    Salut! Your videos keep me on the edge all along. Great camera work, superb editing, no junk music, just the right amount of sweet engine roar. Although I'm not a great fan of ruining untouched wilderness with an aggressive ATV, I still have to admit your driving skills are impressive and it's a thrill to watch. You're also courageous to go solo without a second vehicle to pull you out if needed (although I do the same :-))

      Hey !!
      Many thanks for taking the time of writing those kind words & give your opinion ! 😃
      Thoses videos were about pure off-roading, & now I'm on a turn, selling the Discovery tomorrow, but I will keep traveling with a small, cheap & modified hatchback !
      Check out one of my last video called "traveling with my dag in a 200€ car" 😉

    Subscribed & liked! Great vid! Your other videos are interesting and informative too. I'll try and remember some techniques when I'm out in my D2 TD5 - not that the green lanes I've driven in the UK are as "extreme" as those forest tracks. Traction control is bloody good when it works - a CDL makes it better as long as you disconnect the switch which disables the TC and ABS when the centre diff is locked.

    • @BaptistePitois
      @BaptistePitois  9 років тому +1

      Thank you. I think that when you engage diff lock, it disables TC, but if you turn the engine off with CDL engaged, and then restart it, it will work with CDL + TC.

    very nice vid! well done... pse explain why you don't have the CDL... your model should have it by default, you need only to make the connection with the hi-low range lever and that's it, you'll notice a strong advantage using it, as the TC will work much more efficiently. By the way you showed a good off-road driving skill

    • @BaptistePitois
      @BaptistePitois  9 років тому

      Thanks for your comment. It has the CDL, only the linkage is missing, I have to buy one or find a D1 linkage :)

    What do you say about the tires? Satisfied? The reviews i have found, have been good. Your real-life experience-comments? I just bought the same tires for my Subaru Outback (2008, 2 inch lift). But haven`t driven them in mud yet.

    • @BaptistePitois
      @BaptistePitois  9 років тому

      Pretty good tires, but I think my next mount would be Hankook RT-03, we got them on the P38 and they are more polyvalent and good on the road too.
      Hey it should be funny to drive an Outback into the mud !! :)

      Transsmission. Hey B. How is things? You're using grabbers at. Have you tried the grabber at2? I think they're better offroaders(and probably worse onroaders). Make us know your opinion. Cheers mate

    why TC light illuminates all the time?

    • @checa160
      @checa160 7 років тому +2

      Henry Ding Pino. TC doesn't help when too muddy. It stops wheel by wheel trying to get traction but it actually slows the car down loosing momentum untill it's stuck.
      I sopose Batiste put a switch to the TC fuse or directly took it out for the mud.
      Good video and places as usual. Thanks B. Cheers

    • @BaptistePitois
      @BaptistePitois  7 років тому

      On the last obstacle, you can clearly see the TC slowly killing the engine power !

      Transsmission Which one is better Manual or Automatic?

    • @BaptistePitois
      @BaptistePitois  9 років тому +1

      End Times Rider I personnaly prefer manual because it's more technical. But each of them has their good and bad points.

    • @levannatelashvili1824
      @levannatelashvili1824 9 років тому

      Transsmission I agree with you. But one thing what I heard about the Discovery is these cars has a problem with a transmission gear box, but exactly automatic or manual I don't know. I would like to buy Discovery 2 and I am worried about this thing. As you have a lot of experience about this type of car, which one would you advice? -) thanks a lot in advance.

    • @BaptistePitois
      @BaptistePitois  9 років тому +1

      Hmm I've never tried an automatic discovery 2. This really is a personnnal choice. It's my daily driver in Paris, and I sometimes miss an automatic gearbox :) But really happy to have a manual while offroading
