Thats the thing about Tsunade that people ignore. Her main role was a medic, she would support her teammates/village, and fight on the frontline only if necesary.
Sakura represents the original message of Naruto. She worked hard and became incredibly powerful on her own. She should be as regarded as rocklee and Gai in this regard.

People are ignoring the fact that no matter how much weaker Sakura was compared to the enemy she always put up a fight. She fought against the sound shinobi, ino, madara, kaguya, shin.. no matter what she always did her best to protect her teammates or help them achieve the goal she never completely relied on the three geniuses with god like powers
By the end of the day, it's not really about how weak or strong she is. I think if sakura's actions can be more rational rather than emotional as well as being a bit less annoying (come on, she can become annoying sometimes and i'm not even talking about her gags of punching naruto) maybe people would tolerate her more. Since she's a main character, she took a lot of screentime but sometimes just did these things which kinda made you wish it didn't happen. I'm talking about her false confession on naruto, her putting her peers to sleep when they were trying to help her get to sasuke, etc etc. kishimoto's bad writing also affects her badly like sometimes random things happening like how she can't destroy obito's rinnegan or just crying helplessly screaming for naruto during pain arc when everyone was trying their best to survive (i knew that kishi was trying to show how dire the situation is, but considering konohamaru killed a pain and no one else was really giving into despair, it just kinda made sakura look really weak which is probably also why the sakura summoning naruto meme got more popular. kishi could've made other more insignificant ninja like moegi or iruka to do that but nope, he just had to put it on sakura which was supposed to be one of the more competent ninja), even in the final battle of naruto vs sasuke kishi still made her emotional and helpless as if her character never grew and just cried helplessly, like sasuke tried to kill her in their last meeting twice and there's just no development from her like doubting sasuke or hating sasuke, she's still simping for him unconditionally. She has her moments but kishi just made her worse than she already was.

Then in the final moments Sakura is on the ground battered and beaten pain is giving one of his speeches telling her to give into dispair. And she while still bleeding out barely keeping her eyes open, her beyakuga seal used up, clearly out of options she declares, "I will never give up. I am Sakura Haruno, disciple of lady Tsunade of the legendary sanin and the 5th hokage. *Forcing herself to stand up* so long as I draw breath there is always hope. Naruto taught me that. Naruto showed me that. (Insert the swing flashback) all those years he was outcast by the village and I was so mean to him. (Flash back to the scene you all know the one along with others) and yet he never held ill intent towards me. (all the flash backs where Naruto went out of his way to show kindness to her immediately after she was being a bitch) Naruto wouldn't give into dispair and neither will I. I carry the will of fire and if you want to snuff it out you'll have to kill me." Pain goes in for the kill then Naruto shows up.

Sakura went to Naruto to confess in an attempt to stop him from chasing Sasuke because she thought she was putting a burden on him. She was lying to herself and Naruto just so she wouldn't be a burden to him. What led to her believe this was the things Sai said to her. While Naruto was still optimistic about Sakura, seeing Sasuke going down a darker and darker path was really hurting Sakura, she loved him so much that she felt that she had to save him from that and she thought she should be the one to kill him. Which is why she put the others to sleep. She didn't think she would survive that she knew she would probably die fighting at the hands of Sasuke but she was fine with that risk. She just didn't want to risk other's lives as well. Sakura yelling Naruto's name in Pain arc was there to be a cool entrance for Naruto but somehow everyone uses it to hate on Sakura just like they do with anything else. One morning randomly out of nowhere Sakura witnessed all of her village get flattened by some godlike entity. Her master and Hokage was in a coma trying to save people, Kakashi had died, Sasuke was long gone and Naruto was nowhere to be seen. She was running from patient to patient trying to save everyone she can as a 17 year old she was leading the medical ninjas as others were bringing in more and more people. I don't know how you can expect her to not cry and reach a boiling point after doing everything she could. If Naruto didn't show up Pain would probably just take breaks destroying all of Konoha. Who else can she cry for? Is it really Sakura's fault for being the only one who reacts to this situation in a way that actually makes sense? You are saying that everyone else was trying to survive but Sakura was the one saving and healing them. Sakura's love for Sasuke is not just simping. Sakura was always gentle with them and saved them even if it's a small thing like jumping under him as he fell. Sakura felt really lonely in Konoha because she didn't really have nice parents, was bullied in school and her ex best friend never saw her as an equal. Sasuke was one of the first people that understood her and didn't bully her, complimented her and was nice to her. @@antiisolation4 he was going to blow up the village anyway for 2 reasons: his perceived retribution for Amegakure, and because he noticed how basically the entire Leaf figured out his abilities, which is extremely bad for him since the secrecy of the six Pains was a major factor in all of his victories up to that point.
Sakura haters either ignore her feats or just downplay them. They will not just downplay her feats but also the opponents she fought. I have heard people calling Shin fodder for whatever reason. I have seen people calling Kido Tsumiki with ninetails cloak weaker than one tails cloak Naruto. People are calling Sasuke a simp in the Sasuke Retsuden Novel just because he showed his affection for Sakura. my main problem with sasusaku is that there are very tiny things that show sasuke also liked sakura a lot when they were genins but never confronted those feelings or acted on it because he thought that kind of thing was a weakness.. but they are very tiny details. sakura's whole story is hidden in details that was never really explained or actually shown so they are so easy to miss. I am fine with everything if they just made sakura fight after meeting chakra deprived sasuke on the bridge surely she would be able to put on a fight against a tired sasuke.. them fighting a little and sakura doing talk no jutsu would be nice to see and after that sasuke would have to dip cuz of the others catching up. please if naruto ever gets remade give us something.. anything... I agree here!!! There are many small scenes that are heartwarming and make me feel Sasuke did have feelings for Sakura but was not ready to acknowledge them. Overall... I have a very soft spot for SS, yet I do understand the criticism. And I agree that's a little bit of a stretch considering the things Sasuke has put her through. As for me, I'd like SS to be rewritten. Nick said in a video about rewriting Sakura that she should have really fought Sasuke on that bridge. And that is absolutely true. I hate how Kishimoto took away that opportunity from her - to both develop as a character and show her relationship with Sasuke more dramatic, let's say? Also talk no jutsu that you mentioned... I need that. I can understand why she does not hate him after all those years. Sasuke was a mentally unstable teen who has gone through a severe trauma and nothing will change my opinion here I'm afraid. Sakura is a healer & she creates mental health clinics for children - therefore I assume she understands the importance of mental stability itself and the fact that growing up does not mean you'll recover from what has hurt you in past. People are being chased by their own demons through their whole life and so is Sasuke. To me, it'd be weird if he hadn't gone crazy or at least hadn't had some real bad neurosis... However; what I said above about clinics... it referrs to the time when Sakura is an adult. On that bridge she is still a teen - I feel that after the situation on the bridge she should have had more doubts about own feelings. She forgives too many things and too soon. She is too young to understand the impact that trauma had on Sasuke. The understanding should have come gradually with the time passing. I'd rather to see her a bit anxious of Sasuke during the war, much less trusting, and maybe even angry. You can love someone and still feel you cannot fully trust them (which is probably a red flag! but no one said relationships in Naruto need to be all in green ones...). When loving a person, usually all the emotions we have towards them are stronger. Including anger. Immediate change in Sasuke after the fight with Naruto was also too rapid to me, hah. Sure, the curse of hatred could be gone etc... But it still does not fix Sasuke's mental health. At least to me that solution was a bit lazy. But even if curse of hatred was the only reason he acted the way he did... and he changed... and he wanted to fix things... then I think he should have been the one trying to fix his terms with Sakura after realising how poorly he treated her. I'd like to know some more about their journeys, talks, and see her slowly accepting him and recovering own feelings towards him. This way SS would be a much more mature and less foggy relationship. Sasuke should not have this big head start & in fact his relationship with Sakura needs much more work than with anyone else if wanting to repair the damage he's done. They should have given her a handful of filler episodes of her time training with Tsunade. In boruto she says that she broke her arm during training it was so intense, wish we got to *see* that
If they remade naruto thats one of the biggest changes i could recommend, people wrongfully hate on sakura but kishimoto doesnt help by constantly forgetting about a whole main character and just throwing sakura into scenes as an afterthought
I wouldn't say Hiruzen is a bad person by any means. The original series goes out of its way to show how good natured he is. But his story in Shippuden in all honesty, is showing how being kind, strong and merciful isn't enough to succeed as a ruler if theirs corruption or infighting under your rule, setting up for Sasuke's later ideal that the rule needed to be ruled by overwhelming power and fear after seeing the example of kindness fail and lead into his Clan's destruction.
All things people acuse Hiruzen of are either because he didnt do enough and isnt a minding controling god. He never stired problem with anyone and always pushed for peace and giving people a chance.
Hiruzen gets a lot of flack (at least from me) for the Naruto thing. Cause that's exceptionally gross. The Uchiha thing I lay more at Itachi's feet cause...anyway. But it's occured to me that hiruzen is the original rose quartz/pink diamond.
I don't think Hiruzen is a good man. Why did he leave poor Naruto, a baby, basically fend off for himself? Why couldn't he adopt Naruto and raise him in his house with his wife and children/grandchildren like he promised Minato and Kushina? We see Naruto basically growing on instant ramen or catching wild fish to survive. How can you say that a man that promised to protect the village, promised the parents he would take care of their child and has power to squash whoever goes against him is good when he leaves a baby, and not only a baby, but the jinchuriki (basically their ultimate weapon to defend then against other villages tailed beasts) abandoned? He might be a peaceful, harmonious, calm and tranquil ruler and ninja, but he is not a good man. Not only that but he was so very lucky Naruto strived to be good and lovable or he would have a Gaara 2.0 and maybe a new rampage with Naruto letting Kurama control him and destroy the village.

The man quite literally committed treason, joined a terrorist organization, attempted kidnapping, tried to assassinate multiple world leaders and tried to cripple and/or kill the hero of the Ninja War. That goes beyond "few bad choices". Realistically, Sasuke should at best be imprisoned and at worst executed. And no, fighting Madara and then Kaguya does not exonerate Sasuke from fault, because the motives behind doing so were entirely self-serving. Even if they weren't, that doesn't negate what he did, that never how it works, nor should it ever be.
My biggest issue with the ending of the war arc was that the coming of the Otsutsukis wasn't foreshadowed at all. If Kaguya was foreshadowed from relatively early on, it would have been fine.
Really appreciate how much sensitivity you've shown for the characters baring much disdain that they do not entirely have control of. A balanced point of view is great for opening conversations that usually flew by the head, worth the sub 🍻
Just an inconsistency I find odd, when we talk about Sasuke's communication with Sakura we bring up all the bad moments, but we've never done the same with Gaara or Neji when they're at their lowest. If you asked someone if their worst interactions with other characters defined those relationships they'd vehemently disagree. I think people overthink how angry Sasuke was towards people in part one and when he insulted Sakura it sticks, but when you actually watch interactions with, he treats her pretty normal? He takes her ideas seriously and communicates like any normal person would and the worse things he said to her was in regards to what she said about Naruto and shutting her down when she tried to be intimate with him, both of which were actually very reasonable responses (and I say that as a Sakura fan and SS shipper) People seem to over exaggerate how "toxic" the relationship is, but go back and watch part one and when he responds to her it's not nearly as bad as we think it is.
It makes it easier knowing Kishimoto couldn't write women for shit. He admitted that and said how Sakura wasn't as cute as he'd wanted her to be. She was one of the smartest kids from her grade at the Academy, right behind Shikamaru. If she hadn't become a medic, she would've made for a great strategist had Kishimoto done better with her writing.
As somebody who plays MMORPGs on a regular basis truth is healers always are called the weakest and useless because they don't do much DPS but in reality the team wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for the healers
I have to say, now I finally understand why Hiruzen did not take Naruto in. I always knew he was very close to Orochimaru, but did not know he was Hiruzen's adopted child. So going on that Orochimaru went rogue and that Naruto, at that time in the story, was seen as the evil Nine tails. It makes sense for him wanting to keep his distance in case Naruto follows the same path as Orochimaru and will feel it was his fault.

The issue is, she didn't come into her own until pretty late in the series. Through all of OG Naruto, and a big chunk of Shippuden, she was pretty useless -- when compared to her teammates.

She caught up to and passed every single one and by the eos she is a top 15 Ninja in the world, Kage’s included. She has the most impressive come up in the whole series.
Types of Sakura haters: 1. The ones that judge her by her first part version - completely ignoring how she changed as a person and how she worked her ass out for every single bit of her power. 2. The ones that judge her by whom she defeated - completely ignoring that her main task is to keep people alive, and even then ignoring the characters she actually defeated. 3. We just have to survive until then" all of the people doubt him because "you mean the demon fox kid?! We're doomed" then have her get visibly angry before she has time to yell at the rando neji or Hinata or Frankly everyone from Lee to the ramin guy stand up agreeing that Naruto wouldn't give up, didn't give up, so we can't either. Sakura declares she's going to go hold off pain everyone needs to retreat and help everyone she can. Lee insists on going with her. With pain we see konohamaru defeated a pain only for 3 more to show up and undo it and proceed to get beat within an inch of his life until Sakura shows up and hands him off to lee. Declaring "I'm going to fight pain alone. I might not be able to defeat him but I can hold him off until everyone is safe and Naruto gets here." Lee gives her some food pills before leaving. Insert epic fight between Sakura and 4 pains and her barely keeping up. Pulling out all the stops. Eventually a 5th shows up and she starts having to get tricky using her hax and what not. I feel like the biggest problem with Sakura writing wise was that a love story was written at the core of her character to some extent by a guy who admitted outright that he's not very good at romance. I think her character would've turned out better if her focus was less on Sasuke in particular and more so a story of an average person in that world achieving greatness by following the examples of those around her. Edit: I'm not saying she couldn't have gotten with Sasuke later but I feel like that probably would've been better if they had period where they had to learn to trust him again.
What? The whole reason she trains under Tsunade is to pull her own weight on team 7 and be able to save her comrades lives. Honestly come part 2. She does not talk much about Saskue. Her being in love with Saskue has little to nothing do with why she asks Tsunade to train her.

She literally has monologues saying how weak she is and how great Lee sasuke Naruto ino tsunade and others are and how she wanna be strong as them. She didn't get her ass rekt by tsunade for nothing 💀 she trained as doctor and combat nin ,how hard that must be. Even after war ,in a canon novel, she's still sad that she's nowhere close to her demigod teammates in their peak forms. She still wants to be as good as them. She's not at all sasuke centered, she has goals and dreams. She's the only female character who proved that a girl can be soo much in love and still have a personality apart from it.
I have heard hatred about sakura too before seeing naruto.. But when i watch many episodes. I get that she was dislikable in many things but she was strong and also sasuke and sakura felt kinda of chemistry too..
the thing in the Naruto fandom that I hate is how unnecessarily OP Naruto ended up being by the end of the series and how no one seems to care. I know a lot of people are going to say "well he's the main character, so obviously he's going to be the strongest" that's not always the case, but even if it was there is no reason why he had to be the strongest by THIS MUCH. except for Sasuke, all the friends he grew up with are essentially nullified in his presence. they could all just retire and the village would be just as safe.
Not to mention the political implications of having basically two gods on your village, how threatened the other villages must feel and how fear could bring chaos could be an interesting dilema. But alas, Kishimoto doesn't know what politics are, I would even be surprised if he knows the difference between feudalism and capitalism at all.
The moment Sakura and Ino joined the medical corp they stopped being "useless" in my eyes. They have an entire field of knowledge and expertise under their belts other than just fighting. But apparently in a Shonen Manga, the more you brawl the more useful you seem to readers.
I thought Sakura largely redeemed herself in Shippuden but when she had the chance to destroy the rinnegan before madara could take it but she just completely froze and didn't do it brought her down a lot. But, it's honestly Kishimoto's fault for not writing a better plot reason why madara succeeds in getting both rinnegan.
There is another UA-camr, @DygoKnight, that is doing a pretty cool series on rewriting Naruto to address some of the plot holes and character development skips throughout the story. In particular, he does a great job highlighting Sakura’s strengths and her growth to bring her more in line with her power demonstrated in the light novels
DygoKnight is sadly a little bit underrated. Sure he isn't the perfect commentator channel on Naruto, but he is a pretty decent one. And yeah, Sakura was did dirty. A common saying in Naruto communities that Kishimoto doesn't know how to write women
@@gergokiss5038 I feel this saying is incredibly overexagerated there's nothing wrong with tsunade, mai, narutos mom , granny chio, tamari , ino , the female characters weren't the only ones who got done dirty Lee, choji , neji , hinata and her team , all of them were done dirty it wasn't just female characters the problem with kish wasn't his female characters considering 99% of the complaints are just people hating Sakura who isn't the only female character , his problem was sidelining everyone who wasn't named Naruto and sasuke.
Its more of a theory than a opinion but when Hiruzen was called the strongest shinobi ever early on in the show, it might be because he was ORIGINALLY supposed to be the strongest until Kishimoto decided to change it. Kind of how a lot of the in lore opinions sometimes dont make sense is because the writers AFTER writing those statements decided to change it, in Hiruzens case that would be to make him weaker or to make Hashirama stronger than he was originaly supposed to be.
Ooooh crazy what if, what if Danzo instead of spreading the fact that Naruto was the Kurama jinchuriki took Naruto and raised him himself as a root member and trained him to master Kurama?

I've watched and read stories that'd be considered taboo or bad, but enjoyed them. Really, it always comes around to personal views. For instance, after reading Naruto to the 50th volume, I've changed my opinions on a lot of it.
Most people just see Orochimaru as "that terrifying bad guy". They don't see, or in many cases, understand, just how much of a shock seeing Orochimaru's labs must have been for Hiruzen - or how Hiruzen believed Orochimaru's downfall must have somehow been his fault, since he had been the one to raise him. Jiraiya, on the other hand, is introduced as not just a goofball but also kind of a hero, painting him in a completely different light. People will see the two differently because they were introduced like this.
i am so thankful for finding a streamer who is not a Sakura hater. God knows she had is rough in a fandom. I personally really like her and listening to you at least recognising her for her abilities is like honey to me. Also......i respect your dislike for Sasuke. I hate early Sakura, but I agree she's far from trash, especially Naruto Shippuden and after. TBH she came up with the first mental hospital in the naruto universe after the 4th great shinobi world war in one of the novels and I remember thinking to myself - damn, so many tragedies could have been stopped if this had existed earlier, which is a testament to how far-reaching Sakura's positives have become. She is literally the one making sure nothing falls apart once Naruto and Sasuke have defeated the enemy, and she's no slouch when fighting either. I just wish Kishimoto could have made Sasuke-Sakura pair a lot better.
I agree what you said about the ootsosukies, but the thing is, the story should have hinted at them, like how madara was with Obito, and the valley of the end, for the ootsosukies/kaguya they could have hinted at there existence with white and black zetsu talking to eachother about it, since they were always together

Naruto morality is completely different to the real world. Sakura getting over what Sasuke did to her because she understood that he was warped by his experience with his clan and brother, is understandable. It isn’t WRONG, to feel it makes sense

I would have to disagree with Sakura having the best durability, that would go to Oruchimaru. Dude's been killed, then later sealed by the totsuka blade but yet still is not just alive, but in a time when all the old heads from og Naruto and Shippuden have died out or become irrelevant he's just getting stronger and more powerful, his regen also seems to be the best in the series compared to even Sakura and Tsunade.

That's a way to actually get around durability. It say his fight against Ninetails raging Naruto would attest more to his durability than his immortality ever could. Or the fact that he's a Sannin because he withstood combat against Hanzo and he gave them 3 the title. Immortality and reincarnation type stuff don't stack up to durability.
Pre time skip Sakura was completely useless. She was always intelligent and skilled in chakra control but in a fight she was useless. She was the type of person who knew all the theory but didn't have the ability to apply it in real life combat. Most of Sakura's hate come from her being a very annoying character pre time skip with no purpose. Remove her from the story and nothing significant changes. Post time skip she gained a few feats but was still just an annoying third character that never felt like a main character. Somebody like neji was a better character than Sakura and he was a side character.

Dude, I used be a Sasuke x Sakura shipper and my young mind overlooked Rock Lee as potential partner for Sakura cuz he wasn’t as hot as Sasuke. Eventually I outgrew this mind set and totally understand why you think Rock Lee deserves Sakura cuz I personally feel he’s a good man would actually be more responsible for his kids and help Sakura more. Also good men like like Guy and Rock Lee are to come by where as guys like Sasuke deserve to be forever single.
Tsunade is probably the best Hokage, because most of the big things happened during her reign.. like Pains attack she saved/healed many people, she healed all the kage, healed Rock Lee and many more things!!

Hiruzen becomes a more interesting character if you prescribe to him malice not incompotence. Take the following series of events in consideration and how they benfitted him or Konoha: 1. Decline of the Senju Clan: Hiruzen would have benefitted by filling in the power vacuum 2. Fall of Uzushiogakure: Hiruzen sacfriced an ally to weaken opposing villages and saving Konoha manpower for the coming war 3. Death of Sakumo Hatake: All Hokage were fell in one chain of Disciple-Student relationships. Sakumo was outside this paradigm. The Sannin could be Hokage. Minato or Danzo could be hokage. But Sakumo could not. So what do you do? Disparge his public image and taint his character. His death, I suspect was not expected. 4. Minato is chosen over Orochimaru: Minato was a civilian; he was young; he did not have as much support as Orochimaru; he was easier to control. Hiruzen could maintain more power. 5. Uchiha and Naruto as Scapegoats: Konoha needed to went it was ok directing that anger to the Uchiha who--Hiruzen as Tobirama's student--naturally wants suppress and Naruto as it could allow Hiruzen to be the only source of positivity in the child's life. So that you can color the jinchuriki and control him. 6. Uchiha Genocide: The Uchiha were always a destablizing factor--Danzo explicitly believes that. If Hiruzen shares that belief is it alright to neutralize them. He could have reach out and tried to talk. Itachi himself blames the council for wasting the 1 year brought to them by Shisui's sacrifice in the novel. Hiruzen drags his feet. And once the deed is done, Itachi notes that Hiruzen's insights become much sharper ("as sharp as the sharigan. If only you could have shown this earlier). So it is plausible that he was acting dumb only to force the Uchiha into a tough spot.
See the actual issue with sakura is not about her being useless , its about her being horrible to naruto in the beginning part of the series and being rather inept there, but the issue with the current sakura is that she has reached this level of such a great character , shes a good mom , a good wife and she even helps hinata with her feelings , but we havent seen her become that , we were just shown that hey shes good now , obviously this isnt on the character , this is on the writer doing a diservice to the character

Why people keep bashing on Sakura because of that? The WHOLE village hated, ignored, mocked and shunned Naruto! We saw him being beaten randomly several times by other kids, being shooed away by shop vendors and some people even throwing salt on the street where he walked (salt is supposed to fend off against demons). Not only that he was basically abandoned by Hiruzen, who promised to take care of him. Sakura was raised in such a village, she probably grew up listening to horrible things being said about Naruto, children will behave the same way the adults around them do. The reason why Sakura said what she said and no one else did was 1) They were on the same team, she saw him every day and was in constant contact with him, so there was a higher probability of saying something then all the other Kohona 12 ninja. Because let's remember, when they were all in class together, Sakura also didn't say anything to Naruto off hand. Also, both Shikamaru and Sasuke called Naruto idiot, stupid and failure several times. Ino, alongside other teammates and ninja, also kept calling Naruto a loser on the chuunin exams and hoping for him to lose, while Sakura was the only one who cheered for Naruto. 2) She has a hot temper and is straight forward. We can see that in her "Inner Sakura" where she is always trying to restrain, with a lot of difficulty, hee true thoughts and feelings. That's why we don't see Inner Sakura anymore on Shippuden because Sakura embraced her real self. Naruto is the only person with who Sakura is totally and completely honest. With everyone else, "Inner Sakura" keeps popping up to stop her from saying what she thinks. So being straight forward and a hot head and also angry with Naruto she said something evil. What she said, probably everyone else thought too, but unlike her they didn't open their mouth to say it. Also, Sakura was the only person who ever apologized to Naruto for her behaviour and also his first, true friend alongside Sasuke. 3) Unlike other kids, her parents were random civilian, she probably never experience death in her family when a child, being spoiled by her parents with no notion of war and loss, for her being an orphan or all alone in the world was probably an alien idea that didn't happen. I can also imagine her parents being the ones to say Naruto was a bad child because no one taught him manners, usually children will learn this type of insult from their parents. When children insult each other is always basic stuff like "you're stupid" "you have no brains", etc. Believe me I was a middle school teacher. 12 year old kids called butt and a-hoke to each other all the time. Kids who usually were more emotionally perceptive and came up with very detailed insults, were usually kids who had been put through very rough lives so they had to grow up quickly (and rough can be anything from divorced parents, to neglectful parenting, to abuse, etc). Either that or they learned this type of stuff from their family. 3) Let's not forget Ino bullied Sakura, when they were supposedly friends, all because Sakura had a larger forehead. It's evil and it can crush a child's self esteem, but hey, because Sakura isn't Naruto it doesn't matter right? Also, let's not forget that Ino also calls Sakura a loser for hanging out with Naruto but again, because it's Ino who says it, we just pretend it never happened right? So, I'm not trying to say Sakura was a saint, but no one is, especially on this show and when it comes to Naruto, everyone was from bad to evil to him. Sakura at least apologized, cheered him on, even sacrificed herself against the sound ninja to protect Naruto, became his friend, his companion, all this on the Naruto OG and she still receives flack???? All the other kids and adults that bullied, mocked, ignored, insulted Naruto all get scott free.

I know this video says "DEBUNKED" but honestly I think most of those Hiruzen defense points are kinda weak. The rest of the video is mostly solid but engaging with Sarutobi apologia is just going to be difficult because he had a bad set up. The real reason Hiruzen was so awful at being a guardian for Naruto and neglected him so badly was the same reason Naruto had to be hated by the village and all that, to give Naruto the rough childhood for the underdog story. The point of "Well Hiruzen was bad yeah, but OTHER PEOPLE were also bad and should have helped like Jiraiya", does nothing at all to invalidate the fact that Hiruzen should have and easily could have done more for him. There's basically no real believable excuse for what he did, in this video there wasn't one for sure. Same kind of applies to Hiruzen letting Orochimaru go. Again, a valiant attempt at trying to run defense for an inexcusable act, but still pretty weak. You can appeal to the emotions of Hiruzen seeing Orochimaru as a son but let's be totally complete real for a second here. If you see your own child engaging in human experimentation on the scale of like Dr. Mengele and you do nothing to stop them permanently, you are just flat out the worst scum on the face of the earth and there is pretty much no excuse you can give to justify letting them go, especially not flimsy "Oh but he loved him though you guys!".

Kaguya came to stop the unstoppable Madara and not the other way around, otsutsuki was not planned before the true ending of Naruto Shippuden, so kaguya coming without any introduction at all was a big big mistake.
About Madara and Pain while their plans were forcing others to have it their way, you should take into account that is just how the shinobi world works the mission comes first, there is no grey areas for them, the question should be asked if they were right, not in our standards but theirs, how they view their world and what extremes must be taken to achieve such a large scale goal like they had in mind.
Sakura was a normal girl who grew to be so much more, rivaling her teammates who are from powerful bloodlines without having a major power like Kurama or the sharingan

Sakura sucks, because her character doesn't grow as a person, her love for Sasuke being the worst part of her character. Her abilities and feats are far less than the rest of team seven, and she is simply a very uninteresting character.
Sakura truly was the most useless in the naruto like the show specifically. She showed us how strong she got when she fought with chiyo against sasori but after that and before that literally useless until the very end of the show it was just sad because we know she could have done so much more.

In my opinion, Hiruzen didn't even TRY with Naruto and your reasoning isn't enough. We all know Kushina's wish to him but Hiruzen also knows Minato's wish for Naruto to be able to one day control Kurama's chakra for the village. Naruto could have been given a teacher much sooner like his own grandson Konohamaru got to start early with that training. He could have assigned a caretaker to Naruto so he at least had a clean home and fresh food daily. He could have made it a crime to harass Naruto like the villagers did considering he was literally a ticking time bomb of kyuubi chakra. There were so many options that he straight up never did because he decided he was going to be hands off on the matter for no real reason other than his own selfish feelings. He could have been the direct cause of the destruction of the village by Naruto's hands if Naruto wasn't so forgiving. That makes him a bad hokage in my eyes.

So this might just be an unpopular/popular opinion but I kinda think sakura should have been Hinata. Like from the word 'go'. Hinata has arguably better chakra control, with the magic eyes she'd be able to look at someone's whole body all at once at a celular level. And it'd be better for Sakura too. If she was on team 8 with kiba and Shino she would have had argueably more chance to shine on her own. Without sasuke distracting her, and yada yada yada, she'd been more focused on her own training? Maybe...it's hard to talk about Sakura is "useless" without talking about Sasuke and thats kinda... Anyway. Without Naruto she wouldn't be able to project her own self doubt and what not onto him. Thus she'd be forced to confront her own issues. So if Hinata and Sakura got switched both would have thrived. As people and as characters...
If they had been switched it would have been great for Sakura because Kurenai was team 8's teacher. She could have detected Sakura's chakra control and impervious innate ability against genjutsu and train her on genjutsu. Make her like a mini Kurenai, like might guy did with Rock Lee. But I think it was due to the fact that the Byakugan and Uchiha clan were not in good terms and that two eye ninjutsu wielders was too much for one team. After all the teams were supposed to be balanced. Ino-shika-cho are an already made team from previous generations, so of course they wouldn't be changed, and the might guy team already has neji.
So as someone who can relate to Hiruzen mentally, I appreciate your defense of him here. Same for Tsunade, though I feel less towards her. She did kind of feel like she was just there, until you start actually counting up what all happened during her time as Hokage. I also think that any hate that would get for Jiraiya's decision, is stupid, and the people involved don't know what they are talking about. Such decisions are the curse of leadership. As for your SasuSaku take, I agree that any of her old crush would have been deteriorated, though I think the pact that she and Naruto had to bring Sasuke back would have probably done something to pump life back into it from time to time. I also would not have been too upset if she had ended up with Lee, and Sasuke ended up with Karin, but in the end I do think that SasuSaku works a lot better than either of those pairings. I just think it needs a little more explaining, and to Kishimoto's credit, I remember somewhere that he did an interview where he admitted to struggling with writing romance, so it kind of makes sense that their "love story" (for lack of a better terrm) is so bad.
Bad writing is literally the ends all to this regardless. Her being a main character makes the bad writing worse. How do you sideline a main character? The fictional character isn't gonna write and make things consistent.

You know what I wish they had done, given the Sasuke Light Novel intrudicing a Kekkai Genkai in the same area Hidan was, was that they dropped the ball with Hidan in general. He has relatively the same eye color, hair color, and similar location. Kakuzu confirms that he can't be dead because he wasn't reanimated in the 4th Great War. Which means someone got him out of the hole. What I would love to see is them re-introducing him, and actually using a reasonable thing he could have. Give that cocky immortal guy more than just an immortal gimmick and bring him back, slap the Ketsuryūgan on him. Maybe he could be of use somewhere in Boruto. Who knows.

The real problem with Sakura is her writing. In Shippuden, it feels like she is just given powers like "okay she's strong and badass now guys, Team 7 and all that" while the ENTIRE Naruto series is showing characters like Sasuke and Naruto, training, fighting, getting stronger, having setbacks, pushing forward, gaining abilities, etc... Also, what's probably even worse, is her crappy "love story" with Sasuke. From the first episode of Naruto, to the last of Shippuden, we aren't shown a single real moment or reason that either character would be attracted to the other, besides Sasuke being the cool mysterious school-boy that all the girls like. So the whole time that Sakura is desperate for Sasuke to love her while he is treating her like a raging piece of shit, it just makes her seem like a complete idiot, rather than a dedicated lover. The worst part is that it probably wouldn't have been that hard to write her well, like they did with basically ALL THE OTHER CHARACTERS.
Personally I agree with Sasuke's pre final Naruto post kaguya fight philosophy. If everyone is afraid to go to war because they know they WILL be destroyed there will be no more war. There may be other problems but war would be gone.

Sakura was annoying in part 1 and st the time, always needed rescuing. Your explanation as to why she was so much weaker than her teammates should clear it up. By the time Shippuden ends, she's grown into a splendid shinobi and is now a legend and hokage candidate. The only knock on her character now is she s still written as a woman who loves toxic relationships, married the man who abused and tried to kill her and spent so much time away from home he almost killed their daughter. But that's Sasuke's job they're saying... I'm sorry but if Naruto had to be on the road, he wouldn't have let himself be a complete stranger to his family for a decade plus. And yes, she looked after Naruto and Sasuke as they lay knocked out at the chuunin exams. On Hiruzen raising Naruto, I point to Sasuke. He and Naruto were both orphans who were raised the same way, children of the state. Look how Sasuke lived and look at Naruto. Same ages. Naruto was irresponsible and Sasuke was not. That's not Hiruzens fault.

People are ignoring the fact that no matter how much weaker Sakura was compared to the enemy she always put up a fight. She fought against the sound shinobi, ino, madara, kaguya, shin.. no matter what she always did her best to protect her teammates or help them achieve the goal she never completely relied on the three geniuses with god like powers
By the end of the day, it's not really about how weak or strong she is. I think if sakura's actions can be more rational rather than emotional as well as being a bit less annoying (come on, she can become annoying sometimes and i'm not even talking about her gags of punching naruto) maybe people would tolerate her more. Since she's a main character, she took a lot of screentime but sometimes just did these things which kinda made you wish it didn't happen. I'm talking about her false confession on naruto, her putting her peers to sleep when they were trying to help her get to sasuke, etc etc. kishimoto's bad writing also affects her badly like sometimes random things happening like how she can't destroy obito's rinnegan or just crying helplessly screaming for naruto during pain arc when everyone was trying their best to survive (i knew that kishi was trying to show how dire the situation is, but considering konohamaru killed a pain and no one else was really giving into despair, it just kinda made sakura look really weak which is probably also why the sakura summoning naruto meme got more popular. kishi could've made other more insignificant ninja like moegi or iruka to do that but nope, he just had to put it on sakura which was supposed to be one of the more competent ninja), even in the final battle of naruto vs sasuke kishi still made her emotional and helpless as if her character never grew and just cried helplessly, like sasuke tried to kill her in their last meeting twice and there's just no development from her like doubting sasuke or hating sasuke, she's still simping for him unconditionally. She has her moments but kishi just made her worse than she already was.

Then in the middle of her fighting 3 pains Sakura's whole inner monologue is about how she's done being useless. Then in the final moments Sakura is on the ground battered and beaten pain is giving one of his speeches telling her to give into dispair. And she while still bleeding out barely keeping her eyes open, her beyakuga seal used up, clearly out of options she declares, "I will never give up. I am Sakura Haruno, disciple of lady Tsunade of the legendary sanin and the 5th hokage. *Forcing herself to stand up* so long as I draw breath there is always hope. Naruto taught me that. Naruto showed me that. (Insert the swing flashback) all those years he was outcast by the village and I was so mean to him. (Flash back to the scene you all know the one along with others) and yet he never held ill intent towards me. (all the flash backs where Naruto went out of his way to show kindness to her immediately after she was being a bitch) Naruto wouldn't give into dispair and neither will I. I carry the will of fire and if you want to snuff it out you'll have to kill me." Pain goes in for the kill then Naruto shows up.

Sakura went to Naruto to confess in an attempt to stop him from chasing Sasuke because she thought she was putting a burden on him. She was lying to herself and Naruto just so she wouldn't be a burden to him. What led to her believe this was the things Sai said to her. While Naruto was still optimistic about Sakura, seeing Sasuke going down a darker and darker path was really hurting Sakura, she loved him so much that she felt that she had to save him from that and she thought she should be the one to kill him. Which is why she put the others to sleep. She didn't think she would survive that she knew she would probably die fighting at the hands of Sasuke but she was fine with that risk. She just didn't want to risk other's lives as well.
Sakura yelling Naruto's name in Pain arc was there to be a cool entrance for Naruto but somehow everyone uses it to hate on Sakura just like they do with anything else. One morning randomly out of nowhere Sakura witnessed all of her village get flattened by some godlike entity. Her master and Hokage was in a coma trying to save people, Kakashi had died, Sasuke was long gone and Naruto was nowhere to be seen. She was running from patient to patient trying to save everyone she can as a 17 year old she was leading the medical ninjas as others were bringing in more and more people. I don't know how you can expect her to not cry and reach a boiling point after doing everything she could. If Naruto didn't show up Pain would probably just take breaks destroying all of Konoha. Who else can she cry for? Is it really Sakura's fault for being the only one who reacts to this situation in a way that actually makes sense? You are saying that everyone else was trying to survive but Sakura was the one saving and healing them.
Sakura's love for Sasuke is not just simping. Sakura was always gentle with them and saved them even if it's a small thing like jumping under him as he fell. Sakura felt really lonely in Konoha because she didn't really have nice parents, was bullied in school and her ex best friend never saw her as an equal. Sasuke was one of the first people that understood her and didn't bully her, complimented her and was nice to her. Which is why his actions before leaving was so shocking to her, she was lonely again once Sasuke left. Which is why she even tells him to take her too. my main problem with sasusaku is that there are very tiny things that show sasuke also liked sakura a lot when they were genins but never confronted those feelings or acted on it because he thought that kind of thing was a weakness.. but they are very tiny details. sakura's whole story is hidden in details that was never really explained or actually shown so they are so easy to miss. I am fine with everything if they just made sakura fight after meeting chakra deprived sasuke on the bridge surely she would be able to put on a fight against a tired sasuke.. them fighting a little and sakura doing talk no jutsu would be nice to see and after that sasuke would have to dip cuz of the others catching up. please if naruto ever gets remade give us something.. anything... I agree here!!! There are many small scenes that are heartwarming and make me feel Sasuke did have feelings for Sakura but was not ready to acknowledge them. Overall... I have a very soft spot for SS, yet I do understand the criticism. And I agree that's a little bit of a stretch considering the things Sasuke has put her through.
As for me, I'd like SS to be rewritten. Nick said in a video about rewriting Sakura that she should have really fought Sasuke on that bridge. And that is absolutely true. I hate how Kishimoto took away that opportunity from her - to both develop as a character and show her relationship with Sasuke more dramatic, let's say? Also talk no jutsu that you mentioned... I can understand why she does not hate him after all those years. Sasuke was a mentally unstable teen who has gone through a severe trauma and nothing will change my opinion here I'm afraid. Sakura is a healer & she creates mental health clinics for children - therefore I assume she understands the importance of mental stability itself and the fact that growing up does not mean you'll recover from what has hurt you in past. People are being chased by their own demons through their whole life and so is Sasuke. To me, it'd be weird if he hadn't gone crazy or at least hadn't had some real bad neurosis...
However; what I said above about clinics... it referrs to the time when Sakura is an adult. On that bridge she is still a teen - I feel that after the situation on the bridge she should have had more doubts about own feelings. She forgives too many things and too soon. She is too young to understand the impact that trauma had on Sasuke. The understanding should have come gradually with the time passing. I'd rather to see her a bit anxious of Sasuke during the war, much less trusting, and maybe even angry. You can love someone and still feel you cannot fully trust them (which is probably a red flag! but no one said relationships in Naruto need to be all in green ones...). When loving a person, usually all the emotions we have towards them are stronger. Including anger.
Immediate change in Sasuke after the fight with Naruto was also too rapid to me, hah. Sure, the curse of hatred could be gone etc... But it still does not fix Sasuke's mental health. At least to me that solution was a bit lazy. But even if curse of hatred was the only reason he acted the way he did... and he changed... and he wanted to fix things... then I think he should have been the one trying to fix his terms with Sakura after realising how poorly he treated her. I'd like to know some more about their journeys, talks, and see her slowly accepting him and recovering own feelings towards him. This way SS would be a much more mature and less foggy relationship. Sasuke should not have this big head start & in fact his relationship with Sakura needs much more work than with anyone else if wanting to repair the damage he's done.

I wouldn't say Hiruzen is a bad person by any means. The original series goes out of its way to show how good natured he is. But his story in Shippuden in all honesty, is showing how being kind, strong and merciful isn't enough to succeed as a ruler if theirs corruption or infighting under your rule, setting up for Sasuke's later ideal that the rule needed to be ruled by overwhelming power and fear after seeing the example of kindness fail and lead into his Clan's destruction.
All things people acuse Hiruzen of are either because he didnt do enough and isnt a minding controling god. He never stired problem with anyone and always pushed for peace and giving people a chance.

And no, fighting Madara and then Kaguya does not exonerate Sasuke from fault, because the motives behind doing so were entirely self-serving. Even if they weren't, that doesn't negate what he did, that never how it works, nor should it ever be.
My biggest issue with the ending of the war arc was that the coming of the Otsutsukis wasn't foreshadowed at all. If Kaguya was foreshadowed from relatively early on, it would have been fine.
Really appreciate how much sensitivity you've shown for the characters baring much disdain that they do not entirely have control of.

Just an inconsistency I find odd, when we talk about Sasuke's communication with Sakura we bring up all the bad moments, but we've never done the same with Gaara or Neji when they're at their lowest. If you asked someone if their worst interactions with other characters defined those relationships they'd vehemently disagree. I think people overthink how angry Sasuke was towards people in part one and when he insulted Sakura it sticks, but when you actually watch interactions with, he treats her pretty normal? He takes her ideas seriously and communicates like any normal person would and the worse things he said to her was in regards to what she said about Naruto and shutting her down when she tried to be intimate with him, both of which were actually very reasonable responses (and I say that as a Sakura fan and SS shipper)
People seem to over exaggerate how "toxic" the relationship is, but go back and watch part one and when he responds to her it's not nearly as bad as we think it is.

I have to say, now I finally understand why Hiruzen did not take Naruto in. I always knew he was very close to Orochimaru, but did not know he was Hiruzen's adopted child. So going on that Orochimaru went rogue and that Naruto, at that time in the story, was seen as the evil Nine tails. It makes sense for him wanting to keep his distance in case Naruto follows the same path as Orochimaru and will feel it was his fault.

The issue is, she didn't come into her own until pretty late in the series. Through all of OG Naruto, and a big chunk of Shippuden, she was pretty useless -- when compared to her teammates.

I feel like the biggest problem with Sakura writing wise was that a love story was written at the core of her character to some extent by a guy who admitted outright that he's not very good at romance. I think her character would've turned out better if her focus was less on Sasuke in particular and more so a story of an average person in that world achieving greatness by following the examples of those around her.
Edit: I'm not saying she couldn't have gotten with Sasuke later but I feel like that probably would've been better if they had period where they had to learn to trust him again.

the thing in the Naruto fandom that I hate is how unnecessarily OP Naruto ended up being by the end of the series and how no one seems to care. I know a lot of people are going to say "well he's the main character, so obviously he's going to be the strongest" that's not always the case, but even if it was there is no reason why he had to be the strongest by THIS MUCH. except for Sasuke, all the friends he grew up with are essentially nullified in his presence. they could all just retire and the village would be just as safe.
Not to mention the political implications of having basically two gods on your village, how threatened the other villages must feel and how fear could bring chaos could be an interesting dilema. But alas, Kishimoto doesn't know what politics are, I would even be surprised if he knows the difference between feudalism and capitalism at all.
The moment Sakura and Ino joined the medical corp they stopped being "useless" in my eyes. They have an entire field of knowledge and expertise under their belts other than just fighting. But apparently in a Shonen Manga, the more you brawl the more useful you seem to readers.
I thought Sakura largely redeemed herself in Shippuden but when she had the chance to destroy the rinnegan before madara could take it but she just completely froze and didn't do it brought her down a lot. There is another UA-camr, @DygoKnight, that is doing a pretty cool series on rewriting Naruto to address some of the plot holes and character development skips throughout the story. In particular, he does a great job highlighting Sakura’s strengths and her growth to bring her more in line with her power demonstrated in the light novels

Its more of a theory than a opinion but when Hiruzen was called the strongest shinobi ever early on in the show, it might be because he was ORIGINALLY supposed to be the strongest until Kishimoto decided to change it. Kind of how a lot of the in lore opinions sometimes dont make sense is because the writers AFTER writing those statements decided to change it, in Hiruzens case that would be to make him weaker or to make Hashirama stronger than he was originaly supposed to be.

This man's views on Naruto really strick a cord with me, you only truly know amd understand something when you've experienced it.
I've watched and read stories that'd be considered taboo or bad, but enjoyed them.
Really, it always comes around to personal views. For instance, after reading Naruto to the 50th volume, I've changed my opinions on a lot of it.
Most people just see Orochimaru as "that terrifying bad guy". They don't see, or in many cases, understand, just how much of a shock seeing Orochimaru's labs must have been for Hiruzen - or how Hiruzen believed Orochimaru's downfall must have somehow been his fault, since he had been the one to raise him. Jiraiya, on the other hand, is introduced as not just a goofball but also kind of a hero, painting him in a completely different light. People will see the two differently because they were introduced like this.
i am so thankful for finding a streamer who is not a Sakura hater. God knows she had is rough in a fandom. I personally really like her and listening to you at least recognising her for her abilities is like honey to me. Also......i respect your dislike for Sasuke. I hate early Sakura, but I agree she's far from trash, especially Naruto Shippuden and after. TBH she came up with the first mental hospital in the naruto universe after the 4th great shinobi world war in one of the novels and I remember thinking to myself - damn, so many tragedies could have been stopped if this had existed earlier, which is a testament to how far-reaching Sakura's positives have become. She is literally the one making sure nothing falls apart once Naruto and Sasuke have defeated the enemy, and she's no slouch when fighting either. I just wish Kishimoto could have made Sasuke-Sakura pair a lot better.

I would have to disagree with Sakura having the best durability, that would go to Oruchimaru. Dude's been killed, then later sealed by the totsuka blade but yet still is not just alive, but in a time when all the old heads from og Naruto and Shippuden have died out or become irrelevant he's just getting stronger and more powerful, his regen also seems to be the best in the series compared to even Sakura and Tsunade.
But if you can die you're not very durable... durable means tanking hits and not dying lol.

Sakura was never useless post timeskip she was underutilized.
Pre time skip Sakura was completely useless. She was always intelligent and skilled in chakra control but in a fight she was useless. She was the type of person who knew all the theory but didn't have the ability to apply it in real life combat.
Most of Sakura's hate come from her being a very annoying character pre time skip with no purpose. Remove her from the story and nothing significant changes. Post time skip she gained a few feats but was still just an annoying third character that never felt like a main character. Somebody like neji was a better character than Sakura and he was a side character.
Don't blame the fans for not liking a poorly written character. Most women in Naruto are poorly written btw.

Dude, I used be a Sasuke x Sakura shipper and my young mind overlooked Rock Lee as potential partner for Sakura cuz he wasn’t as hot as Sasuke. Eventually I outgrew this mind set and totally understand why you think Rock Lee deserves Sakura cuz I personally feel he’s a good man would actually be more responsible for his kids and help Sakura more. Also good men like like Guy and Rock Lee are to come by where as guys like Sasuke deserve to be forever single.
This is a pretty interesting analysis on Sakura and Hiruzen's characters.
Tsunade is probably the best Hokage, because most of the big things happened during her reign.. like Pains attack she saved/healed many people, she healed all the kage, healed Rock Lee and many more things!!

Hiruzen becomes a more interesting character if you prescribe to him malice not incompotence. Take the following series of events in consideration and how they benfitted him or Konoha:
1. Decline of the Senju Clan: Hiruzen would have benefitted by filling in the power vacuum
2. Fall of Uzushiogakure: Hiruzen sacfriced an ally to weaken opposing villages and saving Konoha manpower for the coming war
3. Death of Sakumo Hatake: All Hokage were fell in one chain of Disciple-Student relationships. Sakumo was outside this paradigm. The Sannin could be Hokage. Minato or Danzo could be hokage. But Sakumo could not. So what do you do? Disparge his public image and taint his character. His death, I suspect was not expected.
4. Minato is chosen over Orochimaru: Minato was a civilian; he was young; he did not have as much support as Orochimaru; he was easier to control. Hiruzen could maintain more power.
5. Uchiha and Naruto as Scapegoats: Konoha needed to went it was ok directing that anger to the Uchiha who--Hiruzen as Tobirama's student--naturally wants suppress and Naruto as it could allow Hiruzen to be the only source of positivity in the child's life. So that you can color the jinchuriki and control him.
6. Uchiha Genocide: The Uchiha were always a destablizing factor--Danzo explicitly believes that. If Hiruzen shares that belief is it alright to neutralize them. He could have reach out and tried to talk. Itachi himself blames the council for wasting the 1 year brought to them by Shisui's sacrifice in the novel. Hiruzen drags his feet. And once the deed is done, Itachi notes that Hiruzen's insights become much sharper ("as sharp as the sharigan. If only you could have shown this earlier). So it is plausible that he was acting dumb only to force the Uchiha into a tough spot.
See the actual issue with sakura is not about her being useless , its about her being horrible to naruto in the beginning part of the series and being rather inept there, but the issue with the current sakura is that she has reached this level of such a great character , shes a good mom , a good wife and she even helps hinata with her feelings , but we havent seen her become that , we were just shown that hey shes good now , obviously this isnt on the character , this is on the writer doing a diservice to the character

Why people keep bashing on Sakura because of that?
The WHOLE village hated, ignored, mocked and shunned Naruto! We saw him being beaten randomly several times by other kids, being shooed away by shop vendors and some people even throwing salt on the street where he walked (salt is supposed to fend off against demons). Not only that he was basically abandoned by Hiruzen, who promised to take care of him.
Sakura was raised in such a village, she probably grew up listening to horrible things being said about Naruto, children will behave the same way the adults around them do. The reason why Sakura said what she said and no one else did was
1) They were on the same team, she saw him every day and was in constant contact with him, so there was a higher probability of saying something then all the other Kohona 12 ninja. Because let's remember, when they were all in class together, Sakura also didn't say anything to Naruto off hand. Also, both Shikamaru and Sasuke called Naruto idiot, stupid and failure several times. Ino, alongside other teammates and ninja, also kept calling Naruto a loser on the chuunin exams and hoping for him to lose, while Sakura was the only one who cheered for Naruto.
2) She has a hot temper and is straight forward. We can see that in her "Inner Sakura" where she is always trying to restrain, with a lot of difficulty, hee true thoughts and feelings. That's why we don't see Inner Sakura anymore on Shippuden because Sakura embraced her real self.
Naruto is the only person with who Sakura is totally and completely honest. With everyone else, "Inner Sakura" keeps popping up to stop her from saying what she thinks. So being straight forward and a hot head and also angry with Naruto she said something evil.
What she said, probably everyone else thought too, but unlike her they didn't open their mouth to say it. Also, Sakura was the only person who ever apologized to Naruto for her behaviour and also his first, true friend alongside Sasuke.
3) Unlike other kids, her parents were random civilian, she probably never experience death in her family when a child, being spoiled by her parents with no notion of war and loss, for her being an orphan or all alone in the world was probably an alien idea that didn't happen. I can also imagine her parents being the ones to say Naruto was a bad child because no one taught him manners, usually children will learn this type of insult from their parents. When children insult each other is always basic stuff like "you're stupid" "you have no brains", etc. Believe me I was a middle school teacher. 12 year old kids called butt and a-hoke to each other all the time. Kids who usually were more emotionally perceptive and came up with very detailed insults, were usually kids who had been put through very rough lives so they had to grow up quickly (and rough can be anything from divorced parents, to neglectful parenting, to abuse, etc). Either that or they learned this type of stuff from their family.
3) Let's not forget Ino bullied Sakura, when they were supposedly friends, all because Sakura had a larger forehead. It's evil and it can crush a child's self esteem, but hey, because Sakura isn't Naruto it doesn't matter right? Also, let's not forget that Ino also calls Sakura a loser for hanging out with Naruto but again, because it's Ino who says it, we just pretend it never happened right?
So, I'm not trying to say Sakura was a saint, but no one is, especially on this show and when it comes to Naruto, everyone was from bad to evil to him. Sakura at least apologized, cheered him on, even sacrificed herself against the sound ninja to protect Naruto, became his friend, his companion, all this on the Naruto OG and she still receives flack????
All the other kids and adults that bullied, mocked, ignored, insulted Naruto all get scott free.

I know this video says "DEBUNKED" but honestly I think most of those Hiruzen defense points are kinda weak. The rest of the video is mostly solid but engaging with Sarutobi apologia is just going to be difficult because he had a bad set up. The real reason Hiruzen was so awful at being a guardian for Naruto and neglected him so badly was the same reason Naruto had to be hated by the village and all that, to give Naruto the rough childhood for the underdog story.
The point of "Well Hiruzen was bad yeah, but OTHER PEOPLE were also bad and should have helped like Jiraiya", does nothing at all to invalidate the fact that Hiruzen should have and easily could have done more for him. There's basically no real believable excuse for what he did, in this video there wasn't one for sure.
Same kind of applies to Hiruzen letting Orochimaru go. Again, a valiant attempt at trying to run defense for an inexcusable act, but still pretty weak. You can appeal to the emotions of Hiruzen seeing Orochimaru as a son but let's be totally complete real for a second here. If you see your own child engaging in human experimentation on the scale of like Dr. Mengele and you do nothing to stop them permanently, you are just flat out the worst scum on the face of the earth and there is pretty much no excuse you can give to justify letting them go, especially not flimsy "Oh but he loved him though you guys!".
I think the reason people say Sakura is useless is hecause she doesn't do much in the story compared to the rest of team 7. Every arc from second in shippuden until the five kage summit arc she barely does anything.

Kaguya came to stop the unstoppable Madara and not the other way around, otsutsuki was not planned before the true ending of Naruto Shippuden, so kaguya coming without any introduction at all was a big big mistake.
About Madara and Pain while their plans were forcing others to have it their way, you should take into account that is just how the shinobi world works the mission comes first, there is no grey areas for them, the question should be asked if they were right, not in our standards but theirs, how they view their world and what extremes must be taken to achieve such a large scale goal like they had in mind.

Sakura sucks, because her character doesn't grow as a person, her love for Sasuke being the worst part of her character. Her abilities and feats are far less than the rest of team seven, and she is simply a very uninteresting character.
Sakura truly was the most useless in the naruto like the show specifically. She showed us how strong she got when she fought with chiyo against sasori but after that and before that literally useless until the very end of the show it was just sad because we know she could have done so much more.

In my opinion, Hiruzen didn't even TRY with Naruto and your reasoning isn't enough. We all know Kushina's wish to him but Hiruzen also knows Minato's wish for Naruto to be able to one day control Kurama's chakra for the village. Naruto could have been given a teacher much sooner like his own grandson Konohamaru got to start early with that training. He could have assigned a caretaker to Naruto so he at least had a clean home and fresh food daily. He could have made it a crime to harass Naruto like the villagers did considering he was literally a ticking time bomb of kyuubi chakra. There were so many options that he straight up never did because he decided he was going to be hands off on the matter for no real reason other than his own selfish feelings. He could have been the direct cause of the destruction of the village by Naruto's hands if Naruto wasn't so forgiving. That makes him a bad hokage in my eyes.
Im noy saying shes useless. She just pales in comparison with Naruto and Sasuke's achievements. She just falls short given the screentime she had. But you gotta agree she's an annoying character. I'll never forget she insulted an orphan in front of another orphan.
Sakura does nothing but sit back and cry about Sasuke. When Naruto is down and out she doesn't uplift him. She always bullies him and belittles him. Yea she got better by the end, but that's not enough. Her and Sasuke deserve each other.

Sakura being the one of the first people to actually take naruto's dream seriously and ACTIVELY support and protect it. Don't act as if she didn't give thought about sasuke when she almost gave up in chunin exams for Naruto. "She always bullies and belittles him" you must be talking about sasuke cause sakura didn't . Get your facts right.
So this might just be an unpopular/popular opinion but I kinda think sakura should have been Hinata. Like from the word 'go'.
Hinata has arguably better chakra control, with the magic eyes she'd be able to look at someone's whole body all at once at a celular level.
And it'd be better for Sakura too. If she was on team 8 with kiba and Shino she would have had argueably more chance to shine on her own. Without sasuke distracting her, and yada yada yada, she'd been more focused on her own training? Maybe...it's hard to talk about Sakura is "useless" without talking about Sasuke and thats kinda... Anyway. Without Naruto she wouldn't be able to project her own self doubt and what not onto him. Thus she'd be forced to confront her own issues.
So if Hinata and Sakura got switched both would have thrived. As people and as characters...
If they had been switched it would have been great for Sakura because Kurenai was team 8's teacher.
She could have detected Sakura's chakra control and impervious innate ability against genjutsu and train her on genjutsu. Make her like a mini Kurenai, like might guy did with Rock Lee.
But I think it was due to the fact that the Byakugan and Uchiha clan were not in good terms and that two eye ninjutsu wielders was too much for one team. After all the teams were supposed to be balanced.
Ino-shika-cho are an already made team from previous generations, so of course they wouldn't be changed, and the might guy team already has neji.
The most useful jutsu Sakura ever used was the Naruto summoning jutsu in the pain arch

Jokes aside, Naruto wasn't there sooner because of Danzo meddling. You can't give her credit for summoning Naruto in that case.
So as someone who can relate to Hiruzen mentally, I appreciate your defense of him here. Same for Tsunade, though I feel less towards her. She did kind of feel like she was just there, until you start actually counting up what all happened during her time as Hokage. I also think that any hate that would get for Jiraiya's decision, is stupid, and the people involved don't know what they are talking about. Such decisions are the curse of leadership. As for your SasuSaku take, I agree that any of her old crush would have been deteriorated, though I think the pact that she and Naruto had to bring Sasuke back would have probably done something to pump life back into it from time to time. I also would not have been too upset if she had ended up with Lee, and Sasuke ended up with Karin, but in the end I do think that SasuSaku works a lot better than either of those pairings. I just think it needs a little more explaining, and to Kishimoto's credit, I remember somewhere that he did an interview where he admitted to struggling with writing romance, so it kind of makes sense that their "love story" (for lack of a better terrm) is so bad.

The probleme is not her strenght being less then the others , her proboeme was her attitude ,fin was effectivelly as usefull as she was yet nobody makes jokes about her because she didn't have the attitude of sakura
What made her useless is not her abilities but the fact that her being on the screen or not effectivelly just made the scean bad because we already know what she's going to do , get abgry for no reason and hit naruto for no reason

The real problem with Sakura is her writing. In Shippuden, it feels like she is just given powers like "okay she's strong and badass now guys, Team 7 and all that" while the ENTIRE Naruto series is showing characters like Sasuke and Naruto, training, fighting, getting stronger, having setbacks, pushing forward, gaining abilities, etc... Also, what's probably even worse, is her crappy "love story" with Sasuke. From the first episode of Naruto, to the last of Shippuden, we aren't shown a single real moment or reason that either character would be attracted to the other, besides Sasuke being the cool mysterious school-boy that all the girls like. So the whole time that Sakura is desperate for Sasuke to love her while he is treating her like a raging piece of shit, it just makes her seem like a complete idiot, rather than a dedicated lover. The worst part is that it probably wouldn't have been that hard to write her well, like they did with basically ALL THE OTHER CHARACTERS.
Personally I agree with Sasuke's pre final Naruto post kaguya fight philosophy. If everyone is afraid to go to war because they know they WILL be destroyed there will be no more war. There may be other problems but war would be gone.

Sakura was annoying in part 1 and st the time, always needed rescuing. Your explanation as to why she was so much weaker than her teammates should clear it up. By the time Shippuden ends, she's grown into a splendid shinobi and is now a legend and hokage candidate. The only knock on her character now is she s still written as a woman who loves toxic relationships, married the man who abused and tried to kill her and spent so much time away from home he almost killed their daughter. But that's Sasuke's job they're saying... I'm sorry but if Naruto had to be on the road, he wouldn't have let himself be a complete stranger to his family for a decade plus. And yes, she looked after Naruto and Sasuke as they lay knocked out at the chuunin exams. On Hiruzen raising Naruto, I point to Sasuke. He and Naruto were both orphans who were raised the same way, children of the state. Look how Sasuke lived and look at Naruto. Same ages. Naruto was irresponsible and Sasuke was not. That's not Hiruzens fault.
