It seems like MacOS has more to benefit from Linux then the other way around. When Linux wins they share their win with everyone else through open source, meanwhile when MacOS wins Apples investors get to have their stock increase in value. If you want to support a true Windows alternative then you should support Linux and massive distros like Debian.
100% true we should vote for Linux instead. But in this case I don't care if Apple investors winning or losing, I just wish games to be more compatible with WINE and less dependent on Windows. Just make everything cross-platform friendly and let people decide on their OS of choice.
@Noodles1922 AI-authored code cannot be admitted into most Linux projects, as far as I'm aware (nevermind the fact that AI isn't a constraining factor).
1) It would be great if you could list your sources in the video description. 2) There are further reasons that prevent the success of Mac Gaming: - No 32-bit support - No Vulkan (API) support - No OpenGL (API) support - No possibility to change / upgrade your own HW
This video has a vibe like you are sitting in a Japanese heaven-like meditation garden and watching content about Mac Gaming. Very calm explanation why Mac Gaming SUCKS. LOL
Not really, the 2020 Intel iMac with the i9, 5700XT, and over 16GB of ram can get you to 70 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077 at 1440p High. And on eBay these things sell for incredible prices. I think gaming on a Mac has never been better! This video would have been accurate if it was posted 5 years ago. But things have gotten much better since M1.
It's so sad, like they can do it, the mac can do it, but they prefer making life difficult for consumers. Game porting toolkit could be the savior, with tweaks, easiness to use, but they don't do any more efforts. Mac are more powerful than steam deck, but steam deck has the backup of open source devs and Valve.

@@yoyosan999 I would agree with you if MacOS wasnt tied to expensive and unrepairable hardware

Apple dropped the gaming ball multiple times in regards to its personal computers despite multiple opportunities over the years to gain market share.

It is interesting that Apple developed Metal before Vulkan existed. Naturally they want to stay with Metal.
The way he talks somehow feels like some great tragedy happened 😅
...well he's talking about mac gaming...
You have no idea how I feel when editing.

It’s been better for sure. But meanwhile Linux gaming has become so much better.
that's when you could also side load Windows.
Unless I got support to get a Mac I wouldn't consider making an indie game for Mac. I can't test it.
I hate the youtubers who are apple shills. "Try gaming on M3 Mac. Its super fast". Yea on like games published in 2010
Yeah it's one thing when the average Mac user gets excited about a big game released for macos but if you are a "gamer" or "tech UA-camr" come on...
This isn’t new news…

🤦♂️ a Steam Deck is not a computer.
@@evacody1249 I'm typing this on my steam deck. I use it every day the desktop mode
@@evacody1249 I'm currently typing this on my desktop mode of my SD
I only use that as a PC now
this is just the beginning it will improve over time

Great video!❤
Thank you so much!
