  • The Flashtail Roach is a proven pike catcher on my home waters. It's a very simple and quick tie using a mixture of natural and synthetic materials. Experiment by replacing the synthetics with Nayat (snow runner) to make an even more awesome fly.
    Material List:
Hook: Ahrex Light Predator PR351 6/0
Thread: Veevus 140 Power Thread in white
    White Bucktail
Flash Loop: Funky Ripple Flash in Pearl and Silver, Hedron Flashabou orange and Holo Silver
Funky Fibre in Silver Baitfish Back, smoke, white and orange
    Eyes: Jerkbaitmania Predator Eyes 12mm

Super great Roach tie :) Will try that kinda of fly this evening for Monday next week :)!
Next time, a downside with your video - It's impossible without headphone to hear what you are saying, please turn the audiobar up in next edit :)!

Excellent tutorial video and a great looking fly m8. Was just wondering is there a particular place you get your materials from, looking for the long hanks of sparkle/holographic.

Oldie that vid. For super long hanks try Nordic Anglers. Daniel D Holm stocks Hedron Flashabou and his own brand.
