How are you supposed to choose a Playstation 5 over an Xbox Series X or even an Xbox Series S. this is how. If you are only intending on getting one, go through this exercise.

I'm on PC but also got a PS5 the other day!! PCs can play ALL xbox games via gamepass or you can buy a PC port from steam or EGS. Sony isn't porting all games so makes more sense to get a ps or switch. xbox is PC when it comes to games being available.
I am a recreational gamer. I prefer the Xbox because the controller feels a lot better in my hands. Also, I like that it comes with batteries. I stock up on batteries and never have to worry about my controller dying because it's an easy fix. The playstation you always have to keep an eye on it to keep it charged. Not a big deal but just something I never have to worry about. I'd like to play spiderman but I can't justify 650 dollars for the consoles and 2 games with no online and no continuous game play like you'd from over watch, COD, GTA, etc.
I got the PsS5 and the Xbox series S. I could have gotten the Series X instead, but I’m only using the Series S for games not on the PS5, and digital sales.

It's quite simple...if you mostly want to play cooperatively with friends, you purchase Xbox. If you rather play one player story experiences, purchase a PS5. If you just like CODs and Sports titles, purchase what your friends own.

Except that's not what you do. Not all games are on the PC version of Game Pass. The console version has some games that just aren't on PC. Also you can share saves between the two and you can cross play between the two. So really, if you have a PC go with an xbox, not a PS5. This is coming from a long time PS fanboy. I've kinda moved on since it doesn't mesh with my PC as well.
Wrong. Almost all ps5 games are available on pc. If you have a pc, get gamepass and buy the ps5 games on pc. Then just get a ps5 or xbox controller and enjoy all games without spending a yearly subscription at higher resolutions and with ray/path tracing. Honestly, buy both. Not right away. But like pick which games you want to play rn, say you want to get into Forza Motorsport , Starfield, and heard Halo Infinite is making in comeback. Get the Series S/X. Which one is up to your preference and use case. Then, after 2-3 years, when you have enjoyed the Xbox, get a PS5. By then they will have fallen in price and be much more abundant. Plus many more games would have released for PS5, giving you a good backlog to go through. Or idk, get a PC and move on 😂
I made a list of the top 10 games I really wanted to play and it wasn't even close. I had 7 of 10 of the games on PS5 the others are cross platform. I already had a Xbox years ago the one s but although they are pro customer, the options on PS5 are better when it comes to games

I Disagree about buying the series S over the series X. The X has 802gb that is useable while the S only has 365gb. That extra memory is a very nice thing to have cause the official SSD storage cards are very expensive $150 for 1tb. Plus with the series X its much more future proof for games 2-5+ years down the line. I have an older tv and i love my series X and games play great on it and when i do eventually get a new tv then im going to be even happier that i got a series X. I love Xbox's online services and their quality. Gamepass is just excellent with almost 400 games. Starfield and TCM are two games im waiting for and they are both on gamepass to start out at least. I know they are coming out with a 1tb series S on September 1st for $350 but i would save up the extra money and just get the series X. One purchase one upgrade and you are set for the next 5-7 years at least and you'll have a powerful system and the best versions of games for xbox.

Xbox officially died with the release of Xbox One way back in 2013 to the point where Microsoft is now investing in mobile studios to compensate for the losses.

I have a feeling that you dislike co-op play, for all of the Xbox titles you mentioned, except for Flight Simulator, offer co-op and/or multiplayer. There are many reasons to choose X over PS5 or vice-versa but performance isn’t really the one. Those extra 2 teraflops won’t affect your experience much in the long run at least with the cross platform titles.
