Sam being Sam... Always so kind and generous! The ensemble was really strong and that makes the show better, he is an amazing actor, who grew so much during these two seasons, but above all he is an excellent human being!
Thank you Sam for such an insightful interview. This was my favorite Jamie episode of the season. It is equaled only by my favorite Claire episode, Faith. I love Jamie with the red hair & Sam with his blonde, but I like both with the long hair, no matter the color. Outlander should win awards for every week, especially this one. Spectacular
The blessing for me is that I discovered this glorious series, knowing that I have 5 season in waiting. I can watch whenever I want, right now I'm watching 6 episodes daily. Another glorious awaking is knowing that season 6 will be released March of 2022, which gives me plenty of time to catch up. Oh how happy I am to have came upon OUTLANDER!!!! I'm singing a happy song, after all I do have an Irish name.
Yeah, while there was certainly a strong ethnic dimension to this conflict, it's definitely been oversimplified in the standard Hollywood-esque manner with the religious and political elements toned down so that it more strongly resembles Braveheart.
Yeah, it sort of feels like the religious and political dimensions of this conflict have been toned down to make it more digestible to American audiences (no offence to well-informed Americans who understand the nuances of UK history).
I get really upset that it always seems Scotland V England, when in actual fact it’s Scotland against the rest of the Uk - which is ENGLAND, IRELAND & WALES. Living in Scotland today, my choice over Darlington, County Durham and being English I found it really difficult during the referendum to hear a lot of work colleagues who had known me for years become anti English, I went home crying some days it was that bad because Alex Salmond always referred Westminster being ENGLISH rule rather than all of Britain. Anyway, love your comment and totally agree, been with my Scottish man for 23 years and love him like I did them years ago.
@@diannemetcalfe3286 I agree with your initial point, but 'the rest of the UK' is mainly England (this is an overwhelming demographic, economic, and political fact). Wales didn't enter the UK voluntarily in the way that the Scottish nobility did in 1707 - it was forced under the control of the monarchy of England by violent conquest and legal assimilation with the heads of the Welsh royal family mounted on spikes at the Tower of London. Lastly, there's also the fact that the British army at Culloden was full of Scots, despite most of the highlanders being Jacobites.
Scotland vs England? If that is the case how come the people of Edinburgh and Glasgow celebrated with bonfires and street parties once the result of Culloden became known?

Outlander episode 210 Prestonpans, was amazing. Angus, death scene was just heartbreaking. Great job, cast and crew!
