+certified 68 crazy Thank you for joining us. The weather is beautiful again today and I just sat outside with Andor for an hour, absorbing the vitamin D. :-)
Some great Autumn foliage Bruce. Similar to New England when we were there a few years ago. The buildings and communities there are beautiful . Thanks for taking us along
+Rusty “rustyglovebox” Glovebox Thanks Lloyd. We don't have as many maples as in New England and it was a bit late for them this year, but the coloration was particularly nice.
Stunningly beautiful Dr. Bruce!! What a beautiful countryside you have...you can keep the gas prices though. I wish you and Karin well today and always. Thank you for the tour, I loved it!
+larryz24 Thanks very much Larry. The gas prices are taxes, of course, but they do get used for keeping the roads in good repair and we pay them gladly. We don't have the distances to drive that are common in N. America.
+Emily Liechty I, too, am from Indiana. Thanks for your kind words. I remember driving through Brown County in the fall. I still have some slides from then.
Just beautiful colour and countryside scenery throughout, the buildings in the villages are truly spectacular. It is most noticeable to me how very few power or telephone poles or pylons in the countryside (nor wind generators) at least in this part of the countryside at least. The stone pillar where you turned around might well be a gatepost - they are quite common in many parts of the UK especially the more hilly or mountainous parts of the country which are mainly farmed with livestock. Loved the music and, I think, Karen gave us a very smooth drive as well.
+Dan Whiteford Thank you for your kind words, Dan. Power and communication lines must be subterranean here. There are few exceptions, mainly in extremely rural areas where only one building is serviced. We has plenty of wind turbines, but we try not to get them in the videos if possible. Karin is a good driver and does, in fact, most of the driving these days. I'm glad to have a chauffeur! :-)
+harryfaber Thank you. The Ninth Symphony had a very strong influence on my musical taste as a young person. It seemed to fit the lovely scenery quite well.
+The Shade Tree Fix-it Man Thanks kindly George. I gave lectures on Beethoven's 9th when I was at Purdue. The last movement is one of those monumental musical works that never die. It was just the right length for my video. :-)
Hi Bruce. Since watching your Coffee Video I have now purchased a hand operated roasted coffee bean grinder and also some green beans to have a go at roasting. My wife Jane thinks we can do it in our oven similiar to what we do with pumpkin seeds etc. In the UK we have noticed very few people grind their own Flour and even less people roast coffee beans. This means its very difficuilt to find roasters but I can buy greens beans via the Internet. What roasters are available are extremely expensive. Cheers from Mick
+MakeDoAndMend1 Steve at Hasbean has some of the best, freshly roasted coffee in the world, but you're right, it is not inexpensive. There are two serious problems with oven roasting, the chaff flies all over the place and burns and causes the second problem, hideous amounts of smoke. Stirring the beans is also a difficult problem and usually results in uneven roasts. If you try it be aware that coffee beans and chaff can burn and they ignite very suddenly without warning. You might want to join us at TooMuchCoffee.com. The archives are full of home-roasting tips. Good luck on
I have just watched your great video and it has inspired me to create a video myself when cycling however the last few days and today so far its been thick Fog. Hoping Thursday will be clear. Best wishes from Mick in the Foggy UK
+MakeDoAndMend1 Cycling videos are very nice because they move along at a less hurried pace. I'll be looking forward to your video if the weather makes it possible. Thanks for joining us, Mick.
+spanermantim The weather was very favourable for leaf colouration this year. We have had some cold nights, below freezing, little wind and no rain, so the leaves coloured nicely and have stayed on the trees. Thanks for riding along, Tim.
I expanded it to full screen and wow! just fantastic! it looks a lot like parts of the U.S. doesnt it. nice to see the open countryside. thanks for the video m'friend
+1963impala2dr Thank you Ken. When I lived in the States I would often drive down to Brown County, IN and it was very similar there. Glad you could ride along with us.
+MakeDoAndMend1 Yes, Mick, I watch all your videos. I sometimes have to watch them on my phone and I have trouble commenting with my shaky hands on the little virtual keyboard. I enjoyed the videos very much.
Was that the Playboy Mansion ya passed at 2:50? The one with the bunny bust on the sign? lol. Great drive Speedy. , Slowpoke Rodriguez beside ya didn't have much to say. Was the stone land marker at 8:17 Roman? Beautiful countryside. Thanks for the drive and God bless you all.
+EdOfTheNorth Playboy Mansion, yes, for certain! Ha It was an advertisement for a country fun fair to be held in the village of Bernsburg. Disappointingly, it will have little connection with Playboy attractions. :-) I am embarrassed to say I have not idea what that marker represents, but next weekend we will head back there and take a look at it. It is possible, however, that it is so old it will no longer be recognizable. In that case I'll ask around. Thanks for riding along, Ed.
Great video. Who's watching from 2020?

Very Beautiful! I love the buildings especially the one with the red ivy growing on the side! I guess it was some sort of ivy.
+John Wallace I'm not sure, it might be Russian wine. In any case it certainly is impressive. Thanks for riding along with us.

Hello from Indiana, Bruce! Thank you so much for sharing this video with us. It has lulled me into a peaceful and joyful state of mind.
+Emily Liechty I, too, am from Indiana. Thanks for your kind words. I remember driving through Brown County in the fall. I still have some slides from then.
Beautiful Germany
Thank you kindly.
Woooooow, thanks for the drive. It reminds me of 2017 autumn when l was in Germany for visitation. It is surely making me Germanysick. ..👍👍👍👍
I moved to Germany in 1965 and never looked back. We live in a lovely area, too. Thanks for watching and commenting.

A wonderful Ode, plenty there to make you joyful!
+harryfaber Thank you. The Ninth Symphony had a very strong influence on my musical taste as a young person. It seemed to fit the lovely scenery quite well.
I bought the Furtwengler recording when I was a teenager. Glorious music.
Beautiful! Sweet music to the ears and mind too.
+The Shade Tree Fix-it Man Thanks kindly George. I gave lectures on Beethoven's 9th when I was at Purdue. The last movement is one of those monumental musical works that never die. It was just the right length for my video. :-)
Beautiful
+tomswonderfulworld Thanks, Tom.
Very nice drive! We had a short color season this year in north central Ohio but the temps are back up this week mid 60s to low 70s.
+ceedell We had perfect conditions for coloration, frost at night, but no wind and no rain. Thanks for riding along with us, Wendell.

Lovely you seem to be a few weeks behind us as most of our trees have lost their leaves now.

Loved it Bruce. The red Ivy made that building look alive.
+txsviking Thanks. I hadn't seen that building since the ivy turned red so it was a surprise for me. Thanks for riding along with us.

Hi Bruce have you watched my Autumn Video on my other UA-cam channel . "Autumn Kayaking HD Part 1 of 2" you will need to search for it on UA-cam.
+MakeDoAndMend1 Yes, Mick, I watch all your videos. I sometimes have to watch them on my phone and I have trouble commenting with my shaky hands on the little virtual keyboard. I enjoyed the videos very much.
We did some serious leaf peeking with you, nice.
+cigarcaptain Thanks! It was particularly colorful this year.
the area where you turned around had a stone monument. Does it hold some historical significance that you are aware of. Looks cool out there Bruce
+cigarcaptain I am embarrassed to say I have no idea what it is, but I will make it an aim to head out there and find out. Thanks for watching.
