I'm not really good at reading But I read 5 books this year and I'm so proud of myself that I did something which I never thought I would Gonna start reading more this year😊❤
This is How You Lose the Time War has beautiful prose and I loved the creativity in how the letters are delivered, but it is also very confusing 😂 it really just drops you in the middle of a war without giving any context about the war which is pretty frustrating. So I also have mixed feelings about it!
Loving your reading journey Clarisse! 📚 That part about "When Breath Becomes Air" really resonated - it's such a powerful memoir. As a video editor, I was genuinely impressed by how you structured the book reviews in your vlog - the pacing and transitions were spot on! Your enthusiasm for books really shines through in your editing style. I actually edit videos professionally and would love to collaborate sometime if you ever need help with your content. Really looking forward to your 2025 reading goals video! The montage of your cozy reading spots was *chef's kiss* 👌
I read this is how you lose the time war awhile ago so I dont remember all the contents of the book, but I remember being very confused while reading it. I kinda embraced that though after the first half and just focused on the love story, not the world building. I think its a beautiful book and I really enjoyed the concept of it!
I read tons of F&SF and I also write it and I, too, found HOW WE LOSE THE TIME WAR a tough one. It's a dense book. It contains some gorgeous writing, but I think it's almost designed to benefit from a re-read.
i would loveeee to see more book content from you!! it’s such a cozy video to watch. if you haven’t read “if he had been with me” and “if only i had told her” already then i definitely recommend them! they’re easy to read and really cling to your heart, maybe you can read them in a video and do a little review after
Ooo maybe you could do a live read-along where you do a readathon and we as the viewers could read with you. a bit like a “study with me” but for reading!!! i love your channel by the way xx
Hi Clarisse! ⭐ How You Lose the Time War is quite a complicated book to read. It uses a peculiar style of language, and most of the time, it feels confusing, like you’re not fully understanding what’s going on. But when you get to the final chapters, everything suddenly clicks, and you see how it’s all connected. Personally, I really enjoyed that aspect of it. Anyway, I loved your content, and I just wanted to wish you a Happy New Year! 🤍
Hi Clarisse! I just wanted to say happy new year! You’re my favourite person to watch as a fellow book-loving Canadian, and the way in which you speak to your audience is so eloquent. Please keep making content - you’re so inspiring as I’m working towards university applications as well as taking better care of myself. Thank you and Happy Holidays 🤍
The first video of 2025, Happy New Year, May this years bless you with everything you need, want and more! I always enjoy watching your videos and they help me being motivated so thank you for that! Hope you are okay and have an amazing year.

The same thing I did before the end of 2024 ❤
I’m currently finishing up Moby Dick and it is a SLOG!
Would you please slow down a little while you're talking? English is not my first language and sometimes it's hard to catch up. ❤
watch it at a slower speed lmao this is so dumb
