240x160 scaled up to 1080p 60fps video. What a time to be alive.
This video takes up more storage space than every mega man rom combined. (I love me some mega man - please continue uploading ^_^)
I mean when you throw it and it circles around you it's technically a shield
I mean, it's technically protecting you from harm by killing everything around you, so I guess?

Shield Boomerang effectively turns Zero into a boss fight for bosses
These are the most beautiful Skipping rope in the world!lol
That shield is what got me through hard mode in Megaman Zero 2
The non-fan megaman: Shield boomerang sucks a lot!.
Magnus Zero: Fine, then i prove that you all wrong.
Idk why UA-cam recommended me you, but god damn I can’t stop watching! I am a happy fella
The proof that Zero must be in Smash bros
Don't do that... don't give me hope.
Zero and Yuri Lowell are my dream-come-trues.
And here I was feeling so accomplished when I finished Z3 by the skin of my teeth and then I see this flashy monster.
You have changed my mind on the Boomerang
who needs cyber elfs when you have your own shield boomerang house pet?
Ah yes, the Captain America method of victory: defencing them to death.
Did I just hear a slander against the best weapon in the entire series?
You show 'em how it's done.
The noise Flizard makes when he regrows his tail is hilarious yet unsettling. Poor bastard sounds like he's about to vomit.
Everybody: "This weapon sucks."
A literal fucking ninja: "Hold my sake."
I'll always stand by my statement that the Orbit Shield is cool as hell.
The charged atack looks like a rasenshuriken
Actually, it's the other way around. Zero 1 came out way before Naruto Shippuden, and that was when the Shield Boomerang was first introduced. But now that you mention it, I never realized Shield Boomerang is technically based off of a windmill shuriken.
@@ShintaTakama in zero 1 all four weapons are based on the four gaurdians so I guess that make sense for phantom.
@@ZNemerald Phantom kinda reminds me of the Shadow Armor from X6 somewhat.
Hot damn have I been blind to this bad boy. I'm not terribly good at finding stuff in these kind of games so your videos have been helping me have a lot more fun! I definitely gotta start practicing with Shield Boomerang now, I always wanted to use it for something but originally couldn't see any use for it personally. Now I see that it shreds the non believers lol, many thanks
wait, it's POSSIBLE to recoil rod off of those attacks? WHOA
Shield Boomerang ain't as bad as I thought it was if you can do cool tech options like this with the EX skills.
i think this video has shown the shield boomerang to be better than juar "not as bad as i thought"
it all depends on the skill of the player
@@peacewalker3344 It really does. Although the weapon is a bit janky though
which makes it more impressive to see it being used effectively. the fact the game lets it spin around indefinitely around you as long as you time your jumps right is pretty darn useful
Your favourite Zero weapon from each game
Mine are
X4 : Rising Fire
X5 : C-Sword
X6 : Zero Guard Shell
X7 : Suiretsusen
X8 : Rasetsusen
Z2 : Energy Chain
Z3 : Orbital Shield
Z4 : Ice Blade
What about Zero 1?
@@jess648 as far as I can tell, Z1 doesn't have EX skills. It's been a long I've played it.
Nice list. Mine is
X4: Raijingeki
X5: C-Sword
X6: Ensuitzan
X7: None
X8: Rasetsusen
Z2: Sharp Edge
Z3: Split Heavens
Z4: Thunder Stab
Zero is pretty much Breath of the Wild in Reploid form. Years after release and discoveries are still being made on how they play.
PS: Plz make a vid solely on Shield Boomerang and how someone as stupid as me can use it well. Lol
What do you expect? The GBA had some freaking gems on it. They really outdid themselves on this series though
@@GeoffDaCow Legit. Zero is far more polished than any other GBA series. Hell, it's even better than it's ZX sequels.
@@Timelesshero1711 I want to deny that because I love zx and zxa, but I cant
All weapons have a purpose, and this guy managed to show the Shield Boomerang's true power on the battlefield!
Kudos to your gaming skill too, it was soo damn godlike.
Bro you be pulling off wild shit LOL
Just beat Zero 3 for the 3rd time days ago and I can't pull half the shit you be pulling. Much respect
Not to undersell his skill but he said himself that he has played this game since his childhood, he has had a lot of time to improve. He didn't start out as a badass.
YOU'RE NUTS! I feel like we haven't even come close to the boundaries of what this game can do.
D-Did you just use recoil rod to bounce on a projectile in that first clip
AND THEN YOU USE IT TO BOUNCE TRETISTA’S PIPE BACK AT HIM IS THE RECOIL ROD EVEN COOLER THAN I THOUGHT
If Steven Universe wasn’t so overly forgiving.
Mega Man Zero hard mode speedruns in a nutshell
I can feel depression leaving my body
Hey, the Shield Boomerang IS terrible.
When I throw it, it's supposed to come back to me immediately, so what's with this "Killing shit casually while I try to avoid things" nonsense it's doing?
just found this channel and video, and I was instantly intrigued by the idea
Is Magnus about to grace us with his Mega Man Zero skills yet again? But in HARD (aka less moves) MODE?
Maybe, maybe not ;)
3:08 Zero: An iron pipe? You really think that's gonna work against me? I beat Sigma into a pile of scrap with an iron pipe, you're going against the master here!
*reads title* Ahaha, tell that to Orbit Shield, arguably low-key one of the most busted EX Skills in the game for bosses.
For sure
This is godlike, i can't even keep the shield moving around me without frying my brain in the process
It definitely works well, it's not useless by any means, but it's just impractical to use and requires much deeper knowledge and skill to use effectively. One still could say it sucks in comparison to every other weapon in Z1~3 comparatively if Hard Mode is not regarded.
The Bosses are trying to Kill zero while he's too busy playing Jump rope with his Shield
Obviously it was going to be in Zero 3, where it actually has good uses
Z1 says hello
@@MagnusZero thats what i get for writing before finishing the video
I always liked the Boomerang Shield, infact I was experimenting with it and doing the avoid Boomerang and kill things method. It's fun, kinda reminds me of Captain America's Shield in Ultimate Alliance 1.
You have to admit, Shield Boomerang got completely nerfed in Z4.
Does no damage, can't reflect enemy shots, no associated EX skills...
I've tried to use this trick a lot but I just plain suck at actually keeping it up for more than a second or two. As usual mad props you wizard.
Fact: Shield Boomerang sucks
Fact: You are really good at this game
Honestly I had no idea it could just keep going in circles like that
This gave me a much better idea of how to manipulate the shield loops, I'd always been curious. Thanks!
Might I say this is some of the best MMZ gameplay I have ever seen. Just bought to Switch Collection to go through these great games again.
