I'm not disappointed I'm smoking, well smoldering, ok, mildly miffed of white getting taken off the menu for the updated service cart and I'm going to hold my breath till they fix this glaring omission. Also new tools!

Update #2: Official word from HF Corporate. They claim that the white was not canceled and has only been delayed but we know the truth! We did it my Tool Bear Brothers and Sisters, we have brought Big Affordable Tool to it's knees!!!

They’re not only used for tool shops. Some people buy carts for things like tattoo shops, kitchens, offices, some real technical and organized engineering where the workshops aren’t as messy.
Way to assume that the toolboxes/service carts are only used in auto repair shops. I own a custom woodworking business and use the white & yellow 1, 4, and 6 drawer service carts depending on the commissioned piece tools I need. Also, you might try touring through an NHRA or NASCAR shop, you can eat off the floors, even in the engine shop, and everyone is clean enough to be able to talk with fans and take pictures
high end technical specialists and tuner shops are surgical.

You know thieves just might start breaking into HF stores... They days are coming where you can't safely leave you HF tools in the back of your truck.

they really need to offer all of the U.S. General stuff in unassembled bare metal , that way those of us who want our own color can Powder Coat or Cerakote it what ever color we want.
Maybe primed for the boat ride.
I know of a few UA-camrs that would like to see the bare metal get some natural patina on the boat trip and then put a clear coat sealer over it.
I think HarborFreight just went DEI, which means all of the colors except “white“.
I feel your pain on this one. I'm a fan of white, I've had numerous White cars and will continue to have white cars in the future. I have a 56" Icon roll cab with stainless top and hutch, and it killed me not to be able to get it in white. Full transparency though, I have a US General 5 drawer cart that I push all over my shop, and that's in Orange. My second favorite color.
I really wished ICON did white, Actually I wish ICON did all of the US General Colors ways. It would just kick them up a notch.

That Bauer 14" bandsaw looks like it will be epic. If this is a rebadged Rikon for $400, it will be a steal.

I watched South Main Auto use the Icon diagnostic tool, he was surprised it did a function none of his other scanners do.

I miss old us general prices. Wish I knew better back then and would have outfitted my garage. Obviously, in all white.
I was thinking no one bought white so they discontinued it. I can't keep anything clean and I don't even work on that much stuff. I'm boycotting for at least the next 10 minutes in solidarity because I usually just get whatever color is in the store.

I just got the purple 5 drawer and saw the new cart while I was accessorizing. I hope they do that in purple arty some point. I know right where to put it, lol.
Seriously though, for my needs, the 5 drawer is hands down the nicest and best quality and value they I could find. It went together pretty easy. The only thing that I will change is to replace the fixed casters with locking swivel casters. I called customer service and they don't currently have matching black caters for gen 3 carts just yet, but they said that they are coming.
4 swivel casters would make it perfect for small shops.
My gripe with the Harbor Freight cabinets is I’ve standardized my workshop on the 32” tall models from Craftsman and Husky. The cheap ones with two drawers and a cubby. They all fit under my work tables and out feed tables. But Harbor Freight doesn’t offer models any that short.
Too funny! I can't imagine buying a white toolbox, but to each their own!
I think having multiple colors in the tool cabinet line has to add huge cost in the amount of inventory each store has to carry.
The price on the 72 is wild the 56 is not a bad price, considering you would pay about $700 for an extra few inches, and the side locker is bigger for only $400. So I got the 56 top and bottom with the side cabinet for under what the 72 cost.
That new Bauer scroll allows painless scroll saw allowing smaller blade use. If it is available, I would suggest the Pegas self tensioning blade chuck. I think on the Bauer, will be serious of the longevity of the tool, how will is do with a lot of use. It needs to hold up if compared to the Dewalt.
Personally I do not own any large tool boxes, I just do not have the room, but that white is sharp.

SInce January, I've been putting together a new toolbox in white. Got two 42s bolted to a 27 in the center. Waiting for coupons to buy some top boxes. My friend keeps razzing me that before I finish buying boxes, HF will no longer be making them in white.....
Just a thought, the all white cart would be a good fit for medical and food service uses. I've seen other tool cabinets being used in medical clinics.
I liked seeing the new ICON tools that you shared. What I would LOVE to see is brake disc lathe so that I could turn brake rotors on the vehicle like what they sell on the "Rip Off" trucks... Maybe you could share this and possibly get some intel on that...
Eric O at South Main Auto was sent that OBD2 scan tool to try. He's an Autel guy . His last video he was fixing a Ford pickup for a bunch of issues. Turns out to be the green crusties/broken wire. One code would not go away though, wrong VIN ABS module. He was about to go to the online Ford pay service to rewrite the VIN. Just for the heck of it he used the function on this new scan tool, and it worked. I think this is a Think Tool scanner.
I believe Eric said it was made by Launch. Wrenching with Kenny likes his launch scanner. I'd like to get one for personal vehicle use but am confused by the number of different launch scanner and now icon is another...
I bought my first HFT stuff back in 2008, when they were new in the area and quality was ... suspect. Over the years bought more, little by little, and have always been happy as a DIYer. They now seem to be in the right place, at the right time to capture market share as once Mighty Craftsman seems to be almost dead, despite weak efforts to keep it on life support. All that brand has going for it is nostalgia from Old Timers.

I just picked up my first tool box after buying a new place that has a garage. I got the 5 drawer mechanics cart in slate gray and it is amazing for the DIY person. Will definitely upgrade to a big boy one day but that 5 drawer for $200 was a steal

Nothing a couple cans of Krylon can't fix.
I purchased the blue cart and was confused as the logo was black I did not even know they were up to series 3, but I will say the white with chrome accents looks amazing. Hopefully they will see the error of their ways and will beg for mercy once they start feeling the "Den of Pain".

I bought a scroll years ago. I thought it would add some extra capabilities for the shop. I barely used it. But one Fall day I decided to stack some thin wood to make ornaments for the Christmas tree. I spent all morning cutting the ins & outs of 6 pieces. I was barely 1/2 way finished when my wife asked if I wanted to go to the store with her. I was tired of staring at the tiny blade going up/down, so I went. In the front entry of Target was a huge display of wooden ornaments. They were 50¢ each or 3 for a dollar. I went home, crushed the ornaments in my hand, sold the saw on Craigslist and never looked back. Haha. Thx.

HF makes some great spray guns, tools to take it apart, surface prep tools, etc. Get the paint of your choice and presto! Change O! you have a white service cart. Easy peasy...
They do not offer accessories like towel holders in all the colors either. Wouldn't it make sense to have them in all the colors?

HF sent one of the Icon T10 to South Main Auto. Very nice machine. I would have to say it is already outperforming the other big name diagnostic tools.
A few cans of your favorite brand of white spray paint will produce a one of a kind tool cart.

To play devils advocate, the reason they may have limited colors is to save money. For every color option they have cost more in the manufacturing. Especially when it’s a least popular tool box. I feel the frustration if they made an icon box in the slate gray I would buy a whole setup in a heart beat (snap on may win my wallet yet again on that one). One thing I would love to see is the US general box accessories to be made in all the colors, but for now they are pretty limited.
They only have so much storage i the back and have you noticed the disappearing oddball tools ? Besides, they only sold one of those white tool boxes....

I gotta say here I miss the old Harbor Freight. It was dirty, messy and you never knew what they would have 20-30 years ago. It was also kind of an insider secret place to shop. Now they are everywhere, and opening new stores all the time and in fancy places. I just miss it.

The Harbor freight North Olmsted Ohio Has the white cart at $129 listed on their website. You have to look carefully at the color choices. The white is on the end of the row of colors.
How about a HF version of the one M18 tool that tempts me? The framing nailer. Bauer or Hercules would be fine.

That new under hood work table looks great. It looks identical to the K Tool International version so Im hoping they'll release more colors soon.
I bought a toolbox on the last parking lot sale. When I asked the cashier what colors were in stock, he apologized for only having it in white 😂. I was like "perfect, bring it out"
Maybe it was selling enough to justify continuing the color option. I would never get something white for a workshop since it would be hard to keep clean

The official name was industrial arts. Unit 1 was woodworking, 2 was metal work, and 3 was welding / foundry.
Your out on this one. I'm not in the food industry. I didn't gafk that there's no "White" options. I still love my "03" Harley. Im not shooting it, I'm not blowing it up. Rant and rave all you want. Harbor freight is still the best deal around.
