It is still extremely funny that their first part "what's astrobot, is that even going to ship" ended up being the answer to their "what is Sony even bringing to the table, the cinematic games are tapped out" The solution is a Japanese game because of course it is, weebs stand triumphant
The first segment (with the mock-up military funeral background) is why I found and subscribed to Gigaboots. Following Xbox's closure of Tango Gameworks, I scoured the internet for an answer as to what happened, and Gigaboots were the only people who had a explanation for why it happened and how Xbox got here in the first place.
absolutely! This is why I also split at this moment to make this the start of part 2, the Pivotal moment of Xbox genuinely doing a devasting move where everyone can agree this was a terrible mistake.
1:38:21 I want to highlight this conversation, because exactly what the Gigabois didn't want ended up happening. Microsoft's summer conference regained it some lost ground despite everything it did a couple months beforehand. Like Aggro said earlier in this video or late in the last, this industry has been unable to learn anything for the past ten years. Unfortunately, it's gonna' take a failure even more publicly painful to drill in Kyle Bosman's "Xbox will never win" mantra. And like it or not, that's gonna' happen.
I was wondering when we were going to get to that first segment. As another comment noted, smart split right there. All the foreshadowing and "oh right, that happened" and "oh right, we really thought that" in the first part was fun to revisit, though. What a year.
I still dont agree with them on the Dead Rising Remake. It was basically a post grad project to get new hires fully understand the RE Engine by using a pretty simple game. Like its not that hard to get. Im also really glad Capcom didnt delist the original.

@mhee12 Yeah, I knew about Redfall, but I thought it was just a fluke. I had no idea how bad the situation at Xbox was until Tango got closed.
