The ghoul NCR can still use weapons such as combat knifes, this is unique for a feral. This makes me believe they are not completely feral yet but are suffering from something similar to PTSD and that's accelerating there decent into insanity.
Kraftwerk pop-muzik marked men are like ghouls, not sure if feral or not, and the giant sandstorms there have ripped their skin of, leaving them "marked"
+Josh H - The way you're looking at it is binary, either feral or not, but going feral is a process - it doesn't just happen instantly. What Mr. Crow is trying to say is that the NCR ghouls are the game's way of showing us a mid-point in that process.
'We will all go together' is probably a refrance to the great and very funny song 'we will all go together when we go'. Featureing such line as 'we will all fry together when we fry'.
Oh boy time to make an original comment that'll earn a comment from Jon. *looks up British jokes* ooh look a sports one... *ahem* What's the difference between England and a tea bag? The tea bag stays in the cup longer. BADUM SSSHHH!
I can't wait til Jon does Dead Money and Lonesome road because I want to see the Legion Rep dialogue with Ulysees I never seen it before because I always go for a NCR or Vegas route
@David James he's not vilified, only deemed a terrorist. If you look at 1:25 when he's explaining the reputation stuff, he's actually a "Wild Child" according to the NCR's reputation meter.
My preferred disguise is always the NCR Engineer Jumpsuit. It's super lightweight and trivially easy to acquire from the store room that's literally on the ground floor of the Hoover Dam Visitors' Center. I usually trade out whatever heavy NCR armor I stole in Primm immediately after Boulder City Showdown.
There are also irradiated food and drink items in Mesquite Mountain Crater, the irradiated pools and shack north of the Mojave Outpost. I'd imagine they're in a couple of the other more irradiated locations as well, though they were certainly inconsistent. I seem to remember there being some in Coyote Mine but that might be dirty water, which I also never take.
Jon, I'm a wee bit disappointed by the fact that you missed a unique (albeit not the most powerful melee weapon) version of the fire axe, the "Knock-Knock"...
@@lubbdaayes but 3 has shrapnel looking for his long lost lover, wandering across the wastes and shooting everything in his path if you choose to enslave flak.
9:57 If you have Wild Wasteland, those 2 Mini Nukes become 3 Holy Hand Grenades, which are the only ones available and one of, if not, the most Is the most powerful weapon in the game
So... you forgot about the unique variant of the fire axe in the fire station? As well as the regular fire axes that can be found there! I am quite surprised about that
One of my favorite things about NV is how it sticks with FO1 and 2. Especially the music. UHhhhhhhhh, I love the soundtrack of FO1,2, and NV so, so much.
First time I've played this game I just used my self as a bait so the ncr ghoul troopers would follow me to those guys so they would kill them for me, didn't even know there was such quest. Now that I think about it it's quite funny 😂😂😂 (5:30)
Jon your by far my favorite UA-cam channel keep it up!! I watch pretty much all your videos. sad to see fallout 4 come to an end :( but now we get Skyrim !!
Hey Jon; maybe the reason that first sergeant Astor doesn't want to kill the ghouls is because they were troopers before, and maybe even friends of his
35:56 - That goes down as one of, if not the most satisfying shotgun kill I've ever seen. Sometimes the ragdolls in NV can be a little plain, but when they're good, they're _really_ good. Miiight have made me cackle like a psychopath for a bit longer than appropriate, but my point still stands.
In regards to town setups: in rural America, it's not uncommon for churches or fire/police stations to be located miles away from the nearest town. It doesn't necessarily make sense logistically, but it does happen frequently. I believe the logic is to separate the emergency services from communities in cases of larger disasters. There are also shops on their own on a lot of otherwise empty roads.
Hello Jon. Im a little sad you didnt mention Knock Knock (unique fire axe at the fire station in Searchlight) Also you missed a Grognak the Barbarian book in the Hidden supply cave (on one of the wooden crates as i remember) :P Anyways, thx for the new episode and for the series, inspired me to play again NV months ago :)
The railroad in New Vegas does kind of correspond with the actual railroad network in the Las Vegas area. That is thanks to the Sloan quarry being real of course. And although I am unsure if the railroads actually go directly through any crushing plants, crushing plants are fairly close to the rail lines, presumably so it can be trucked quickly. Although never seen in game, in lore, the railroads are operational and used by the NCR.
I think the name "We Will All Go Together" is a reference to the Tom Lehrer song We Will All Go Together When We Go. The song is about how we're all die when the bombs drop.
In this specific case it may be the best solution. Ghouls having an own unit with just other ghouls. If someone goes feral he won't attack the others because they're ghouls too. If there's mixed units the humans would be attacked if a ghoul goes feral.
Private Edwards does make it to Camp Echo. Not sure why he wasn't there when you went looking. And there is actually a pre-quest that sends you to Searchlight to go do Wheel of Fortune. But I don't remember who sends you to do it. I just remember them being up towards Camp McCarren or NV somewhere.
the one thing that doesn't make sense about the rail network is the fact that it crosses bumpy, hilly ground without cuttings or embankments. Maybe time constraints meant they couldn't implement the necessary heightmap changes
Fun facts about Searchlight: former Senate minority leader Harry Reid was born in raised in Searchlight, as was William H. Nellis, namesake of Nellis Air Force Base.
Get ede, go to old lady Gibson. Wait a few days, talk to the scientist in helios one. BoS will contact you, then followers of the apocalypse when you get close to hidden valley. You've an option for either BoS or followers to examine and upgrade ede. BoS will improve his armour or followers will give him an alien blaster type weapon. Would recommend the second.
27:30 Train tracks might follow a sensible route but they aren't sensible themselves when you consider trains need good level tracks, they can't climb anything.
a lot of people hate on fo4 for having the same ending 3/4 times but the battle for hoover dam IS the same battle albe it with dif combatants depending on what you did again 3/4 times its the same thing unless you run with the leagon
Aren Sereathy You're right, is not like the decisions you made throughout the game spawning multiple well thought out side quests related to the major factions in Vegas affect who lends a hand in Hoover Dam. I guess it is the same being able to literally drown the invading Legion during Eureka!, having to restore control over the Dam to House/Yes Man during All or Nothing/No Gods No Masters... And I guess it also doesn't matter that New Vegas gave you closure on what happened to everyone whose lives you affected (even by ommision), no I guess it's the same as having your ending slide be decided by whether you are male or female and whether or not you decided to blow up a faction so badly written that his leader contradicts himself with his last request regarding his synth replica just because Bethesda wanted to hammer home "Synths are people too, you guys!"
It makes sense that 1Sg Astor wants you to go into Searchlight and kill the ghouls instead of his men. You are no friend of the NCR, BUT you have helped them in the past. If you take into account the tone of Astor's voice, it adds to the believability that he doesn't want you there, but you can take care of his problem. I know, all would be the same under any other circumstance, like if Jon was still idolized by the NCR, but for this run, it makes sense. Btw, if you want Pvt. Edwards to have a happy ending, you need to start with a massage. I know he is all ghouly and rotting, but I hear he "tips" well. ;)
ooooh, San Onofre is a nuclear power plant here in California :D not in use anymore but it would make sense in an atomic-based society or in the NCR to send their waste somewhere away from large populations, like California :)
I am glad Jon is doing more quests instead of just ending the game. I think he messed up a bit in the order of things, getting too far dowm the Legion questline before finishing NCR quests. But I am glad that he hasn't rushed the end because of it. Even though there is the green filter, I do like Searchlight. Still, my first time doing Astor's quest was really annoying. GAMER THEORY JON IS A GORLOCK???????? UNDERTALE CONFIRMED
nope just normal gouls set to hostile being norms for a way to tell what ones have the dog tags
why would they be hostile if not feral
Kraftwerk pop-muzik marked men are like ghouls, not sure if feral or not, and the giant sandstorms there have ripped their skin of, leaving them "marked"

Patrolling the subscriptions panel almost makes me wish for another MATN Fallout: New Vegas video...
Oh, there it is!
Dog Tags often include blood types- I'd imagine that Edwards would an updated set with his new AB-238 blood
In hospital for pneumonia amongst other reason , and still find the time to watch Jon's videos. thank you for spreading the gaming cheer.
I like how the Comms officer took the time to type the three dots at the end of his log entry while he was getting irradiated.
Saving Private Edwards
Emery Tharp yes so much yes
Saving Edward's privates.
'We will all go together' is probably a refrance to the great and very funny song 'we will all go together when we go'. Featureing such line as 'we will all fry together when we fry'.
The two Legion Mongrels outside of Searchlight, maybe the same legion Mongrels from outside Nipton.
First Sergeant Astor: "Alright, I'll give him *a* *shot* ."
When I heard that I imagined him saying that with a slight undertone and an evil wink.
No no, he means a shot like an opportunity
TBH so did I though
"I'm determined this man gets a happy ending, damn it."
Jon. King of the Sound Bites.
The Saint literally read your comment as he was saying it lol
The Saint lmaooooo 😂😂 thanks for the laugh 3 years later
Is this the quickest someone has died in an episode? RIP Sergeant McGee
For anyone who didn't catch the reference. "We will all go together." Is reference to a song. "We will all go together when we go" by Tom Lehrer
The overwhelming majority of quests in the base game are named after songs.
Oh boy time to make an original comment that'll earn a comment from Jon.
*looks up British jokes* ooh look a sports one...
*ahem* What's the difference between England and a tea bag?
The tea bag stays in the cup longer. BADUM SSSHHH!
Top Hat Wanderer hahaha the England football team is a joke
Top Hat Wanderer sick burn brah.
The sniper perk in fallout 4 can give you a similar effect to 'And stay back' by putting the scope on the combat shotgun
do it with a rifle with unlimeted like the wazer wifle and you can perma stun mobs like with the harvester except it takes ammo
theDefault but you need to aim down the scope
Frisbie147 that I didn't know
I can't wait til Jon does Dead Money and Lonesome road because I want to see the Legion Rep dialogue with Ulysees
I never seen it before because I always go for a NCR or Vegas route
hope he trys to get villifyed be the ncr to do the non-cannon deadmoney ending
Aren Sereathy yeah I hope he shows that as well
Aren Sereathy He already is vilified
@David James he's not vilified, only deemed a terrorist. If you look at 1:25 when he's explaining the reputation stuff, he's actually a "Wild Child" according to the NCR's reputation meter.
Aren Sereathy what ending is that? I dont know dead money off by heart
The other church basement in Searchlight is where you find Holy Frag Grenades in place of the mini nukes if you have Wild Wasteland. :)
S T O P, Before commenting about him missing the fire axe, consider the fact that every second fucking comment says the same thing
I LOVED THE AND STAY BACK CUTS, WHERE YOU JUST CUT TO YOU SHOOTING THE SHIT OUT OF PEOPLE.

It's super lightweight and trivially easy to acquire from the store room that's literally on the ground floor of the Hoover Dam Visitors' Center. Jon, I'm a wee bit disappointed by the fact that you missed a unique (albeit not the most powerful melee weapon) version of the fire axe, the "Knock-Knock"...
The "Here's Johnny" Weapon... Would've been kind of perfect for Jon(ny).
Knock knock
- Who's there?
Unique fire axe.
Jonathan Gréen one of the better complaints in this comment section.
6 different endings just for one small character, that's the difference between NV and Fallout 4
To be fair, Fallout 3 wasn't much better, it's just that NV is the best.
Glitshy yeah, but NV is 2 years NEWER than FO3, FO4 however...
Indeed.
@@lubbdaayes but 3 has shrapnel looking for his long lost lover, wandering across the wastes and shooting everything in his path if you choose to enslave flak.

Who's there?
Its John ...
CENA!!!
I mean, the Train tracks in 76 are also useful for traversing the map
I love that when Jon gets startled (specifically by golden geckos) he just exclaims that it's fine.
anyone see when it said evolved centaur on screen at 27:35
Austin Jones i think those actually exist, and not quite rare
he was simply using stealth boy
26:15. The location of the train tracks makes sense but that slope most definitely does not. Looks more like a roller coaster
perfect end to my Sunday night ! love it as always
Calling them zombies is offensive, come on Jon!
Hi Jon, Thanks for making great videos!
I remember using Searchlight as a Base in one of my role-playthroughs. Who's gonna wander into a irradiated town full of Ghouls? Noone!
So... you forgot about the unique variant of the fire axe in the fire station? As well as the regular fire axes that can be found there! I am quite surprised about that
Can't wait for Jon to get to Dead Money, it's my favorite DLC in the game and has some pretty darn cool stuff to show off.
One of my favorite things about NV is how it sticks with FO1 and 2. Especially the music. UHhhhhhhhh, I love the soundtrack of FO1,2, and NV so, so much.
you can find more irradiated food stuffs in the doctor's house near Primm on the edge of the map.
In the searchlight fire station there is a unique version of the fire axe, called "Knock Knock"
First time I've played this game I just used my self as a bait so the ncr ghoul troopers would follow me to those guys so they would kill them for me, didn't even know there was such quest.

Jon, are you planning on tackling Dead Money, and if so, when can we expect that to occur?
He's doing all the DLC.
well, complimentary to the name of the DLC, he will be very.. Dead
If i remember correct according to his patron cast he wont. But he may do a challenge run for dead money.
Samuel Weiss aww, that's my favorite DLC, and there's so much in it that Jon can show off. A real shame if true.
Just wanted to say I can't believe it's been 4 years since this was released, makes me feel old

aww I was hoping he would grab the knock knock and chop them up like a wild maniac
3:18 Gunshot sounds from the right. Jon turns to the left. What?
I always ended up going to searchlight when I played
Jon, for a Fallout 4 run try no VATS, it would give an interesting twist and force you to play differently
No special challenge, would be boring imo, just a regular playtrough with a little changed

you forgot the ending where you can get him and a group of ferals to go attack Aster and his partol.
I mean come on, that shit was fun!
you also missed Knock-Knock.
come on dude.
Waiting patiently for him to finally tackle Dead Money in this play through. Feel like thats the DLC I know the least about.
