25 minute 5k is a great milestone. I feel like getting to the point where I could do that when I wanted was the point where I felt like I was an above average runner. My next milestone goal is sub-20 minute 5k - I’m doing a 5k in a little more than a week where that’ll be my aim. My Garmin seems to think that I can do it in 18:51, but that would be a three minute PB, so really anything under 20 minutes would be incredible for me.

This video literally brought tears to my eyes. I’ve been a runner my whole life. I’m now 62 years old and a cancer survivor. I am still running. Not nearly as fast as when I was in my prime but that doesn’t matter. To see all those people do so well was inspiring. To see Andy and Sarah encouraging everyone was even better.

Back in 2009, I made a pledge that if I ever stop using crutches, I would start running. I did. 14 years later and having recovered from 4 knee operations I am running! My goal is to keep running as it gives me the biggest joy and sense of freedom. I completed my first trail half marathon in June this year - this was my biggest motivation for recovery after the last operation in 2022. My goals are two-fold.
    1. Run and finish my first half marathon on 8/27.
    2. Run and finish my first marathon on 11/12.
I started running in April, so both of these are quite lofty for me.

Well done to everyone who took part in this. I imagine running alongside Sarah & Andy was an inspiration & a tremendous incentive but the pace still had to be maintained. My goals are sub 45minutes 10k which is slightly out of my reach at the moment but something I think I can achieve with some consistent training & good health🤞

It was amazing-I was struggling to keep with the main lead group so the couple of bits where you see Andy hanging back a bit is the pep talks to me and a couple of others in that middle group. It was genuinely amazing having his calm guidance-at 3.5k I was nearly done, but his advice at that point was definitely what got me to the 24:46 that I managed to finish in. I was so happy I did it, and it was definitely thanks to Andy!! ❤❤❤

Thanks Andy and Sarah! I used this as inspiration/ motivation to push for a 5km PB, at Park Run, today. Previous, hard fought, PB was 29:09…today, 27:45. The most pleasing thing was that I was able to maintain a relatively steady pace all the way through, even speeding up, slightly for the last 1km!
    Next stop, 25 minutes!

Lovely video. Well done to everyone who smashed their pbs, as well as the lovely presenters.
I'm working towards a few goals myself, a sub-19 parkrun (12 seconds off at the moment), asub-39 10km, a sub 1:28 half, to complete a marathon, and to do 50km in under 4h. A couple of days after marrying the love of my life last month, we also did the Goggins challenge. Ticked that off. 😁

I absolutely love the running channel ❤ i started running in April. Before then I used to say I hated running and couldn't run from one lamppost to the next. I now love running and am training to do a half marathon in October. I did a new 5k pb of 26.40 on Saturday with the support of my amazing husband.

    Thanks guys.
    My problem is tactics.
    When to 'go for it'
Very often, it's far too soon.
I never look at my watch
I will definitely be using this as a part of my Parkrun training.
Thanks again, and well done everyone! 👍

Not gonna lie, but that Puma kit is looking good. Needs a running cap, though.
My personal goal is to hit sub-20 5km. I plateaued at 22:04 and will be making a few modifications to my workouts.
    Again, great job everyone!

I'm working towards a sub-60 minute 10k in September, then my first half marathon with no time goal in January. I only started running properly in February and want to prove that an older overweight non-runner can achieve their running goals with consistency, determination and trusting the process.

Finished a few minutes behind Mo at MK, so the big goal is still that iconic 3hr marathon.
I've since added Pumas to my rotation and I'm loving them - Velocity Nitro 2 for everyday use; Deviate Nitro Elite for race day.
