“And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music” ~ Nietzsche
THANK YOU! May I ask what Nietzsche text that's from?
@@37Dionysosyou may ask😂
I've probably listened to 200+ hours of Terence lectures... But I have to say: he is an another level in this talk... An absolute firecracker!
Terrence at his best. There's a few of his later talks from the late 90s, that were just unreal. This is one of em...
I get the feeling that Terrance was one of the smartest people to ever walk the earth. He has so much knowledge and insight on just about every subject out there... What a great mind,,, and great teacher,,, he was...
Even though Terence McKenna died April 3, 2000 his thoughts are still viable today, what may have changed is our own minds and our ability to further process what he may have said.
“In the province of the mind, what one believes to be true is true or becomes true, within certain limits to be found experientially and experimentally. These limits are further beliefs to be transcended. In the mind, there are no limits... In the province of connected minds, what the network believes to be true, either is true or becomes true within certain limits to be found experientially and experimentally. These limits are further beliefs to be transcended. In the network's mind there are no limits.”
John C Lilly The Human Biocomputer 1974
A wise man , wiser than he's years for sure . A shaman in his own right , one of the best story tellers I've heard with an endless vocabulary & always so eloquently put across. RIP Terence your voice will be heard well into the future .

Yes in deed, his wider view, use of language, and references to James Joyce and Herman Melville’s Moby Dick had me reading both author’s works.
As Terence brother Denis has been quoted, ‘the bigger the bonfire the more darkness is revealed'.
Not to mention is off the charts vocabulary ❤
I also am very grateful for whoever realized that his speech needed to be recorded so everyone gets the teachings he gave us.
"Australia is a lot like Texas, it's big, it's empty... and they sure know how to barbeque!"
this man has ZERO fuxking limits
"How does one download a new operating system? Well first of all you have to clear some space on your disk. The best way to do this is probably with a pharmacological agent.
....
You think of some while I have a drink of water!"
I was expecting the usual wrap but he caught me by surprise there and I burst out laughing. Ahhh! Terence terence terence..
this is amazing. he just gets better and better. We need people like Mckenna more than ever!
I love that his lectures exists so accessibly. Thank you! ✨
I think this is one of his most important talks. I love the additions of the rain and frequency. Much love, Danit :)
Very Glad to hear @Four Eggs ❤️
Thank you ! it means a lot to me
My god he is really cooking in this lecture. He's always amazing, but this is Terence leveled up.
i wish so badly that TM was around to be on JRE. just imagine
Glad you enjoy TM. Pretty sure he does well enough speaking about his ideas without JR.
Sure there is a deep fake on here lol
His brother Dennis has been iirc, an equally well spoken but more grounded half of the mckennas. Worth checking out imo

Pffffffoo this is insanely on point in hindsight, soo much shivers
I've listened to a lot of Terrence. He really hit some bull's eyes in this one.
What Terence McKenna said in 1996 fits our time today, if anything regression may be more of a notice to our current dilemma.
“5:36 Do You Think You Are Repeating The Life Styles And Algorithms Of Your Parents And Grandparents...Or Do You Feel Like You'e stepped To The Front Of The Train Of Human Evolution”
I had left my parents and family at age 18 to begin my own novel. It was a sharp, well-defined, and clear separation; it began page one of my novel.
‘The Train Of Human Evolution’ is linear and limited to an analogy of a train and tracks. Quantum mechanics and the results of John Bell’s Theorem have changed expectation.
Thank you again for posting these talks by Terence McKenna 👍
It is amazing how much of his words fits our time. And I'm sure it will be like that for a long time
Sounds to me that one need to be pretty brave to leave his home at 18.
Thank you @artemis sidecross ❤️ for this comment and for your kind words

I was born in the mid 1940’s with what is now described as autism and did not speak until age three, and took three years to reach the second grade in middle school.
I had not developed the masks and thespian skills for school or being with groups of people. I was not treated well by family and siblings and left home.
By my mid 20’s my prefrontal cortex was fully developed and both reading and writing skills were ready to utilized. Also I learned thespian skills to be with others, if only for short periods of time.
By 1965 and 1966 I had an opportunity catch the wind to what was happening in San Francisco before its notoriety and soon to crash from a demise of expectation. "San Francisco (Be Sure to Wear Flowers in Your Hair)” Song by The Mamas & the Papas)".
Even so there were enough trails and insight abound from people like Terence McKenna and others to forge further trails to seek and explore.
Thank you for sharing this @artemis sidecross ❤️Sounds like you had a tuff life growing up, But also sounds like you have accomplished a lot since then.
I can share that my brother is autistic ❤️
@@DanitFriedman
Being autistic is to be part of a band but still a member of the tribe. ❤
Well he's right about how fast things are changing now, specially with pace AI developing now beyond expectation
as william burroughs once said, we will now see whats on the end of every fork~☆ nice quote near the end!
it is true that culture tries to clomp things together, but that is the nature of things, oneness, but you are right in that individuality is important for a functioning society, the diffrences is the streghnt, if everyone's uniqueness was unleached to it's potential it will create a cohesive society, and that is order in it's finest way, working togeher thru our uniqueness.
Terence Mc Kenna can also be listened to along with Eckhart Tolle and Alan Watts .On UA-cam - x

nice talk, thanks for sharing Danit:)
It's not often that I comment on videos, but I could not hold back this time. What you're doing for me is beyond words.
Thank you for these uploads. I hope you're happy, and well.
Thank you @Anuj Talwar ❤️ I appreciate your comment very much
How we will deal with Africa indeed! We, as a collective group, have heard the warnings before.
What kind of world would it be with everyone walking around thinking they are heroes in their minds
Earth
I'm the villain in your novel.

With all respect for this powerful mind, he mistakes that “the word was merged with flesh” and the result was human meets divinity in some way. To clarify the scripture reads “the word was MADE flesh”. Thinking this over one realizes that the word, the cosmic language model, might be understood at least on this planet as DNA, which is a language that creates the “proteins” that literally construct living creatures, including of course human beings. It implies the infamous intelligent design hypothesis of Creation. I find this compelling even though my belief in the supernatural has been sleeping for five decades or more. What now? Thanks as always Terrance.
Thank you (and no music!). Look into the history of the "digging stick" (among the very oldest human artifacts) with which anthropoid females dug up tasty roots and which they began to incise with symbols---perhaps at first just notch-numbers for days of a plant cycle, moon cycle and later in larger calendric patterns. The fruits of these measurements, noticing of patterns and understandings, must have given the stick a "magical" authority (which in fact lay with the female's experiential expertise) so that over time it became the "rod" or "scepter" of power itself...
This is really interesting, I'd like to know more. Are there any particular resources you'd recommend?
He is young in this
Have you considered using any of the newly available AI tools to improve the audio quality of these old recordings? There may be multiple but I know Adobe Podcast AI is one you could look into.
Thank you very much @Andrew Glenny for this ❤️ I was searching for a free way to do that. Will try is out
I love the old style recordings. It’s refreshing to hear things that aren’t overproduced and manicured. Love what you do! Thank you for the uploads ❤️
They have to create the stuff from the past to sound like it's from a different time or it would sound like when it was really made. On demand in current times. It creates the illusions of time which supports the illusion of existance. As well as the illusions clones I summon existed before I summoned them an stuff like that
I just realized that he died on 432000 😳😱🤯
Wtfff. I’ve been a fan of his for a long long time and I had never put that together. Holy shit
Huh
I am a big booty heroine in my story of hoeing for a living in Los Angeles. I got off my fat ass and got off benefits and started my own hoeing business. Now I am raking in the cash but I have noticed I am bit more cynical towards the homeless but hoeing can be a great roller coaster of emotions in any case

7:54 Judaism and Islam does NOT accept the thought or myth that "in the beginning was the word and the word was made flesh". Only Christianity does.
I'm not the hero of my novel, not even the villain because: i am the victim
hi, sounds like a difficult feeling.
I think we are the narrator, and a hell of non reliable one.
All feelings pass, if you allow them. Even the feeling of being victimized.
When we identify and hold onto those feelings for what feels like dear life, we become our own prisoner.
Don’t take it personally.
What kind hmmm let me see, It is the kind of bible that dad left verbal communications for that's what it is all to the 3rd and forth testaments 😂🥲😐🤐
