Finally, a ethical person to cut the BARB off the ray, not the tail. I’ve caught so many rays with their tail gone, there’s no reason for it. Its unnecessary and inexcusable. I can’t find out weather or not the tail of the ray will actually grow back or not. I saw one article saying it does but, it takes years to do so.

Yes sir I would say both there's a ton of pups up close, mackerel and blue fish as well and all of them have teeth that as super sharp... So you still had some good catches when you came down bro ... we need to get a collab video shark fishing together..

When your mono (or braid) gets cut off, what do you do about it? Do you respool completely? Or, do you tie on and add line back? If you tie on and add replacement line back on, what knot do you use to tie mono to mono?
The hollow core we are able to splice back in and add it on and or splice in and add more new line we never have to throw away any new line that hasn't seen water because of this

Electrolyte salt tabs work well for cramps too. Marathon runners use them to avoid cramps. It would be a nice item to add to your med kit, just in case. I’m told the taste is…. less than pleasant, not sure where ranks among pickle juice. Lol

You gotta get yourself a drone to get those baits out there. Would be Soo much faster and easier. And you can fly baits a mile if you'd really like. How much weight do you use?
The weight would be the only limiting factor really. I have a phantom 3 standard which you can get a factory refurbished one for I think $350 bucks. They are gps so it will fly itself even if you put the controller down. Very very user friendly.
Our weights range from 1.25-3#. Not including bait. Idk of a drone that can fly the amount of weight we end up with as far as we want it.

I'm gear up to catch sharks from the beach too. I have a avet trx80w and aftco harness so for. I'm in the process of getting a rod to match power. most of the rods I see for sale are 5'6" to 6'. curious if that's what you use or do you go for a longer rod.
We like 7'6" is a great length same one that I have on my trx 130.. and same length I use for the 80s

I dont live on the coast, but I fish basically every tournament. So that's why you dont see me much. But we fish on my rack 99% of the time.

Weekend, we got 2 bulls and 3 blacktips off that bait. One of the rays had its tail eaten off for us. Those sharks are tough to be able to chomp on those. I got hit by one on the foot in the past and almost cried like a baby haha
Oh without a doubt great bait and yes sir can catch many off one... granted when your targeting larger shark sometimes they only want monster baits.... and other times smaller ones
