That’s the biggest issue I have with the new one, and the budget has nothing to do with it. While the gameplay is flawless to say the very least, there’s seriously not enough to do, it lacks content, and the roster is pathetic compared to SC3’s. This means the replay value is a lot lower. And edit 2024, this is still a masterpiece of a fighting game. There’s just so much content, I LOVE IT!!!
@@maxilin3729 like, there’s not enough modes in SC6. Overall, I give praise to some of the roster (including their movesets, and how they look), the atmosphere, the spirit, the art direction, the music, and MAJOR props to the gameplay. It does a good job *feeling* like Soul Calibur, and gives out those Soul Calibur vibes. I’d rate it maybe a B+ However, there’s a couple things I personally believe make it inferior to SC2 or SC3; SC2 and SC3 each had a massive array of things to do, there were lots of different modes to play, and they just overall had more depth; and that’s my main issue with the new one, there’s simply not enough modes or content if you will (which equates to having a lower replay value. If SC6 had more content, I’d be playing it a lot more often). I also like the stages in SC3 a lot more, there’s 25 of them, and I think it has the best stages in the series in quality and quantity. And finally, SC3 has no DLC but nearly TWICE the amount of characters. DLC should be used to *expand* a “finished game”, not finish an unfinished one (or in SC6’s case, I wouldn’t say it was “unfinished”, but more so... “thin”). I’ve thoroughly enjoyed SC6, I really do like it, but you can just tell more heart and effort was put into this game, and it’s just simply superior.
SC3 Siegfried is still my favorite version of him. Scarred, brutal, and desperate to find himself again. Also, Setsuka's SC3 design is still my favorite

I don't think modern Soulcalibur is bad and I quite enjoy 6 especially now since they brought back Setsuka who was an SC3 original character. This game would be the best thing to happen today because its tapping into less anime inspired looked and back to the classic Soulcalibur I grew up with.
@Ålin Sixten Unfortunate that I only played vanilla SC3. But I agree. 4 despite it lacking in some offline modes was good in terms of combat. I'd say the only downside to 4 was the slow movement which led to some fights being a bit too back and forth. They did improve the characters move sets and combos though some changes did require getting used to or buttons reconfigured.
@Ålin Sixten Almost wish I could play 4 again on my PS3 with someone if they were up for it. So long as no hackers or glitch lag fests were happening. After the game died down those people ruined whatever was left as usually to kill off remaining player bases.
@Ålin Sixten That's interesting thing to note. I did figure the AI in SC6 to be below SC3's AI granted Inferno and Groh remain annoying. I did also find an exploit on Night Terror in SC3 however I'm not sure if it can be done on Arcade. He always wiffs while rising B and tends to repeat that move if forced to crouch often with the except of when the AI decides not to use it. Random notes aside I might as well revisit the games to experiment. Also if you have PC I'd be up for any matches or training. Currently trying to pick up Setsuka again.

There's a lot of parallels between this and Tekken 5's intro. Long intro which showcases the a lot of the cast, lone hero shown struggling with his dark side, cool new Black character witnessing current events, cutscenes which follow up events from the previous game.
SC3 was the blueprint for success, and ever since it, there had been less and less and less. The create-a-soul story mode was so fun. My favorite incarnation of Nightmare/Soul Edge.

I'd say a large part is due to how much content there is and the focus on the single player. Most fighting games center around the competitive side of everything, but Soul Calibur had a ton of replay value and things to do outside of the fighting. It was really casual, in the best way possible
My boy Nighmare wipes out an army and is ready to go for another round against Azazel.
This looks so good, this could be just Soul Calibur VII!
I am so glad this is only on PlayStation 2 exclusive soul caliber 3
Legend has it my soul still burns!
This looks great.
Never cease to amaze me how smoothly they can make Raphael handle his rapier in this intro
Since I was a kid, watching Mitsurugi coming at Setsuka drawing his blade, was the most bad ass thing to see. Even today, I still love that sequence.
This is still the best game in the series, TBH. For me, anyway.
for me too. also the best soundtracks!
Such good memories from this game!
Man so many good memories of this game growing up. Imma go play it right now lol.
That final shot with the eye glow still gives me chills. I love this series. Wish the AI in 3 was consistent tho.
Great work! Really appreciate it.
Nightmare is so badass in this intro. Dude just casually defeated an entire army
This is brilliant, great upgrade 👌👌
Oh, the sweet sweet memories.
Miss that elegance and quality the Soul series had... even though this one doesn't have the best gameplay mechanics it was really fun !
This video is taking me all the way back to my childhood. I owned Soul Calibur III on Playstation 2 I really adored that game 😍
PS, PS2 always the best consoles for the fans of fighting games. so many of them are superbly hyped and great replayabilty
SC3 was peak soul calibur imo.
Great work dude.
Best SoulCal intro ^^
There's a lot of parallels between this and Tekken 5's intro. Long intro which showcases the a lot of the cast, lone hero shown struggling with his dark side, cool new Black character witnessing current events, cutscenes which follow up events from the previous game.
Always and forever incredible.
Best trailer ever for soul calibur
SC3 was the blueprint for success, and ever since it, there had been less and less and less. The create-a-soul story mode was so fun. My favorite incarnation of Nightmare/Soul Edge.
Soul Calibur 3 is and always will be better than the other Soul Calibur but competitive gamers aren't ready for this conversation
The best character creation of the whole series.
This needs to be an official remake. It looks awesome
Best intro ever made.
This brings back sooo many memories🥰
Taki”oh shit” look when voldo dodge.
The legend well never die
Tira’s scenes are underated!!!
1:58 most Chinese Kilik & Xianghau have ever looked, and it was only for the pre-rendered opening.
I love the last part of the end. Where nightmare looks at the screen and his eye shine.
Seriously appreciate the work you're doing on this channel. It's awesome seeing these openings preserved and revived in such high quality. Please consider doing Final Fantasy X. lol
They need to make an annimated 3d movie with this as story Origin.
