Haha, thanks. That hat is getting a bit old and tatty though. I tried to use the mic to get some audio for the video, but it was still picking up too much background hiss. I might have to look out for a more reliable one.
@@wildlifejames try adjusting the level on the camera. Sometimes that his comes from having your gain set too high on the camera and too low on the actual mic. Each camera has different components preamps etc. let’s link up and I can play around with it to see if I can’t get it working without that annoying hiss. 🐍
@@codylander Oddly, and counterintuitively, in NZ it was working better with the camera level higher and the mic lower. I'll try again though. With better weather again next week, we could try for another cnal trip. Maybe the cobras will be out
It's a nice trail. It's a bit far for the average morning walk, but I discovered it's slightly closer if I ride to the grassland at the top of the trail. Still 45-50min ride though.
I can't really tell from the video, but I'm guessing you took the long and winding path rather than the one that goes straight down? I also saw a snake crossing that trail once, and if memory serves it was probably the same species.
I actually took one that goes straight up and down. Didn't have time to do the Japanese trail. Both times that I've been were mornings before work lol. Cool that you saw one there too.
haha, you noticed. I wonder if anyone else knows that book haha. It suddenly came into my memory while I was making that part of the video while saying "over the bridge", so I added "through the woods, and between the rocks" haha
As much as I love seeing the snakes, that moon moth was pretty cool.
Those moon moths are epic. Moon moths are probably my favorite moth.
Always fascinated with your posts. Very educational! My fear of snakes has reduced thanks to you.
It's always great to hear feedback like this. Encouraging too. Good to hear you could soon meet a snake outside and be more curious than afraid.
That hat looks great on you! As always great video and audio mixing!

@@wildlifejames I’m down! Let’s try 👍🏼
Another great video. I LOVE the trail and wish I could walk it. Just beautiful. And some interesting creatures too.

so amazing could meet the beautiful snakes 😮
I so wanna photo the snakes, too
but I always seems so difficult to meet them ….😫
Yes, they are pretty amazing!
Great video. How many species of snakes have you seen in Taiwan? Every video you post seem to include something new.
Thanks :) I don't know. I have seen well over half. Probably around 40 species. I have been out trying to find and share as many as possible.
great
Thanks. It was cool to see. Nice trail too

Not up spook hill...
