- The moment that Season 3 of Build & Battle has been leading up to... fifteen days and two $10,000 budgets later. One Honda K24 powered 350z, vs an LS swapped Camaro. Two very different approaches by two very different builders to compete against the clock in a heads-up Gymkhana GRID race, right at Irwindale Speedway - the very place where the first Gymkhana GRID invitational was held in America. Who will win the race? Who looks best? Who sounds best? Who had the best build quality? it all comes down to this final challenge.

Loved it bro, just said in another reply that I hope to see a champion of champions build off at some point. You guys took it to another level in this build off, mad skills from both teams. Imagine the car the 4 of you could knock out in a week or two with combined budget, massive respect.

A world series in my opinion.
Agreed brother, this build off series took it to another level. The teams had a good level of friendship with typical garage banter and ribbing but both showed some mad skills along the way with the fab work.
If I can ask for one thing in the future please do a champions build off edition with a 3 way final or semi finals etc depending on how many series are in the pipeline, we could even have a losers 3 or 5 day shoot out at a track come next summer. A++ content, really loved these builds, the fact it was close after starting with that crappy Camaro speaks volumes of the work put in, truth be told imo no losers in this build off. Respect.

I think they had the first 2 rounds backwards. Originality goes to 350 and quality was there in the Camaro
I thought the same thing. But they had to make the points somewhat close so that the reading could be the deciding factor.

I'm proposing a 3 man crew. This season the build teams were missing a third member. A three man team : driver/team captain; builder /fabricator /visionary ; and lastly a knowledgable tuner (something other than holley and AEM). If all three members chip in wpuld the build end up with a more focused goal.
i think holley and AEM are sponsors, i could be wrong.
@@chair362 I've taken a few forays into Megasquirt and know there are many different ECU options for tuning a car. The only item i think that has remained consistemt is the AEM /Holley being used as the programming . this show could be awesome with a NB boosted mx5 with Megasquirt facing a 1uz swapped cressida with. LINK ECU.

They don't necessarily have to have those three areas. Overall you'd still have a much more complete/finished build.

I see your beef, but it was original for the fact that it was competing in a Gymkhana Grid competition. That Chevy's got NO business in that kind of competition..until they made it happen. Never-before-done IS a pretty big trump card, though.

People drift Z's all the time. Drift Z's have been done a million times, it's an old recipe. Yes it has an original engine but that's it. They didn't even change the transmission. Honestly who cares about some four cylinder the only reason they did that swap was because of budget constraints anyway. V8 Fbodies literally never get tracked or drifted. They had to fabricate their own front suspension which is really impressive, and they had to custom fab their rear end and rear suspension just to get it to be able to hang with the import guys. I bet that car sold for a LOT of money.
Rally cross. Any drive train. Any region but cars must be 20 years or older. Maybe make it a group B rally throwback. 15K budget, teams must be a driver and then be a co-driver. Best combined time at the end wins the race.

This season was great, but they all have been honestly. This show has turned out to be my favorite thing on youtube, every season has been an absolute banger filled with comedic gold and top notch entertainment.

I feel originality should go the the 350 though because literally no one looks at a Z and says "yeah let's put a honda engine in it" but everyone does an ls swap
It's not just about the motor. A ton of parts were custom made and the fact that a 3rd gen camaro is a gymkhana car is what got it originality points. Th 350z was pretty much stock besides the engine.

Imo the best season of build & battle so far. Great show of skill the comedy was on point the builds were simply amazing. Loved the k swapped 350 and the 3rd gen Camaro being given a life it was never intended for. Both were awesome builds and took mad skills imo. I just loved this season. As I said imo the best season so far for build and battle. Suppy and jamo are wicked awesome together but so was josh and Alex. I feel it was a well matched battle and would pay good money to see a combination build where suppy,jamo,josh and Alex work together on something just wickedly insane. I feel their skills together would be a great fit and they could make anything and make it well. But again that's all imo.
Guess nobody noticed the Camaro did 720s around both barrels. When they only had to do a 360 around the 1st one.

And its more of an 540 in the first one and 900 in the last, since they leave the ring opposite direction of the entry. A little confusing

Being able to “hire” a driver is about as legit as Vargas’ parts sourcing.
I mean Brad's part sourcing seems a bit more sketchy, mainly because he more or less has a junkyard of parts at his house.

Hardly, The 350 was a miles better car but Jamo drove it like a learner. It would have been boring to watch if they just got totally whitewashed because he can't drive it for shit. It was good to show which was the better car but who were the better drivers.
Both those things made me so mad
Soupy and Javo have one of the funniest dynamics I've ever seen, certainly on this show. Love it!
What this competition needs is fan/spectators, make it an open private event. Lot's of fans already, we want to see these builds up close. More money from the fans/spectators and more support for their charity.
Not that I could ever go to far away but thats a great idea
the problem is with everyone having a cell phones it's impossible to keep the outcome quiet until the actual episode airs so either it would have to be done live way after the build off happens or they'd have to spend time making an NDA contract for every spectator.. not really worth the time for the pennies they'd make after all the expenses required just to have spectators there.
I would like to see AWD rally cross for season 4 and hope big boss Ken will show up to it as well . 10k for cash and both builders have to be in the car when they are rallying

That’s the only proper way to make sure that both cars “work” properly before the Z gets sent back to Suppy and the Camaro gets sold to its new owner.

theres actually an SR20 swapped 350 in the time attack circuits and it boogies. like 600 hp i think and its small light and sits back. the v6 was a renaut idea and.. frankly no me gusta

The Camaro was a bag of crap in truth compared to the 350 from day 1, the fact they built a car so competetive is epic. It was honestly a shame one team had to lose this build off.
Next should be rally or rally cross for sure, and more of the bonus Chanel content this has really made this season for sure
Love this series, it’s such an awesome concept and is so cool to see what the contestants build each time. My best friend and I are both 19 and have been working on and building cars for the past 3 years and would love the opportunity to be on a rally/rally cross season of build and battle. We aren’t as experienced as any of the teams that have been on the show so far but feel like we could help inspire some younger builders who are too afraid to try and take a risk by digging in and wrenching on their car. And kick some ass and do some sick donuts/burnouts.

My suggestion; Time Attack. Don't need a ton of money, just aerodynamic knowledge and know-how. I'd imagine a Miata vs Porsche 944 with fat turbos, probably v8's, and an insane amount of aluminum aero including flat undertrays with full length diffusers
+1 for this idea. the hoonigan team knows a ton of time attack people from their build biology series too. They NEED to bring that series back.
