Love seeing y'all react to all things America! In America, many religions co-exist together. It may not always be nice, but we aren't violent towards one another. I wish y'all would break down Islam through your eyes. Many Americans have one view of Islam and it unfortunately comes from Islamic terrorist videos from ISIS and the Taliban. We think of the beheadings of people for blasphemy, the drowning of prisoners in cages, the killing of gays, or the un-fair treatment of women. But, I know that those people are a small percentage of Muslims. To understand how y'all view Islam would be amazing! Keep doing what you're doing!

Most Americans don't have issues with Islam we have issues with the extremists there's a difference. And we have problems with some of the things they do like you know marrying underage women but I'm almost positive that's just for the extremist. I could be wrong but I like to think only the extremists do that.

Yes, I read Valerie Plame's book, Fair Game. Her husband was the man the US sent in to ascertain if Iraq had WMD. He told them they didn't, but they found some lame yellowcake excuse, and then he publicly exposed their lie and they went after him for it. Very interesting book. But you can dig even deeper. There is an interview with Aaron Russo where he talks to Alex Jones about his prior friendship with a member of the Rockefeller family, Nick Rockefeller. Aaron was told by him about a decade or so prior to the event, that they were planning the things that transpired in the war in the middle east. You'll have to find the interview, because if I go into more detail, this comment will perhaps not be seen.

One thing I recommend. I understand your reasons for blurring but I would use a different word than "degenerate." Even though it may be a normal translation from Arabic, it can have a strong negative connotation. Most often, it is used as an insult against others. In fact, in media it is often used by the Mafia as an insult to people of low quality. I would recommend saying "it's considered improper" or something to that effect.

Muslims have been here for a very long time. The Trade Center bombing and 9/11 attacks committed by Islamic extremists did, unfortunately, lead to a lot discrimination against the millions of decent, innocent Muslims in the country. It is not disimilar to people being weary about Japanese Americans after Pearl Harbor. I grew up in an area where we were exposed to many different religions and people from all over the world. We had off from school for Christian, Jewish and Muslim holidays. When you have a chance to learn about and experience a people and their culture, you very much realize that we are all the same. We want to be happy and healthy, without need. We want peace for our families and communities. P.S. Michigan has no shortage of water, it's surrounded by a few of the largest lakes in the world.

Fortunately, she has been coming around as I have been bringing around my Muslim friends and she has been getting to see how respectful and kind they are. But I grew up 30 miles from NYC and my mother knew several people who died on 9/11. Unfortunately our media blamed the religion as a whole rather than recognizing that it was a Wahabbist reaction to our involvement in the Middle East. Love and prosperity to both of you. A lot of college students in the US take a class as a general education requirement explaining the various world religions. This is the first introduction to Islam for a lot of folks and just covers the basics:
I think we spent 3-4 weeks on Islam. We briefly learned about Saudi Arabia during the early 7th century. Learned about the Prophet and the Qurʾān and studied several passages translated to English. We discussed the Sunnah, went over the holidays and five pillars, and discussed the major sects. We also had an older man who had converted to Islam through the Nation of Islam talk about his conversion and life. Finally, we had an Imam give us a tour of his mosque across the street from the university and talk with us about prayer, what Islam means to him, and the community they were building.

This was delightful to watch, guys. I'm a Christian, and have much respect for Islam and other faiths. When I was a little kid, my family moved to Indonesia, where I learned from the kind Muslims around us that kindness has no language. It's universal. And it certainly showed me that different faiths can live side by side in peace. My family was even invited to a Muslim wedding reception.
On an academic note, I find it interesting that the differences between Sunni and Shiite Muslims comes down to who should lead the faith, which is just like the big, main difference between the Lutheran (maybe Protestants too) denomination and the Catholics. Lutherans believe Jesus is the head of the Church, while Catholics believe in the Pope (who they believe has been appointed by God) to lead. While I respect the Pope, I don't see him as the final authority on our faith.
Speaking personally, I believe that, as long as Jesus is at the center of the faith, any church, regardless of denomination/sect, is just as good as another. Nobody is better or worse than anyone else. We have no right to judge.
Sorry for the long rant. Loved learning more about you guys and your faith.

I loved the video. The guy did exactly what everyone should do before you judge people: educate yourself, read a book, go in the communities and ask questions. My experience is that people can come from very different backgrounds including different religion but could still have the same values, hopes and dreams. People should be more open- how boring would this planet be if we would all be the same, do everything the same. Instead you can spend your whole life exploring different cultures, religions, countries and people even if it´s just through a book or the internet. And food- my love language. I love to try and cook new stuff.

Lovely video. You must realize that 9/11 was such a shock and so painful to us, and as a country we were hating the people we were told were responsible. All the videos of bin Ladin spewing hatred for our country and, when countries all over the world were reaching out in many ways to help New York City, we repeatedly saw the videos of men and boys in Palestine cheering and celebrating the attacks, yelling Death to America. (Yasser Arafat seemed quite sincere in condemning the attacks and the celebrations of the Palestinians in support of the attacks.) That's when the passage in the Quran which surprised you in another video, saying that non-Muslims must convert or be killed became known to most Americans. I admire and respect you, and hope you can understand this issue a little more.

You guys really do a great job of clarifying many things. Many misconceptions are fed by the media and the fear of radicalism, many other misconceptions are due to historical conflicts of Christianity and Islam, where for example the realtionships with the Ottoman Empire were complicated and both sides were very radical and treated each other very harshly.
As you saw for yourselves in other videos, historically in middle-east the Holy Quran was often quoted as "right and duty of a Muslim to pillage and enslave Christians as sinners". And on the other side the Holy Bible was used by Christians often equally badly (regarding Muslims as sinners for not regarding Jesus as divine etc.). Power struggles intermixed with religion, it does never any good, our religions stand on the same base, yet there were wars and struggles for centuries, even if our both main holy texts (Bible and Quran) teach us that we shouldn't do that. Jews were somewhat tolerated by Christian Europe, but there were difficulties, Jews were also frequently treated harshly.

Doctors say that the human body can go for 3 weeks without eating but can on go for 3 days without water. After 3 days, dehydration happens quickly, causing extreme thirst, fatigue, and ultimately, organ failure and death. A person may go from feeling thirsty and slightly sluggish on the first day with no water to having organ failure by the third day. Stay hydrated... water is life.

Many of the founding fathers were actually deists not Christians as people like to claim. We were founded on freedom of religion, the whole reason America was created was because people didn't want to be forced to follow Christianity by the church of England. I think it's unfair to say Muslims don't condemn these attacks, many do and there are so many hateful Christians and Jews. It doesn't do any good to judge a group of people by their worst followers no matter the belief system.

You were supposed to go without food and water for about 24 hours, at least once a month (usually the first Sunday). Sometimes an individual will do a longer fast, for various reasons. Example, one guy did a four day fast (plus lots of prayer) in preparation for a special event. And yes, that included not drinking water even during that longer fast.

The majority of Americans have no worries about what religion people are, what they look like.. only how they treat others and assimilate into the overarching American laws and customs. The media always exploits the extremes hating on the others extremes. Most of us don't care how the people of Islamic countries choose to live their life - we can pray for peace and democracy, but our way is not everyone's way. In my opinion, we should be completely isolationist (outside of trade) to the entire Islamic world and let them handle their own affairs the way they choose. The greater American values will never align completely with Islamic values, so we can have peace thru absence. Of course this may never happen because America will always be the #1 enemy, but it's a nice thought.

In the Bible, Christian women are encouraged to dress modestly and with soundness of mind, to focus on professing devotion to God by our acts of faith and good works; rather than on the styling of hair, or wearing expensive things for show; and to have deep respect for our husbands, being submissive to his head of the household..Also Christian men are given counsel to be wise and modest, patient, to show love and respect for not only their own families but their fellow man as well, for we are all . Not all Christians completely agree to live like this, but yet this is what we as followers of the teachings of Christ are instructed to do. And of course, it is God's instruction to mankind for us to treat one another with respect and compassion, but many people, no matter what faith we follow, just plain don't listen to God's wisdom; which is why our world is so messed up with war and greed and so on. Yeah, so...whoever invented short, tight, and revealing clothing wasn't thinking about helping men to keep their focus on the will of God. Sad but true.

I do believe that both men and women should respect of counsel, at the same time I also understand there are benefits in not fearing temptation,
but to grow strong when being challenged by temptation.
For indeed the spirit (will) is strong, but the flesh is weak, such a challenge in modern times in which flesh is seemingly everywhere.
In Christianity it was often practiced as self flagellation, or the mortification (Opus Dei) of flesh.
Whereas one surely believes they are to be judged for every action including of thought that is of a sin, and therefor to show how remorseful
one is by their actions or in thought they are deserving of self punishment, thus also accepting punishment for the sin by the Creator,
finding no fault in having two punishments.
The practice is a form of ultimate submission.
Thus in the Lord's Prayer, for it is written "lead us not unto temptation, but to deliver us from evil".
I find it quite remarkable that founders of the United States, via the individual states made it clear the Federal government could not establish
any one religion as being a national religion, nor to prohibit the free exercise of religion.
In the same it is made true that religion cannot be a religion if it's used to justify a trespass on another.
In modern times we call those "cults", in religions it is known as "false Religions".
Have you gentlemen seen this video?
I can't help myself, it still makes me laugh.

Some of our Muslim communities are very diverse. People from all countries, colors, and race. A mosque in my area has outreach events a few times a year to introduce the larger community to their cultures, values, food (always a winner in the States) along with a mosque tour and teaching people about religious practices. I think most rational people know crazy people or extremists do not represent the majority. When Christian sects murdered people who worked in women's health clinics, or sects that violated children, hardly Christian on any scale. Yes, Jewish people have lived in the States for very long time, but also experienced and currently experiencing significant anti-semitic conduct. The Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh massacre was an horrific example back in 2018.

From your definition of the difference between Sheite and Sunni, it is much the same as the difference in Catholics and other Christians, Catholics follow The Pope, whom they see as the embodiment of Christ on Earth, while other Christians do not. There are hundreds of different types of Christianity and they do not all agree with each other. Some interpret The Bible literally, some interpret it metaphorically, and for centuries, it was all only read, interpreted, and given to the masses through Catholicism, through priests who read their sermons in Latin, a language very few people understand, and during that time only clergymen were allowed to read and write, therefore they only knew what they were told instead of reading The Bible for themselves.

I studied Islam a long time ago along with other religions before I chose one (my parents never forced one on me). But if you would be offended to find out why I rejected it, then don't read further.
Here are my problems with the following religions I deemed false:
Judaism: they missed the arrival of their Messiah's first coming (But there is no way they will be able to miss his 2nd coming)
Mormonism: they follow a con-artist of a false prophet who was into occult Freemason concepts (the original mormon undergarments had Freemason symbols on them) and copied sections out of the English King James Translation including some errors of that translation. The history presented in The Book of Mormon is completely unsupported from Archaeology.
Buddhism: a mix of beliefs from ancient India, the belief system lacks a solid connection to reality, and their openness to spirits make them targets of demons. They do have some good morals and an awareness of the spiritual world, but not true knowledge of the spiritual world. This is most easily seen in conversion stories to Christianity where meditation or other practices led to demonic involvement and Christianity solved that problem for them.
Confucianism: this is more a philosophy mixed with the current spiritual ideas of its time of inception along with traditions built up over time. Thus i view it as man's thoughts.
Occultism: be it wicca, new age, santeria, palm readers, voodoo, or other, these religions unknowingly (but sometimes knowingly) bring people into involvement with demons whom they usually call spirits or some other word. I have seen many Christian conversion stories where they realized those spirits were evil and against God.
Trinitarian Christianity: They often get a lot right about following the Bible, but they usually believe in the following false doctrines - the immortality of the soul, literal hellfire, the trinity, and that all righteous people go to heaven. I view them as similar to how Jesus spoke to the congregation of Pergamum at Revelation 2: 12-16. However, they are not exactly wrong entirely. If you remember, Jesus prophesied that Christianity would have false teachers mix into it at Matthew 13: 24-30, 36-43. Jesus said to let the wheat (true Christians) grow with the weeds (false Christians) until the harvest (the time of the end), so that by pulling out the weeds they wouldn't pull out the wheat along with it. But the time of the end is fast approaching for "the harvest."
Islam: (again, please don't be offended, this is simply my research, and if you think I'm wrong, tell me how) The beliefs for Islam are not entirely found in the Quran (unlike the Bible where you can practice it without outside knowledge), the Quran requires the Hadith and Sunnah to be fully followed. And in the Hadith and Sunnah we learn that Mohammed at first thought Gabriel was a demon, and his wife had to convince him it was not. Even then, Mohammed kept thinking it was a demon and tried to kill himself multiple times before deciding to be its prophet. In the Bible, angels never would "squeeze" a prophet and be forceful as Mohammed's "Gabriel" was. And Jesus warned that there would be false prophets, and that we would recognize them by their fruits - what things they produce. Sure Mohammed was peaceful during his time in Mecca, but the part of the Quran written in Medina is the opposite. It was after this time that the orders were to subjugate the world to sharia. After the fall of the caliphate, the tactic has been to preach the Meccan peacefulness in areas islam does not govern, and once they have the numbers and power, to switch to the Medina verses of conquest by the sword. But besides this, there is more. Christianity has this problem too. It is hard to walk the narrow path of uprightness. You could become too lenient or too harsh, either extreme is bad. While woke Christianity goes to the extreme of leniency, the fundamentals of Islam go to the extreme of harshness - to even say that modesty means a woman must be completely covered (if you have seen Ali-Dawah's "whiteboard" video, he doesn't even allow his wife to speak with her voice because he considers her voice part of her beauty that must be covered. She has to write things on a whiteboard to him). However, our skin is meant to be in the sun, that's how we get Vitamin D. And we communicate a lot through the tone of our voice and facial expressions. Satan doesn't care if we go one way or the other, as long as we leave the path. The most blatant part though is the permissiveness for men. They can have 4 wives whom they can divorce at any time by saying a word 3 times. They can also practice temporary marriage, both sunni and shia, although some believe this was not so, the hadith vary on whether it was later outlawed by Mohammed or not. And lastly, it allows for sex slaves, "female captives in your possession" (Quran 4: 24). Compare this to what the Bible says, that sex is only between a married man and woman (1 Timothy 3: 2), and that divorce is only appropriate if a spouse commits adultery (Matthew 19: 3-9).
I know the last section is long, but I thought because you're muslim I would go into more detail. There is yet more I could add. Again, my intent is not to bash your religion, I am simply giving my understanding of what is true and what is false. I am only human, as is my ability to understand and my ability to judge.

What I do find interesting is how defined specific a particular religious sect is overwhelmingly predominant
depending on the location, in the middle east.
While Iran is considered Persian by dafault making up between 51% - 65% of it's population, it's also reported that about
40% of it's population do not speak Persian.
    Iran is 99.4% Shia Muslims.
While Saudi Arabia ethnically are made up of Arabs, Afro-Arabs, and Asian expatriates, all of course which speak Arabic.
Saudi Arabia being 85% - 90% Sunni Muslims.
As I recall this has a lot to do with the differences in beliefs regarding who is recognized as somewhat ordained after
    After Muhammed earthly death.
As his ascension took place before his death known as, The night journey and ascension of the Prophet Muhammad took place.

Just to clarify... The difference between Christianity and Islam when it comes to Jesus, is that while they do believe in Him, they see Him as a mortal man and a prophet, in the same way as Moses and Abraham, etc. Like the Jews, they do not believe that He is the begotten Son of God.

Lebanon thought like Tommy G. They helped the Palestinians and let the Palestinian refugees in even when Islamic nations didn't. And for their kindness they were repaid with 15 years of jen-o-side. It went from 70% Christian to less than half of that. And if it hadn't been for Israel, millions more would have died. Islam only feigns peace until they have enough for an army.

Whole purpose of fasting is not to eat meat (food coming from an once living being) for a period of time, so to cleanse body and spirit. Sorry, but as an Orthodox Christian I find fasting in Islam contradictory as Muslims don't eat during the day and eat at night (including meat) which defeats the whole purpose of it. But I understand - there's always contradictions in religion, there is such in Christianity, there is such in Islam, in Buddhism, etc.
