie over $50 when she clearly is doing well in life and her "brand" is shopping & unboxing. The business owner seems unhinged & and self-important, especially with the comments about pre-term labor wtf.
The irony of that quote is what makes this truly hilarious. "We love our customers". Girl, you clearly don't if you're acting like a child with a temper tantrum.
To have the owner making a video of trying to find out what went wrong and then film from her car is absolutely ridiculous. What business owner does this if they’re not guilty?
Her mom just looking at her, like do you need to tell me something. Her being like no I swear I didn't order this I wanted posters for my wall of darkness.
Omg, hilarious. It would be pretty funny if that person also did an unboxing video of the skeleton posters they ordered, and it's a whole other drama on the other side of the country with another small business. 😅
I had a similar mistake several months ago. My customer received a bunch of energy drinks instead of what they ordered (energy drinks weren’t even close & not something we sell). The customer and I had a great laugh over the phone about it, were equally perplexed and I fixed it immediately. It’s that simple. And I guarantee this customer would have treated this the exact same way. This is on the business 100%. Mistakes happen, it’s how you handle the mistake that matters.
Honestly, as somebody who has done business for 10 years, I refund immediately for every complaint and just let it go. I don't care if they're lying or not because honestly? My time and reputation are worth far more than having an argument with a customer.
If the business owner was hand making the items herself and shipping them this happening would be a surprise. But she's using a drop shipping service. Mix ups should be expected.
She clearly cares about what she’s doing “as an influencer” vs as a business owner. Some people really cannot take any accountability for the things they’re responsible for.
She could have made her own video saying “omg guys the weirdest funny thing happened…. We are overnighting her a gown and if this happens to anyone else let me know!” And made it into a funny “what the hell” moment. People would laugh and commend her for her food customer service
The Lila woman is so deeply angry. She contradicted herself so many times, plus she said this has happened to her a few times before-well if it's happening more than once, that means it's HER, not the customer. Basic business sense.🙄 Kiki, keep doing these videos! You're the only one I watch who covers these things.
This is wild!! I’m so glad you saved all the videos. The OP didn’t leak your phone number… apparently the phone number is on your website, which y’all said. Does this girl have pregnancy rage or something?
Did you think the dress was going to be indestructible?
I’ve had three births and never have I had buttons pop off or tears in my gown after having my babies. It’s clearly poorly made…
If it's advertised as a "labor gown" it should be able to hold up during labor.
@@Bbycakesxbthis company sounds absolutely unhinged wtf
A "free gown"?? What is she even talking about? The girl already PAID for it and hasnt recieved product. Its not free, its what shes owed.
Say it loud say it proud!!
The lady us trying to accuse the customer of taking out the dress she recieved and putting the posters in the package so she can get a free replacement. But she's obviously trying to distract from the fact she's a drop shipper and not actually making the dresses
That’s what I’m thinking too like how does she benefit financially from getting the dress
Exactly! She has no reason to steal anything. That girl has money and reviews products. She gets views without drama so the company needs to make it right and stop being asshats! Shes not the first person to accuse them of being rude. They have some negative reviews that shed light on how they handle other situations
@@Symphonia16
Yes, she's a drop shipper.
I work in healthcare and this was my FIRST thought.
Yep! I work for a healthcare network and thought the same.
I think she did it on purpose to make people feel sorry for her
Also does it not break any rules? Most places of work don’t allow you to post things online (especially such controversial things!) while you are wearing THEIR uniform!
Because it looks like you are speaking on behalf of them!
@@IggyBrosyeah i work at a grocery store and cant do that cant imagine being a health care worker and pulling that shit
The way that my jaw almost fell off when she said, "If I go into pre term labor because of the stress, my baby won't make it, but hers would be fine....." WTF???!!!!
Yeah the world is upside down right now delusional people really believe their delusions 😮
Such a nasty thing to say
Totally out of pocket.
What you said 💯👍seems like she has some mental issues
I’m a small business owner, and you can avoid SO MUCH CONFLICT by simply saying “I’m so sorry that happened, I’ll correct your order right now” done lmao
Yesss!!
It truly is that simple!
I run a small furniture business (in my family since 1917) with my mom and I 1,000% endorse this comment. No need for drama. Just address it, correct it, show empathy, and move on. Literally so much easier than losing your sh*t 🫣🤭🫠
LITERALLY! the message she left?? i was waiting for a simple “we’re so sorry about your experience” but nope
That's exactly what I was thinking
Exactly! And it’s not even that crazy, like it happens. People would probably just laugh and be like I’m so glad they fixed it asap. Seriously wouldn’t have been a big deal had she just been honest.
This was my immediate reaction as soon as I saw the first video of the woman opening the wrong order.
I love soft spoken, empathetic women that stand up for themselves. It took me a lot of years to learn it was possible to not be a doormat while still being kind.
❤
Amen 🙏🏾💙🥹

Now learn you can be kind without speaking like a child
She seems so sweet
She was smart to not talk to them over the phone and to insist on text or email, that way what was said could be verified in writing.
That's why they kept calling her. No paper trail.

Maybe she's reimbursing her AND giving her the gown.
@@stephanies7284 She didn’t say she was doing that, and if she did that would be her choice. The girl just asked for what she ordered, and even said she was understanding about it being a little late.

@@brittneyyyann exactly!!

She hasn't even gotten the first gown yet. How is she getting a free one?!
She was trying to say that the girl got the gown, then put the posters in the bag, then filmed a video complaining that she never received her gown to thus, get a free gown sent out. But like, she's going into labor only once, why would she need 2 gowns!? ✋️😭😂
plus , she has paid for it already. she was not getting anything for free.
What will be funny is if the person that actually ordered those skeleton posters comes forward and says they received the gown lol
That’s what I’m thinking lol
I’d bet that she’s working with a drop-shipping company because there’s no way she can afford her own warehouse and her brand/inventory isn’t large enough to justify renting her own space.
Unknowingly relieving all this drama for multiple people when they make their video confused why they got a hospital gown 😂
The business owner could've joked about that in her response. It would've released some tension, too.
I was literally thinking the same thing!!

I work in logistics and it’s literally so clear to me that the warehouse that she hires to store, package, and ship her products probably also does that for a bunch of other customers. One of those other customers probably sells those skeleton posters and this was all an innocent packaging mix up.
Exactly this
💯 that warehouse probably ships for a lot of different small companies.

I’m so sorry that happened to you. And I’m sorry for the loss of your father in such a way.
So sorry you went through that.
Yikes. As a former PR person, this makes me cringe so hard. So unbelievably unprofessional. She is SO clearly a drop shipper and doesn't want to admit that there was an error with it. I really wish these Tiktok/IG shops would take a basic PR or crisis management class. It's so embarrassing lol
But if they ran their businesses properly, we wouldn't have this amazing train wreck to entertain us 😂
But yeah, as a business owner (photo/video, so not products), who's studied up on this stuff, I also cringed so deeply 😂
What is a drop shipper
If they would have just said like,
"we are so sorry.. we have no idea how that happened, it's so weird!! We are overnighting your gown to you right now!! I'm so sorry for the inconvenience! "
She would have brushed it off, did the actual unboxing, and probably sold a lot of freaking gowns like she said in this video.
I was coming to say this 🤣🤣 it was UPS they did it 🤣🤣
That's exactly what I was thinking, it happened to an Amazon order I got before. The package had been destroyed and they repacked it, but only half of what I ordered got put in. I was immediately refunded for what was missing once I reported what happened
She would NEVER post a video criticizing another small company... but she'll post a video criticizing a customer.
So backwards... I think when people get bad reviews about their business/ products they take it personally like it's an attack on them when its not. Can we say butthurt? Lol
The rate that she’s going, she’s going to from a small company to a no company.
Bless you I wouldn't of been so nice since they left happy then left comments without contacting you 1st to rectify the situation.
Facts!!! I bet you have a successful business..👍🏼
It often blows my mind when small businesses lose touch with their customers so quickly.. we are all consumers and we all value being treated with respect and integrity.. They forget the customer is always right!!!?.. If I noticed a problem with something that I paid for not living up to standard.., I would believe I’m in the right to hold corporations accountable 4 any disrespect received due to under training employees,Horrible workmanship, and unhinged business practices.
Yuck
Exactlyyyy. Business not personal
Me 2.
Same!
Same here. I didn’t know I needed that content but for some reason I am hooked 🤣
Embarrassing all around!
“I’m shaking”
Stress calling

“I’ve always built this company off of transparency and authenticity from the beginning.” Proceeds to delete her videos
😂😂😂
And you can enter your own weight with a lot of shipping companies, it's only any issue if the item is considerably heavier. So the entered weight means very little. Every single bulk shipped item isn't reweighed and checked individually at drop off, and they won't flag something being lighter, if you paid for heavier. What a knob the woman is.
💀💀💀
She's a RESELLER! Those gowns are manufactured and sold by so many people. lol.
She’s actually designed this dress. She originally made it for herself and people wanted it so she made a business. If you’re seeing other versions of this dress, then they’re the ones who stole and copied her idea.
@@kristinaderyavko6876 She may have designed them, but she doesn't hand make them all. She has them made and shipped for her.
@@kristinaderyavko6876 lol where in the video did she open the package for you to say it's the same dress?
Reseller and drop shippers are different. If she was a reseller handling her own operations she would have known what was in that package
They supply gowns in the hospital, is.
Desire seems like a really well adjusted, emotionally well-regulated, patient and humble young woman. It's unfortunate this happened to her but you see how polite and classy she was while she defended her character.
She's so nice!! I feel so bad for her.
The whole time this business owner worried about how this pregnant woman made her look, when all she did was make HERSELF look bad!
The business owner accused Desire of leaking her phone number, but she didn’t censor her mouth when she filmed herself saying her phone number 😭 Someone could easily lip read her phone number!
EXACTLY!!!!!
Exactly and Desire DID censor the last digits of the phone number! She is unhinged!
THIS.
I’d say she did this on purpose so she can further leak it, and blame the customer for it all
I believe that both her and Andrew (i think that was his name) both also said that their phone number is on their website, so maybe that's where people got it 🤷🏼♀️
Im glad she sent that gown back. Exactly...she doesn't want that bad energy around her for delivery
So funny how she took a bad situation and made it soooo much worse for herself and her business. Egomaniac.
It literally wasn't even a bad situation, it was a funny and strange situation that she made bad 😂😂😂 it's so wild.
Right? It would be a funny story had she handled it properly but she decided to make it so much worse.
😂 yeah people don't start businesses out of a goodness of their heart they start them to make money.
Yep she was clearly lying
The customer is under no obligation to do anything for her. She is a prime example of ANYONE can be a business owner but not EVERYONE should be.
Not being in a good space mentally is never an excuse for what this 'business owner' did.
@@TiffWaffles i agree!

She's definitely a dropshipper but obviously lies about being one. She tried so hard to make it seem like she was a small business with "three employees " but these showing up in the order would have exposed her as a dropshipper.
That or the guy who's running this for her is running a side business out of her thing and that's why he was so quick to get defensive about the situation
Yes this is why she’s freaking out because she so desperately wants the “small business” label/aesthetic. Probably, I don’t know for sure…

"Good customer service is the best defense", that is so true. I ordered a pan once and it came damaged, so I hit up the customer service and send them pictures as well. They were so nice, apologized, send me a brand new pan and i didn't even had to send the damaged one back. That's how you do it. They got full 5 stars from me and really good review.
Exactly. Everyone fucks up but you show who you are as a person or a business by the way you handle it.
But what you did was contacting the customer service first of all and not right away posting a 'look I've been scammed by these guys!' vid to your large following . That's the problem. Those 'influencers' are entitled as sh*t and are ready to ruin other people's businesses just for hype's sake, without even contacting the business first.
@@claire2.097 I'll give it to you, that is a little tactless. But then she did go through normal channels. They didn't.

The unprofessionalism. She obviously can not handle running a business at this time.

They should've been like, "Hey, that's really strange and concerning. Let us send you a new gown, and in the meantime, we'll do some research on our end to figure out what went on." Period. But she immediately accused Desiree of having ill-intent and caused this entire thing to go sideways. I agree with what someone else said - she's probably a drop shipper but didn't want to admit that, so she immediately got defensive.

The company’s anger over them not calling before opening the package is a hit ridiculous. This is how unboxing videos work in 2023. Also, as someone who works in customer service, she took the totally wrong tact and she’s probably damaged her business more than she realizes. The videos may be deleted but the internet is forever.
Sounds like someone in the warehouse might be doing this on purpose

What is with tiktok business owners thinking customers have to reach out to them before leaving an honest review?? Its absurd. It's so entitled.

14:00 the customer is not getting a 'free gown' when she never received her gown in the first place...
24:34 She looks so…sad. These people broke her spirit by questioning her character- no matter what initially was the problem, the owner showed that she doesn’t care who she hurts.
:( She really seems like such a sweet, mellow girl too. It's disgusting how she was treated
She's LOCO. This "business owner" is doing a damn good job at sabotaging her "company" all on her own.
“We love our customers” you automatically accuse them of trying getting over on you without any proof and filming that. Weirdo vibes

Literally? It's also the looking down and not looking at the camera or making eye contact when she was saying they haven't scammed anyone 👀
My favorite implication of this situation is that some emo teenager somewhere was expecting wall decor and got a labor gown instead 😭😭
Oh my gosh, I absolutely love this idea 😂
Lmao yess 😂 I thought the same

Her mom just looking at her, like do you need to tell me something. Her being like no I swear I didn't order this I wanted posters for my wall of darkness.
Omg, hilarious. It would be pretty funny if that person also did an unboxing video of the skeleton posters they ordered, and it's a whole other drama on the other side of the country with another small business. 😅
Good grief. I’ve been in PR for 30 years and this is one of the most botched business responses I’ve ever seen. What a blunder for a business owner.
Perfectly professional way to handle this situation, well done!!
👏👏👏💯💯💯
Yep!
Absolutely.
Lol somewhere, there's someone that ordered skeleton posters is wondering why they got a gown.
The Lila woman is so deeply angry. She contradicted herself so many times, plus she said this has happened to her a few times before-well if it's happening more than once, that means it's HER, not the customer. Basic business sense.🙄
