Any VAG since about time began TBH. Over 60 here and owned loads of Audi's, VW's. Worst for reliability was 85 Ur Quattro which was more a money chasm than pit. The most annoying part when owning the Quattro was the door handle triggers (VW part) were cast and would snap off. Constant, constant eye watering bills. Great when it worked but bank balance glad to see the back of it! Worst Audis for me were the B5s. The B7 was the end for me and I switched to Fords instead. Wife had Golfs with loads of stupid things going wrong with them ALL the time. Her last Golf (2019) started with the washer wipe pump packing up from 2 mths old and all sorts of electrical gremlins. The most reliable fast car I ever owned was Rover SD1 Vitesse. Would have another in a heartbeat if I could find a good one @@Hamisxa

In fact it was the 1.8T BAM engines that were known for being unreliable from the pre ‘06 era. Only thing seriously affecting 2L TSI’s is thermostat housing and water pump. 1L and 1.4L TSI engines sometimes suffer from oil separators leaking and the manuals suffer from leaky flywheel bolts due to not enough threadlock on the bolts. All the Japanese cars seriously suffer from far more expensive body work like paint and rust. Compare the price of a thermostat and water pump on a golf r (£1300 at main dealer) to the price of a full respray and full subframe replacement and under seal

A had a vw CC with the 3.6 engine, I was told a supercharger was the way to go with that engine purely for packaging reasons. All the plumbing takes up a lot of space apparently. I loved that car even with a stock engine. In the CC it isn't badged as an R36, it looks just like a diesal apart from the exhaust.
7:15. 276 hp as delivered. And to think overhere the base model had something just over 100 hp, and most were so equipped. Just imagine the face doing a traffic light drag race 😂
I have a 2000 plate honda hrv, i have removed the boring 1.6, and installed a k24 with a turbo, crv gearbox with lock up plates in the rear diff and a civic shuttle realtime viscous propshaft, oh and water/meth injection of course only weighs about 1000 kg

Best car I’ve owned. I recently found a 2013 mk2 TDI DSG 4x4 Twin-Hatch with only 28,500 miles on the clock, one owner and FSH. Untouched inside and out. Had the major service done straight away (cambelt, water pump, tensioners, DSG and Haldex) then straight to the mappers (The Tuner in Birmingham). It was 135bhp on first run. Got it on a stage 1 to 176bhp. But it goes like it’s got at least 230bhp. 0-60 is 6.9 seconds and it pulls like a war horse! (There’s a 0-60 clip on my channel). So good surprising people off the lights. It’s like a greyhound out the trap! Mine is tame compared to this one though. The Skoda Superb. All cars for all people.
the mk2 superb goes on for ever, ive got a 1.6 tdi thats been remapped to 150hp and has over 250k miles on and still almost got all orignal parts (apart from the obvious cambelt water pump and the lot)
great build , had 3 octavia vrs mk 1 , 1800 , mk2 2.0 and 2.0 tdi , about 3 year ago a bought a near new bmw 630 m grand turismo and ran for a year and sold back to bmw in that year when back 5 times with various problems , sold it back to bmw and bought a near new superb sportline plus 4x4 272 , wow leaves the bmw for dust , its a great sleeper car without even any mods , nearly bought the vw artion as same engine and love the look of the artion but at the time it had the older gear box my 2019 had the new box with made it quicker , i ran it for 2 year and only problem i ever had was glove box used to come open ( new one fitted under warranty ) all my octavias i took to jabba sport for stage 1 and wow made a big difference i think the octavia with stage 1 was similar to stock superb but what i hated in octavia was it always scrabbles for grip from the light and makes that awful banging noise of traction control , superb never looses grip even in the wet , would love to have taken the superb down jabba sport , thinking of either cupra ateca or formentor 310 ,
These are honestly the best sort of cars. Too many people are focused on making their cars look cool cosmetically vs a *REAL* sleeper where all the changes are all under the hood. Nürburgring sticker is a kind of a giveaway though 🤣🤣 If i see a car with that sticker. I know the owner isnt fucking around. 😂😂
Its fast on the straights, but in corners, its like a ferry. I own a Superb 280 and I'ts absolutely not a track toy, but still would be fun to watch a lap.

Im in Australia and have been thinking about an Octavia vRS or Superb 280 TSI and I keep hearing the Superb dosent handle well compared to the Octavia etc so can anyone fill me in are there some basic suspension mods to sort out the handling ie make it more of a corner carver than having a limo like ride and handling?
I'm jealous i miss a proper DSG gear shifter like that. I've got a 22 reg audi A3 black edition and its got the stupid little toggle shifter and i carnt use the paddles because i drive with hand controls and when you turn the wheel the paddles go with it
Crazy build, strange though that it doesn't have the steering wheel swapped for one with paddles, and the head unit hasn't been swapped for the later MIB2.5 (small upgrades that make a big difference). Different strokes for different folks

Imagine if that was road legal in Czech Republic. My country is an absolute pain with any kind of tuning. The only way would be paying more money than the cost of the build for all the tech inspection and vehicle approval and homologation for one single unit. And that costs even more than the fine they give you for driving this on the road.
@@aminalone Our technical inspection is really detailed and strict. First, you pass an emissions test that is measured independently without communicating with the ECU. Then they open the bonet and check if your vehicle has the correct parts from the factory, or legally approved spare parts with the correct specs. No parts which aren't from the manufacturer(or licensed spares of the same specs) are allowed, even if they are inspected and approved parts. The engine and car has to be 100% stock how it came out from production. Except brakes, exhaust(untouched cat), wheels and suspension. Then your suspension, lights and brakes get inspected for working order, manufacturer specs and legal specs. They also connect a scan tool to the ECU to check for electric system error codes.
And the only way to get past the inspection stuff with a modded car is making your own homologation for a vehicle(really expensive) Or just bribing the inspectors to let it slide(more often done with emission tests) which is a classic way of everything in this corrupted country.
To say Skoda is a sliper but not SEAT and Volkswagen, says a lot of unknowing those cars. AUDI is a bit different but very often they share also a lot.

Should make the calippers black, so they are not so "in the face". The rims arent even that bad I think, normal people who dont have alot to do with cars would think its smething special
