We have this same camper and enjoy it. The A/C is not ideal, making this camper more of a 3 season unit, especially in TN where we live. The biggest pluses for us is the low cost and ease of set-up.
The fridge on this 2020 model does not run on the battery (120 volt only). Some people take this fridge out and use the area for camp kitchen storage. Then they carry a high quality cooler in their tow vehicle that they’ll then set outside in their camp area. I’ll make a video of how we convert that area soon. We have not gotten wet in a hard rain.
Researching this unit so it was nice to stumble on your walk through! Odd question - if you really wanted to, could you sleep with the top down to really seal out the weather if it was horrendous outside? And then awkwardly shimmy from the bed and push it back up in the morning with your legs or back? I realize the latches are on the outside so you'd need to rig something for the inside. Just curious if it would be possible. Thanks for your video and enjoy!
Could you do it? Yes. Would you like it? NO! I shut ours with me inside it and it's not good. You're right about the latches. I'd be afraid that someone would lock me in.
We've had no problem with ours getting wet on the inside during some pretty intense storms or with putting it away wet. As said, give it a good shake and it's fine.
I saw some reviews about the AC not cooling, not sure where you camp at but any truth to that? Can you lower the hatch while you are inside to keep the cold/warm air in? Also are the jacks necessary to keep trailer level, do they come with the vehicle?
Only good to about 90 degrees. Not much room if you close it while inside. We’ve since switched to the Express 9.0 and do fine with the screen windows open for ventilation.
This year modrl is better than the 2022-23. The newer models shortened the tent/window surround which I do not like. The vista and airflow is greatly reduced.
With that said, the 2021 tenting is attached so no velcroing (sp), and kept the same size tenting. Makes it much easier to set up, especially in the rain.
Thank you for sharing your experience. Happy camping!
Thank you for the video. I'm torn between one of these and the A-Liner Ranger 10. I really appreciate the walk through. Have Fun!!
So am I… what did you decide on? Thanks!
@@lindaking1638 we actually switched directions and got an AT Overland Atlas for our Tacoma pickup.

We bought ours in early 2019 and it's been trouble free and a lot of fun to camp with.
Enjoyed your video , please make more , I want one.
Looks pretty cool! Thanks for the look see!
If you leave door open, canvas won't pop out when you close top.
Thank you for the video, I just purchased on of these. I should see it about a month.
Rian, have you received yours yet? How do you like it?
great info, thanks. how long does frig run on battery power? does interior get wet in hard rain?

@@lovewoodcampfires9205 Thanks!
Very nice ! What type of portable generator do you have for boon-docking ??
We haven’t had to use one yet. Our goal is to go with solar as our power needs are minimal.
@@davidhelsius5394 Thanks, enjoy !!

I’ve thought about this myself. It could be done. You would need to install a D ring or something to tie the pull down strap to.

When is pouring rain and you put the top down does the inside get wet?
If you shake the canvas first, it isn’t too bad.

I wonder if I'll be able to pull it with my VW Golf?
I hear it comes just over 1000lbs dry weight. Safest bet would be no, as most cars are 1000lbs or less.
Have you had any of the canvas leak ?
No
