Great channel! I’m new to Avet and these type of reels. Don’t know how much different the reels are in the MXL lineup. Which would be the best do-it-all MXL reel for surf, pier, and jetty fishing here in the Texas Gulf? And what rod would I pair it with?
Do you adjust the avets drag or use them as is? Any chance of a video of adjusting the reels and using hollow core spectra for first time users?
Which raptor would you recommend for strictly pier/jetty fishing? Mxl or Lx? Plan on attaching to a 9ft steadfast mh/h blank. Strictly cast then set down and wait for the bite. Plan on casting 6-8oz spider weights plus bait. Also how would you spool the reel?
