We probably have the technology. I mean bio stimulation has been done before on animals. It’s just that we don’t have that big of a power source to produce enough biofuel and electricity to power it. Biofuels are a renewable source but it uses carbon dioxide which collides with pollution problems. Even if we got there, scientists would still have to learn how to rewire the nervous system to respond to reactive stimuli not created from nerves. And then you go into bioengineering which takes in the factors of creating the chip so it is compatible with human chemicals, the ones in our body that are gastric, natural, and reproduced. We can do the technology, it’s just a long stretch and with where we are right now with science and biotechnology along with economical issues, it’s just not really possible to create it. But it is possible, we do have the resources to do it.
Abdikadir Abdiwahid It’s pretty good. You realize that every piece of technology has had problems in the past. If you explained to colonists that phones would be created one day, they would ask the same question. The answer you are looking for is in bio engineering. That’s how Curtis would be even able to do this. Everything in this situation is playing with biofuel technology. They created an iPhone. They’ve also created biotic arms that can sense neurons in the body so it can lift normal like it’s a normal arm even though part is a metal replacement. It is possible. If it wasn’t, I would not even put this out there. I’m not dumb. Though as I said we don’t have the technology yet to completely do this and this will most certainty take a long time. The mechanics of the chip is very similar to Roy Harper’s biotic arm
Facts. I have a friend who has a walking disability and can't walk without crutches. (Chances are this will be his life for at least another half decade.) I'd pay for him to have this if I could.
Maybe my fav scene in the series. Curtis, like Ray, always using his genius to help the world without a second thought. And in this case it just happened to be a dear friend. And how badass was it that the invention he designed that's going to help save Palmer Tech (the battery) was merely a step in his journey to finish this one! Very good scene and series of events.
imagine getting a gift to literally be able to walk again, just for your ex-fiance to see it for the first time in action when his love life is leaving. one hell of a story🤣🤣🤣
I wish this was so real, losing my functions below my waist has been so hard.Shows like this now are so hard to watch because of so much emotion that goes through the actors even if not real for them.
No one going to talk about how Curtis does his hair EVERY time they go do their thing like Oliver would be like Curtis go around the build but Curtis would be like wait im still doing my hair lol
Isn't it funny how a little bit later in the season when she was in the wheelchair talking to Oliver about splitting up the first thing she did when she got up was walking out on him lol
When I got to the part when falisity can’t walk I search up when she walks and no shit I was on the episode and they said “ hey guy “ AT THE SAME FUCKING TIME BRO 😹😜🤣😂
It is the wrong and worst part of the quick glance that the writers gave to the disability world, via the plot of Felicity (that was written and depicted quite well during the wheelchair episodes). They lost a big chance to tell the real life of the real wheelchair user, but it is understandable, it is just a TV show with different purposes.
I both loved and hated this. I loved the emotion of it, but I hated that they paralyzed Felicity, just for her to walk again a few months later. That should have been a longer-term storyline going over multiple seasons.
I hate to be the Negative Nancy here, but I hope it doesn't work. If it does, it confirms that the writers treated Felicity's disability as a plot device for cheap, incidental drama instead of a character trait that only makes the character more interesting and stronger.
I disagree. It's better if it works. This is the rise of Mr. Terrific. And I actually think if CW plays their cards right, the device working could be an advantage. Just think about it. Felicity is walking again, Oliver is waiting for her down the aisle, everyone's happy, and then whoever it is that's in that grave gets killed. Just when Ollie thought he could have some happy times, something comes along that completely ruins the moment. And besides let's be honest, CW are the kings of plot devices lol. Remember the episode of Flash where: SPOILER Zoom beat the crap out of Flash and at the end of the episode, Barry is like, I can't feel my legs. And then they very first thing we see the next episode, is Barry walking. Lol.
Dk Soulstice Your second paragraph is exactly why that choice hits a nerve with me. By immediately coming up with a way to "fix her", they're essentially saying that she's broken. Being in a wheelchair is not the end of the world (trust me, I'd know) and I personally feel that by making her injury a temporary thing, they're breaking down everything they've tried to build up with Felicity and making her into the multi-dimensional character we've come to love her as. Oliver even said when Felicity was in the hospital that he was going to deal with it...this is undoing it, not dealing with it. I don't know, maybe it's my personal bias towards these things, but it just doesn't sit well with me.
oh gosh, i cant understand how people like this stuff. dude literally developed a cure for body paralisis and wont sell it or make it public, this alone would help a ton more people than oliver shooting his mf'in arrows
www.digitalspy.com/tv/ustv/a26301038/arrow-mr-terrific-echo-kellum-curtis-holt-exit/ Reading an artical on Arrow to then see your upload lmao, cool! XD
" Curtis, you're terrific"

+Dk Soulstice he deserved it :)
I love how Oliver even calls Curtis "Terrific"
I'm not even emotionally invested and this made me teary, Felicity is played by such an astounding actor

It's "actress".
That sounds like the type of invention we need in real life

That was one of the nicest & sweetest things Curtis has ever done for one of his friends
This scene made me cry🥺 felicity and Oliver’s reaction were so sweet

Dude just became Felicitys second favorite guy
I miss this Curtis I don't like how the writers made him
You know who would make a great Mr. Terrific? Mr. Sterling K. Brown
Isn't it funny how a little bit later in the season when she was in the wheelchair talking to Oliver about splitting up the first thing she did when she got up was walking out on him lol

+Dk Soulstice I think it would be much cooler if he help her to build some kind of amor or exoskeleton instead.
I agree. She and Olly have been so close since the accident and I love it
Two years later and she walking and the story is better then ever
An episode later they break up
