So rich and warm, like drinking Ethiopian coffee. The colour of the doublebass is such a beautiful, deep mahogany. I wish my skin is this dark rich mahogany.
He uses the D string also, not just the G string. In this piece its all in a higher register anyways, like what is he gonna do with those lower strings anyways cause they can't go up to the same notes as the G string, well at least not without sounding bad.
Playing a concerto on bass has its own set of difficulties. main problem is that there is no dynamic below loud. The only dynamics are loud, louder, and loudest.
