Now I understand what they're saying in this ending. So Mina's father want to arrange-marry her with Hwang so that Hwang can inherit his dojo, since women can't in Asian culture. Well, good thing Mina could sneak out of her home without noticed. Btw, this may sound crazy for people today, fans back then loved to pair Seung Mina either with Hwang or Siegfried. I'm swear it's true about SiegxMina, just look for the pre-Calibur fanarts and you'll see.
Not exactly relevant to the video but i always thought Namco should have done a Calibur Anime. The first film following the storyline of "Soul Calibur" , with Kilik, Maxi & Xiangha as the main characters. Sub-plot featuring Cassandra and Mitsarugi, with Seung Mina & Hong Sueng making a cameo for comic effect.
Oh, my god, I've been trying for ages to get the Soul Edge for Mina in the first game. It always sends me to someone difficult, though... ;_; Awesome, awesome video, by the way. I've only ever seen this ending once.
I have learned something to day.: You dodged my sudden attack. I reconise you as a adult. So if she didnt dodge she had died and was still a kid meaning its okey to swing suddenly swords at kids. Thank you Soul Blade for teaching me this lesson.
She doesn't want to get married until the whole Soul Edge thing is over, which was meant to be back in SCIV, so it would only make sense that she'd have married Hwang and have a son/daughter who kicks ass in SCV.
it's a common thing in games for all the characters to somehow, no matter where in the world they are or come from that they speak the same language. it's also common in fighting games to not even bother to localize the voice overs. look at street fighter. Ryu- Japanese, speaks Japanese. Guile- American, speaks english Ken- American speaks English E Honda- Japanese. Speaks Japanese. Chun Li - Chinese. Speaks Japanese.
I may be wrong, but I think the reason Mina and Hwang don't want to marry each other is because even though they're not related, they most probably view each other as family having known each other for so long, and Mina's father treating Hwang as though he was his son. Also, when I was a kid, I used to think that at 00:27 to 00:30 Mina was saying "Just enough, for both of us!" however, she's not. (She's saying something about her father - right?)
so in the Japanese version of the game the flaming skull head guy was named Soul Edge but in the rebranding game of Soul Edge which was called Soul blade in the US his name was Inferno how weird is that
It was years later I read that the UK version was severely cut. The censors at the time had a blanket ban on nunchucks across all media and I'm only now seeing the uncensored version of Li Long's weapon.
try to do them when the black bars comes out , just at the moment when Seung's father is gonna hit her. and you should not press left or right. instead m you should press down then up to make her dodge
Hwang Sung Kyung's Horiane Shueroe's and Seung Mina's Master and Her Dad needs to start His Debut in the 3rd Soul Calibur Game He can have that Moves Fighting Style Stance and 3rd Pre Fight Intro from one of His Good Students Horiane Shueroe and that 3rd Pre Fight intro from His Daughter Seung Mina it's time for Him to be Playable with His Own Story Seong Myeong is a Badass Teacher He needs to have those 2 Throws that Horiane Shueroe has in The 5th Soul Calibur Game His Own Throws when Approching The Enemie Left and Right Behind that 5th Victory Win Animation from His Student Horiane Shueroe has in 2 Soul Calibur Games to have His Own Victroy Win Animations His own What Lies In His Soul His own English Voice and Japaness Voice with more Quotes with a Taunt like The Other Warriors has already also His own Destined Battle Story and Ending!
pause at 1:47 when the guy says about the engagement between Hwang and Sueng but then adopting Hwang as his son, just before he said that, Sueng says Father a few times... Hmmm. Lol
Seung Mina should be spell Seung Mina while Hwang Sung Kyung being spelled as Hwang Sung Kyung along with The Name Horiane Shueroe being suitable instead of Hong Yunsung or Hong Yun-Seong including Seong Myeong rather than being Han nor Sung Myeong
Nope. She's Korean, but language limitations make east Asian characters speak Japanese instead of their native tongues. This ain't Tekken set in the 1580's.
maaan so many memories, when i had 11 years old i used to play this game day and night and i looooved seung mina hahaha XD...thanks 4 posting this!
Again, PSX is short for PlayStation EXperimental. This acronym was used by old game mags.

I still use seong ming even on SC3 and soon SC4 when I get it or not She one of my favourite the most!!!!!!!!! ^-^

His dick game didn't do it for her....
I love these character stories and endings (and alternate endings)!!! Why couldn't SCIV and SCV have these?? :(

Seung Mina was awesome! She had some brilliant moves! But Mina, why wouldn't you want to marry Hwang??
1:38
oh yeah this brings back so much memories. back in time when this game was the shit.
Mina has such a cute voice ^.^

PurushaDesa wow
His name has always been Soul Edge in ALL version of Soul Edge/Soul Blade. He's only named Inferno in the game after, Soulcalibur.
Censoring is getting old
@threat645 Wikis can be edited by anyone, and are sometimes be wrong. I doubt Hwang is dead.
Hell, *I'd* marry Hwang in a heartbeat :D
That last combo was kick ass.
@threat645 i saw hwang in soul calibur 1,2, and 3. How can he possibly be dead?
0:23 Seung Mina: Oh I won, time to magically go back to my stance!
IDK about ya'll, but don't this ending jus' wanna make u cry?
Love it - she's my favorite character and Soul Blade is what started my video game addiction. Do you know if Mina will be in SoulCalibur 4???
HAWNG IS DEAD.- Soul calibur wiki -
He died trying to protect mina : (
wait, this is now canon !?
FUck!
No he isn't Dead and neither is Li Long nor Sophitia Archuleta
i dont remember this ending at all. and i use to play this ALL the time...
True, man. Very true.
ps1???
To hell with that, I'd marry Hwang any day
the guide says to hold x and press left or right, but i dont know when to press them because everytime i tried i fail and get the bad ending
try to do them when the black bars comes out , just at the moment when Seung's father is gonna hit her.

@@blakenapier3125 yes but idk what u mean
I never could get the timing right to get this ending... (I mean-avoiding the attack)

Hmmm. Lol
It just means he will use the family name, basicaly marrying into the family and for the dojo to stay under that name.
Seung Mina should be spell Seung Mina while Hwang Sung Kyung being spelled as Hwang Sung Kyung along with The Name Horiane Shueroe being suitable instead of Hong Yunsung or Hong Yun-Seong including Seong Myeong rather than being Han nor Sung Myeong
because she's too young on that time, & she wants to learn more discipline than to settle down!
back when mina was cute...
Um...yeah she's an uggo now...😏
@@jonathanwashington6083 Soul Calibur 6 (Soul Calibur 7) is in The Wrong Timeline and Consoles
LoL, if she hadn't dodged it, what would he do?
@katieorr123 She is Korean, actually
After mending her wounds/gluing her arm back.
It's not too late for Him to Inner His Master's Dojo
if i remember it right, you just had to push three buttons at once to do this thing, pretty simple ;-)
which 3 buttons?
They need to remove Gues Characters Customize Character Creation D.L.C & those Introduced you know
IIRC you just do the button combo continuously right around then :P
Seung Mina is Hwang's fiance? But I thought they were brothers! wow... o_o
They are NOT siblings! Seung Mi-na is the daughter of the Seung family, while Hwang is, duh, the heir of the Hwang family (Hwang Sung Kyung).
People are Wrong about Hwang Sung Kyung being Dead and he isn't at all on The Original Timeline
In case you didn't know most video games come from japan, so of course they'll speak in japanese. duh!
check the bad ending :)
yeah Mina is from Korea, not China
Dammit why isn't mina in sc5 :0
Too old. And the Koreans probably have won, so it's probably time for them to go home.
argh tell me about it
Ryu can speak perfect English.
Haha, she hasn't aged a bit :P
Seung Mina is Korean...not Chinese, but that's besides the point, it's a Japanese game lol.
force her to study and train
I'm curious: why are people obviously from china speaking in japanese ;)
rofl he was in 1
didnt kno hell was pink lol

You mean when she was 16? XD JK
Well he best sedign was SC hands down, and she was 19 then. then came SCII and they stopped making her cute and changed her story and made her lamer
