- Welcome to the Mega Man Zero 2: No Damage Remastered Run! This is a segmented remake of my late 2018 challenge run of the game, where I previously restricted myself to Active Form only. Removing that restriction, this redo aims to play more efficiently while speedrunning the stages more cleanly. Due to the nature of Zero 2's linear combat, it's not as flashy as the likes of the other three games, but hopefully you'll enjoy what I've managed to cook up with Zero's limited abilities regardless! I don't care what anybody says. That intro stage is fire for setting the mood of this sequel. And with Magnus behind the wheel making Zero more of a certified bad ass then he already is, coupled with stellar editing, this entire run is just a treat to watch.

At this point I am convinced that he was training in the childhood non-stop and even up to this point because this is peak
Imagine him playing a modern hack and slash like Devil May Cry or Bayonetta. The dude will tear through waves and waves of enemies with that much flair and no damage to him at all.

This run was SICK! This isn't just a stylish run but also educational, I legit never knew you could pull out the platforms to attack the walls in the forest levels or SKIP part of Fefnir's temple level. *Grabs Zero 2 GBA cartridge* Well time to get to work.

the rod tech and super efficient beatdowns of the regular enemies were an absolute treat to watch - well worth the wait!

Watching you play these games is an absolute joy.
I missed the stream, but boy am I glad that you already posted it! The enemy placement/timing knowledge with the perfectly timed Buster shots amazes me! Then after that spectacular intro, both sub-weapons really shined in awesome and creative ways! I learned a lot, and thank you Magnus for doing justice the seemingly “least technical Zero game” that’s one of my favorites!

Quick question, how are you able to use mega man soundtrack in your videos? Is it just because your playing something related to mega man?
I'm pretty sure copyright on video game music that isn't on music streaming platforms is less strictly enforced, cause I see people use it quite a bit.
Honestly, don’t think that’s the case. It’s megaman gameplay with footage from the actually game itself (with implemented ost), it’s fair use within copyright. I only say this because I know somebody who sampled a song from this game recently and they were hit with constant strikes every upload lol.
Capcom is super chill about fan stuff in general, so I doubt they care.

This just goes to show how heavy the Active Form restriction was in your original run. (Despite how much I still love watching that run).
Still I enjoyed watching the "Ultimate Disrespect Megaman Zero 2" 2.0. Where you disrespect the stages as well. (Seriously that thing you did with Fefnir at 29:12 made me do a spit take)

God zero 2 got such awesome presentation, i LOVE it even if it's not the coolest one combo wise
The ideas they came up with in Zero 2 got perfected and enhanced in Zero 3, that's why that game is like the perfect Mega Man game for me. The Mega Man formula peaked with Zero 3.

Insane run, and I thought the Active only run was crazy. If you remake your Z3 run, I actually think you should use the buster shot mostly because of Reflect Laser. Can't wait to see what's next.

The chain rod usage especially was extremely cool.
I didn't know you could access that one part of the Crystal Cave stage or get on the roof of the fire temple rooms in the International version. I thought it was just JP with the Rod Glitch.
The grinding was pretty noticable, especially for the Active/Power Form, but it didn't really mess with the run that much.
The way you protected Ciel in the Bombardment Aircraft Mission was also pretty uncommon.

Dude, this was insane! A lot of stuff I didn't know was possible that was pulled off in this run, like instantly killing those shield enemies in that aircraft stage! I'll def have to try some of these strats the next time I play this game!

Most level in Zero 2 are good, except Phoenix Magnion & Fire Temple, I hate those Levels because hitting the Cylinder Bombs into the Rubble was not fun.
Oh & the Beginning of the Airship Stage where you jump ship to ship is as bad as Wind Crowrang’s stage from X7
You might as well try achieve A Rank instead of S in those stages.

I noticed that you were doing a boss Ex Skill while Fefnir was doing his rising fire attack and you were standing in between the flame pillars. Does using that Ex Skill count as an invincibility frame?
