I have learned about HIPAA so many times, but I always feel like I am learning new things from different lessons. Thank you again for another super helpful video on how important it is to protect patients and their information!
The amount of lists in this video is intense. Hang in there! Let me know what questions you have!
I never really knew much about HIPAA before the video, but I found the information very interesting. I also never knew how important that HIPAA was. Thank you for the very informative video.
It was great to learn more about HIPAA. I have heard a lot of what not to say in terms of HIPAA, but it was nice to learn the other perspective of when HIPAA is not required even when it probably won't apply as a scribe. Thanks for the video!
This video was super helpful in making sure we are aware of how sensitive the information that we will be working with is. Thank you!
I have worked in the medical field in many different settings and HIPAA has not always been explained very well. I was always just told to not share patient information and that was it. I appreciate that you used an example in the beginning, it really helped me to understand what I can and cannot say regarding different experiences that I encounter with patients.
Thank you so much for your feedback, Jazz. It holds incredible weight because of your experience in the field.

Wow! I didn't know this much about HIPAA even with a family member in a med career. Thank you for the information. It was super interesting and informative to understand how patients are protected this way.
It's sooooo much information🤯
I used to work as a Nurse's aide, and I had to keep HIPAA in mind when I would chart and when I would discuss patients' conditions with other employees. However, I never received any lengthy training on HIPAA so this video was very informative and I am happy to have more knowledge on the subject now.
Given your experience as a Nurse's aide, what do you think of the lists included in the video?
@@KellyOSchulte I thought they were really useful! I enjoyed learning more about HIPAA besides what they told us for charting and speaking with other employees.
@@caitlindowning2996 That’s super helpful. Thanks for the feedback!
Thank you for the crucial information about HIPAA. It is good to know how to approach it as a scribe, as well as how my information is handled as a patient!
Great to know your rights as a scribe AND patient✅ Thanks for your feedback🙌
Thank you for the video this week. This helped me clarify what HIPAA is and how to obey it.
I'm glad the video gave you the basics🙌
Thank you for this week's video and for laying out the importance of patient confidentiality and HIPPA.
Thanks for sticking out the not-so-exciting BUT essential material. We start scribing next week🙌
This was a very informative yet concise video! Thank you! I wasn't aware of all of the circumstances in which HIPAA does not apply.
I was surprised when I learned about the circumstances in which HIPAA does not apply. A good rule of thumb is to act as if it always does, to be safe! 🙌
Thanks for this video! It really helped me to learn about the seriousness of HIPPA violations and how to avoid them.
Thanks for watching! I’m glad it helped✅
Thank you for the important information on HIPAA and how to handle cases.
Thanks again for another informative video! Though there were a lot of lists, I honestly appreciated hearing the specifics; it helped give me a better idea of what types of information need to be kept confidential under HIPAA.
Thank you for the feedback, Ben! I struggled with whether or not to include the lists. It is valuable to know it helped give you a better idea of the types of information. Next week we will start scribing!
Thank you so much for all of the information. The stories make it so much more relatable and easier to understand. It was so nice to compare the stories. I'm sorry that I am so late watching this video.
I'm glad the stories help! Thanks for the feedback🙌
This was very interesting because I never realized how many different identifiers there were. I always thought there were maybe 5 max, not 18!
Thank you
Thank you for watching!
HIPAA is extremely important to understand properly and I know that I would not want my information to be handled carelessly! It is also a little bit scary to think about the consequences of violating HIPAA, but they are important nonetheless.
Agreed and scary indeed😅
