    Thank you for the great review. I recently purchased a Lenovo Flex 14. To make the display brighter just Roll Back the video driver. After completing the driver Roll Back, choose Update Driver. You should see a very noticeable change in brightness after completing the Updated driver.
    This is a Windows 10 specific glitch, not Lenovo Flex 14 specific glitch.:)

    Hands down the best review for this product I found (and I was looking and reading a lot).
    Just ordered the i5-10210U version with NVIDIA GeForce MX230 (2GB GDDR5) GPU and 20GB of RAM and 512SSD. It will cost me about 1050$ but I need the specs for work.
    There was a i5-10210U with Intel HD 620 GPU and 8GB of RAM and 512SSD for about 890$.
    I will write an update when I run the benchmarks and test.

      Lazar Lazarov Costco sells the 16gb 512, UHD 620, with 2 year warranty for $650. Do you think it worth it with the awful 45wh battery?

    • @lazarof94
      @lazarof94 4 роки тому

      @@EpicEternal2 It depends on the chip as well. Those laptops are with expandable ram storage (one 4gb on motherboard and 1 removable) and they can put a stick in even in the cheapest configuration which is probably 8GB(4+4) RAM and 620 UHD . So it depends on what you're gonna do with it and just 16gb is not a factor. About mine - mostly I use it as a work station and for couple of hours to present something and for me it works well and its worth the money for the things that is offering.

    I bought the Lenovo Flex 14 81SQ0000US 14" Convertible Laptop, Intel Core i5-8265U, 8GB Memory with 256GB HD on sale for $525 at Staples. I bought it for my daughter who is in college. This was never designed to be a gaming laptop which is why it will not work very well for that, it was designed for productivity, web surfing etc. Its very snappy for its size and price tag, very hard to beat for the price I paid IMO

    Costco on occasion has the Flex 14 or Flex 15 with either the i5 or i7 and either the mobile Radeon 530 I think OR the nVidia MX230. Right now they have Flex 15 with an i7-8565 & MX230 for $699 or last year's Flex 6 (Flex 14) with the i5-8250-u and MX130. My sister has the Flex 6 with the pen (also purchased from Costco), but I think hers has the M400 series Radeon. Best investment she made to her college education technology wise. I think the Flex is such an underrated laptop. Once my Yoga dies, I'll buy a special deal Flex from Costco again.

    I was always a Dell guy but after my last two dealings with them in sales and tech-support I no longer deal with them. I was in need of a small laptop, Dell sent a lower model then I ordered even tho I paid for the higher priced one. I was in need so went to Staples where they showed me Dell, HP and a 14in Lenovo at around $400 After working with their demo I decided it was the one. Well it is the best laptop I've owned and will buy another when needed. 14in, touch-screen, 16ram, 250 sshd and kicks.

      Hey there. The Intel version only comes with one fan. Look at 02:32. The place where the second fan should be is empty. It’s only for the Ryzen version, which gets two fans. Don’t worry it’s not broken. It’s just designed that way. Not the best laptop for gaming I have to say.

      Lol exactly my thoughts. Plus the reply with the update of the screen crack and returning of the machine does not make it any convincing.
      I too placed an order for this laptop recently and now waiting for it. Also ordered a Huion graphics tablet because I was not entirely sure of the screen and pen being capable enough. All the other comments coming from artists/animators are inactive lol.

      I can't speak for Lon, but people I knew referred to if as "jif" back in the latter half of the '90s. It's the way I've always said it because that's how it was told to me. It seems well established now that the inventor intended it to be pronounced that way. I think we are at a point where both pronunciations should be accepted. There are valid reasons for both. It also shows some of the silly parts of the English language, such as redundant sounds.

    I got this with the 10th gen Core i5 instead of the 8th gen one. It has all the bells and whistles possible, including the 512 GB SSD and it cost $679. This is, in no way, an entry level laptop. It is a very nice and quite powerful and solid laptop. Only complaint is the bottom bezel, but I've gotten used to it, although I never thought that I would ever possibly get used to it.

      hi dude. what's your opinion about this laptop after 2 years. are you still use it? I want to buy a second hand of this laptop. do you suggest?

    • @cidsx
      @cidsx Рік тому

      @@mohammadrezahomayoun48 I'm using this computer right now! But don't buy it. While I still use this computer daily, it is no longer my main laptop. If you NEED a laptop right now, get a cheaper, brand new laptop from HP because it will be better than this, and it'll allow you to get a better laptop in the future whenever your budget increases. Alternatively, do your best to save up a little more money and you'll get a computer that can last you many more years.
      Lenovo cut a lot of corners. The headphone jack broke and with some tinkering, I managed to get it to somewhat work but it's really loose. One of the two fans also broke because the bearing inside the fan was not good quality, resulting in the loudest, most annoying screeching sounds you will ever hear from a laptop fan. I ended up removing that fan from the laptop, meaning it only has one fan to cool the entire laptop because a replacement is impossible to find. The build quality is also pretty bad. The housing is somewhat cracked despite it spending a lot of its life on a desk during quarantine. I know other people with this laptop and they have the same issues. And the battery is painfully bad and will be even worse if you get it used.
      I actually use an M1 MacBook Air I bought a year ago which cost me $800 brand new, and you can get it for $600 used in the US. While Apple is usually overpriced, this laptop is the best value computer I've had. It is extremely fast and has absolutely none of the issues I listed above. In fact, I was able to do a Blender render 15 times faster on the MacBook than on here. The trackpad and build quality is amazing. And most noticeably, I don't charge my laptop for several days at a time because the battery is amazing. I still use my PC because it's still usable and it would be wasteful if I stopped using it.

The AMD variant has improved graphics performance, and I love how slim and portable it is plus the decent screen with the pen seems good for use during my classes. Sadly you didn't get the version with the MX230. Not a game changer but a bit better than an iGPU. Still any MX150 is far better.

    Could someone suggest how I can get around with displaying unto 3 monitors with this laptop. I am open to purchasing any docking station that can do the job. Right now I have tried several ones and it didn't work. Thanks for your help
