Drew Michael is a stand-up comedian who has long been a fixture in the New York stand-up scene. Drew has also released comedy albums (2013’s Lovely and 2016’s Funny to Death) along with a very funny Comedy Central half-hour. He spent the 2016-2017 season writing for SNL, and he appeared on an episode of The Carmichael Show. Drew also has two Netflix specials, Drew Michael (2018) and Red Blue Green (2021).

Great meditation to start the day. I think bottled water is great for those geographies that have heavy metals in the tap water due to local mineral assets- in some of those geographies the high alkaline content in the Tap-water has been demonstrated to cause birth defects in newborns. "The Futurist Movement" & "The dadaists" would have some amazing insights into the dialogue on current v. future zeitgeist. I am a firm believer in the creative/destructive creative process that Ryan advocates for and a firm believer that we should all "un-plug" from our devices and "recreate" or "re" "create" as the latin roots define themselves. An assault rifle is not "effectively a machine gun". I wish that people who are anti-gun would at least learn enough to know what they are talking about. There is a big difference between fully automatic and semi-automatic. Machine guns are fully automatic and are highly regulated (effectively illegal). That was not what was portrayed in this video and was not what the people asking him to put up a poster were raffling. For Ryan Holiday being so intelligent and preaching the works of the stoics it's disappointing; words and the picture those words paint matter. If you are going to be anti-gun, all good...but please know what you are talking about.
anti gun, pro gun ...isn't a thing. there's normal people, and gun nuts. and i wish gun nuts wouldn't go to such unwarranted crusading lengths essentially bragging about how much of a gun nut they are, missing forests for "fully/semi-automatic" trees. ppl only ever f'ing up society thinking they're only ever saving it. are. the. god. damn. worst. christians. liberals. name it. there's an infinitely bigger difference between people that give a shit about guns, and people that don't.
raffle is toxic positivity laced in ironic bs lacking any/all self-awareness*. was the point. standard "gun nut" modus operundi aside (burn), both ryan & drew elaborated this idea with numerous non-gun examples. this is where "words and the picture those words paint matter" can outright betray you. bc the picture they painted(/expressed) becomes clearer the more you realize the static/deadness of "words" really just gets in the way. map is not the territory. all description is metaphor. there is no spoon. etc etc etc - "blah blah blah" yeah, but ...this is usually the case; "context over content" is key - always.
