Just got my unit yesterday. Used Cerberus before in 2018 in Liverpool when my rig died just before a gig. Awesome piece of equipment, I'll pair it with a 535Q and maybe ms70-cdr.
Great review. It's a shame more people don't know about this device. It's worth mentioning that when used with either a standalone MIDI relay device connected to the MIDI Out jack, using Preset mode can change amp channels--create your effects patch, use the relay to select the desired amp channel, and press Save; it's that simple! Worked great with my Marshall DSL20HR in 4-cable method. If I remember correctly, the Boost function can be routed pre- or post-OD/DIST, enabling you to use the Boost switch to kick up the overall level for playing guitar solos that stand out over the rhythm parts. I sold my Cerberus when I switched from a tube amp to a modeling amp, but now that I'm using an EVH 5150 III with MIDI, I've been thinking of buying another Cerberus due to its simplicity in programming. (I'm currently using a Boss MS-3 for ALL my effects, but it's a little more complicated to use and set up.)
Thanks for the the comment Tim! And thank you for the information on the MIDI side of it! I actually haven’t tried the MIDI functionality of the pedal myself, but it sounds like it gives you a lot more control! Yea the Cerberus really delivers some awesome sounds and features in a great package!❤️🙌🏼
Great sound you have. I'm using my Cerberus in combination with the TC Electronics Plethora X5. Nice video! Thanks! it seems strange to me that the headphone out wouldn't have the cab sim applied to it? Also, what dual switcher do you use with it?
The owner of a small local music store has sold several of these multi effects unit to working musicians for their stage rig and has gotten positive feedback from the owners.
Yea NUX makes some excellent pedals! You should definitely check out their MG-30 as well! It’s so much better than many other pedals that cost more than 5 times it’s price!🙌🏼
very interested in this pedal...i currently run TC Nova Systems, and this seems like a perfected version of that approach to a multi-efx pedal (with the inclusion Cab Sims, being able to do 4CM, etc)...the price is ridiculous for all that it does, and should be a powerful foundation for anyone's amp-less pedalboard...
Late to the party, but... thanks for the great review. What are your thoughts on this... I'm using a Joyo American Sound, and Brit sound into my PA and really like how it sounds given its practicality. Before the Joyos I run a drive and a dirt pedal and after the Joyos a reverb, then into the PA. Works well. I'd like to add a bit more mod pedals, like delay and such. I was thinking, for the price and convenience I could get the Nux, patch in my Joyos and dump my individual pedals as the sounds from the Nut sound good enough. I'm not a tone snob and am more interested in a practical, convenient gigging rig without lugging a full amp. I do vocals, harmonica, guitar (both acoustic an electric) so paring down the pedal/amp setup is important. Thanks again.
Great question. That’s actually a great idea.. but IMO, instead of the Cerberus get the NUX MG30.. it’s a newer pedal from the company and it has everything the Cerberus has and more! Trust me that would be you’re best bet! I did a video on the MG30 which you can check out!🙌🏼👍🏼 hope it helps
I've been using a Cerberus with an American Sound (modded to remove the speaker emulation so I can use the IR in the Cerberus instead) in the loop to the PA for gigs for a while now - I put that rig together as a lightweight backup for my Helix, enjoyed the sound and feel so much that it's now pretty much my main rig with just an added compressor and wah.
@@FuzzWoof Thanks Fuzzdog. What was up with the AMS speaker emulation that you removed it? Are you getting a "better" sound out of the Cerberus IR, or just different? My ears seemed to have gotten use the AMS through a PA so can't really tell what its missing.
Hi Great video, thanks I have a NUX Cerberus. Sees that there is an outlet for the Expession pedal. How to connect a volume pedal to this socket. Stereo cable? I have searched to find this, but it does not say anything about this anywhere.
Hi Geir! That’s a great question.. but it really depends on the type of volume pedal that you have.. if your volume pedal is a standard guitar pedal with an input jack and an output jack, you can essentially put it anywhere in the chain you prefer.. either before the pedal, or in the FX loop (post drive) or at the output of Cerberus (post wet effects) However if it is just a volume controller and has only one jack, then you would have to use it in the EXP jack of the Cerberus. You will also have to connect your Cerberus to a computer and open up the editing software to select what the volume pedal will be controlling! Hope that helps!🙌🏼❤️
@@SheahanDevadoss but what anout an expression pedal? The expressiin has just one kable beside rhe input. How do do this? The expression oedal has two. Is there an stereo cable om use here?
@@SheahanDevadoss some people add another stomp/pedals to their rigs. add seperate cab or delay , midi swicth , wah etc. they need routing the chains right. with 4cable method i think it posible. or maybe mixed with vst on the DAW. 🙏
@@garfield2742 Hey Garfield as a matter of fact that is exactly how use the pedal as you can see at 11:50 on the video... I didnt go too much into detail about it because there are a few videos that have just covered that topic.. here is a link to one of them... ua-cam.com/video/6MMUg5WhYyQ/v-deo.html&ab_channel=BrettKingman
Hey loved the video dude. I really love the IR and Cab Simulator this has. But confused between this and Mooer Black Truck. Mooer has compression and a good tuner, its distortion is more on the metal side. But it doesn't have any USB or preset saving mode. What would you suggest? I even looked for NUX MG 30 liked that too.
Hey Chirag, that’s a great question. To be very honest I haven’t tried out the Mooer Black Truck.. I tried reaching out to Mooer, to make it happen and am still waiting to hear back… but the Cerberus when it comes to sound quality is 💯.. I recently got my hands on the MG30 and I can safely say it’s by far the best guitar pedal I’ve played through!!! The sounds are just as good if not better than on the Cerberus with all the additional fx and functionality.. I’ve played through the Helix, the Kemper, Zoom G5n, and a whole bunch of other pedals.. the MG30 blows them all out of the water when it comes to sound quality and ease of use… the only thing it lacks is more footswitches! However you can get a midi foot controller like from Melo Audio and hook it up to solve that issue! I would suggest the Mg30 if you have a choice! It won’t disappoint!❤️🙌🏼
@@SheahanDevadoss Thanks bro. Is there a new Cerberus coming out ie the NME3? Or is it the same pedal. On eBay there seem to be two different names. God bless!
It doesn’t have a built in noise gate, but if you have a good clean power source you won’t have any issues! If incase you do not have a good clean power source then getting a noise gate/suppressor might be a good idea!🙌🏼❤️
Thank you so much for this great video! I just subscribed and liked it! I have two questions: 1) does it have a Wah-Wah function? 2) can you use the boost function when you are in preset mode? Or is it only usable when you’re in stomp box mode? Thank you very much!
Hey Gregster thank you so much! 1) it does not have a wah wah function. You would have to get another external wah pedal for that. 2) yes you can use the boost in preset mode. You would have to connect an external footswitch to toggle it on or off.. Just as a side note, there was talks of a firmware update that would enable you to do that even without an external foot controller. Not too sure if that rolled out yet. But that mean if you were in patch A and clicked the A button again it would function as the control switch instead of going into edit mode! Hope that helps! Cheers!🙌🏼
Hey Juan! That’s a great question! I actually haven’t personally tried out the MG30 yet, but will be getting one around December/January… I would say it really depends on the type of player you are and what you want from the pedal. The Cerberus has amazing analog OD & Distortions along with a built in Cab sim (which you can load your own IRs aswell).. the delays, reverbs, and modulation fx are great too. However the pedal does not have a compressor/octaver/flanger/wahwah etc… if you are looking to do everything in just one tiny pedal, then the Cerberus is lacking in that… however the Cerberus is designed to integrate with other analog pedals and amps beautifully. And you get really beautiful sounds from it!!! All the cover songs on my channel are using the Cerberus, so check them out and hear it for yourself. The MG30 on the other hand has all the fx built in but is digital in nature. That being said I’ve heard some sounds coming from it and it sounds absolutely beautiful. And it has all the fx that the Cerberus is lacking, PLUS more. It has a looper, an expression pedal, a full color display, and just more sonic capabilities. So the Cerberus is analog and does quite a bunch of sounds extremely well! The MG30 is digital and has waaay more fx/control options but it may not be as good as the Cerberus in some..
Well in terms of sound I would definitely go with the Cerberus, however the the ME80 does have a built in expression pedal. If you have a wah pedal or an external foot controller, it’s a no brainer to go with the Cerberus. But if a foot controller is important and you don’t have one, you would have to either buy one as well to go with the Cerberus or think about the ME80
@@SheahanDevadoss i have bought the ME80, second hand. I also have the Cerberus. After playing with the ME80 for past couple of day, i would say that ME80 is a more versatile option for a beginner, due to the controls and knobs. In term of sound, it is probably the 2nd thing i look at. The 2 mfx sounds pretty different. But thanks for the video & the reply.
There's a lot of people who say the Cerberus doesn't have a preamp. That's weird because it's designed to also be able to go direct to PA. So it must have a pre-amp. Right?
Hahahaha yea it’s a great pedal to use along with other pedals especially with its versatility! I just did a demo of one of their latest delay pedals as well! That thing is a beast too!
Great video and very very nice playing. Can it be also used as a foot midi controller to run software like Bias FX, Amplitude etc ? using the foot switch to change an effect in the software for exemple.
Hey Thomas, Im not too sure about that. However there is Midi In & Out on the pedal, so it might be possible... But to be sure you might have to really do some research about it.. sorry I cant be much help on this 🙈
My studio has a UPS which adds quite a bit of noise even if I turn away from it. This is due to electrical interference and it affects all the pedals I have😢.. but that's just in my room.. as for the Boss Me 80; I've never owned one, but I have played through my friend's Me 80.. aaand I can very safely say that the CERBERUS blows the Me 80 out of the park!!🔥🙌🏼 Just don't tell my friend I said that...🤣😂
Hey there! Just saw this comment and I was curious which way you went. I have an ME-80 and I’m considering switching to the NUX. It seems like the ME-80 has more things you can do but the quality of the Nux sounds seems better. Is that fair to say?
The Cerberus has got a firmware update which has opened the doors wide to what you can do with it! As well as its midi control functionality!! So now I'm not so sure about that.. as far as sound goes though, the Cerberus is miles ahead!!!🙌🙌
So you can use it in pedalboard mode in which each section of the pedal is like it’s own stomp box… or in patch mode in which there are 32 banks of 4 presets each which brings the total to 128🙌🏼 hope that helps!❤️🙌🏼
The drives are voiced too dark for my liking. Hate to be "that guy" but the 60s delay on the Cerberus is a Tape delay. 60s=Tape, 70s=Analog, 80s=Digital Also the output 1 and headphones out have cab sim (IR). It's always-on the headphones out. Switchable for output 1. You got it backwards, my dude. Fun fact: if you plug into BOTH output 1&2 and stick a jack in the headphones out, you get stereo IR!
Hey Matt, yea you can change the way the drives react by changing the cab sim! I just love a 4x12 Cab sound, but you could literally put any cab sim you like! 🙌😃 Thanks for the Delay feedback! Also I think you must have got a later version of the pedal which has the new firmware. Maybe I have not updated it to the latest firmware.. but on mine the cab sim was only on Out2, and then after the last update it was there on the headphones too but not Out1. Must definitely update! Thanks!❤
Very nice video and great playing! I also use the Cerberus a lot. I happen to release a video about it a week ago as well ;-) may I ask how you get so many views? My channel is about the same size as yours, but my Cerberus video has waaaaay fewer views. Thanks for the hints! Cheers!
Thankyou Bedroom Rocker, I really appreciate it! A lot of it has to do with using the right keywords and doing a bit of promotion. DM me on Instagram @jonafat99 and I can help you out!👍🏼
Ok two dumb questions.... 1)can I use this on bass guitar as well & 2) can I access(play) more than one tone together? As in if I want a dirty tone & a clean tone with tremolo coming out at the same time?
I think it was made with the guitar in mind.. but that doesn’t mean that it wouldn’t work.. as for getting two different tones altogether at the same time, I don’t think that’s possible unless you use the fx loop output or the other two make a separate chain.. hope that helps!❤️
I have my overdrive / Destortion into front of amp , then I have delay/ reverb into the effects loop . My Question is , where would I place an external Delay/ reverb pedal ?
Hi. Great demo vid and sweet playing. Questions: 1) are the internal reverbs and delays in the Cerberus stereo? 2) when running the unit in “patch mode”, do the delays and reverbs trail off between patches? 3) is the fx loop trs jack stereo? Thanks!
Hey GATvsGAT, 1) the internal reverbs are all stereo... as for the delays, 1 is stereo and the other two seem to be mono. 2) there is a firmware update which brought trails i think. When you connect it to the computer you can select if you want it or not. I myself haven’t done it yet though, but I really need to🙈 3) the fx loop is mono as far as I am aware. Up until the modulation section it is mono.. the modulation section is where the signal becomes stereo from.
Thanks for the detailed answer! One more question. In “patch mode, does the unit actually store the settings or is it only the signal routing that’s stored? I hope that question makes sense. As an example I have a Sansamp PSA 1.1 Midi preamp where all of the knob settings are remembered once a preset is saved. Is this the case with the Cerberus?
Great question... so I’m patch mode if you change stuff on the fly and change patches, when you come back to the patch it would have reverted back to its last saved format... so yes you need to hit the save button on the pedal to make it permanent!🙌🏼 hope that helps!
Hi John, yes you can! There are the 2 main outputs (Left & Right) apart from the headphones and FX loop outputs.. so there are plenty of ways of using it👍🏼
Hey Spencer the Cerberus does not have a built in noise gate! However it does have a post-drive boost built in! It’s perfect for jumping out of your bands mix when playing live!🙌🏼 hope that helps!!
Hey there, can you tell us a bit more about the routing? Does you Cerberus go into the audio interface? And then? Where are we hearing the audio interface? Monitors speakers connected to audio interface? Thank you and well done, great video!
Hey Salvatore 😃so my signal chain is this... Guitar ----> NUX Cerberus ----> Focusrite 2i2 (1st Gen) ----> DAW (Reaper) You are hearing the direct recording of this chain... Hope that answered your question!🙌🏼 And yes I have a set of Yamaha HS 8's, but we are hearing the direct recording of the signal chain into my DAW, so the HS 8's have nothing to do with the sound you're hearing! Hope all of that made sense!😜 Cheers!
Check out some of the cover videos on my channel! It’s all using the Cerberus! And I play mostly rock and metal! Check out my cover of Levitating or Butter
Hey Sheahan, I’m thinking of buying this pedal but I’m a bit unsure as to whether you can switch between chorus and phaser without having to bend over and tweak knobs throughout a gig? I’ve looked on the manual and it’s unclear to me without the Nux in from of me. Same goes for the delay and reverb. Cheers from Aus!
Hey Con Artist, sounds funny when I say that out loud 😂🤣 anyways thanks for the SUB!🙌🏼 As for switching between the chorus and phaser that is possible in 2 different ways.. when you're in pedalboard mode you can assign the CTRL switch to seperately toggle the Mod FX from the chorus or the reverb from the delay... Or you can do what I did, which was buying a dual footswitch and connect it using the TRS cable as I showed in the video.. this way you can control 2 things and still run it in patch mode if you want!🙌🏼🙌🏼 Hope that made sense. Thanks again for the SUB!🙏🏼♥️
@@SheahanDevadoss Yes, certainly did! Cool, Thanks Sheahan. My name is really Con and I’m an artists so it seems to work. Just can’t work out why people don’t seem to trust me? Oh well! Have a great day! Con
Just checking. Does that Mosky Dual Switch work with the Cerberus? I'm waiting for my Cerberus to arrive and I'm planning on a dual footswitch. The NUX one is a little too big for my cramped board, so I'm eye'ing the Mosky.
Yes, and as a matter of fact that is exactly what I use! that way I can use the Cerberus on Patch mode and use the Dual Switch to control the tap tempo for delays and as a boost.🙌
@@SheahanDevadoss You're welcome. I got my Cerberus running with the Mosky dual switch. It's great. I've also got a Flamma preamp pedal in the loop and it after some dialling in it sounds really good either DI'd or into a little powered 1x10 cab I made with a class-D power amp and a Tonetubby 10" alnico speaker.
Yes it can!!! That’s what the kill dry switch is for... you can essentially take all the dry guitar from the fx loop out then and the wet signal from one of the outputs. Hope that helps. There must be other ways of doing it as well, but this is the easiest way to get it done👍🏼
Very nice video! Can you store a patch for example with Delay and reverb and with one click change it to another one with overdrive and distortion? I guess in preset mode?
Yea that was one thing I was surprised about too😅 but maybe they might add that in a future firmware update.. I hope😜 Thanks for the comment Peter and please do consider subscribing to the channel.. would mean a lot to me!🙌🏼♥️
@@SheahanDevadoss Great vid. Without hearing the tones with headphones, I really can't use this pedal at home while the family is sleeping, unless perhaps I connect it to a Mooer Radar IR loader pedal - which has headphone output. What do you think of this idea?
Their claim is "The headphone output is cabin simulated and ready-to-play." as per their web site: www.nuxefx.com/cerberus.html Can you confirm if the HEADPHONE output is or isn't can simulated please?
Yea, but also you can just connect your headphones to output number 2 if you only want to hear it on your headphones..🤷🏻♂️ but the Mooer radar works too!!🙌🏼
@@SheahanDevadoss Its too bad that this pedal doesn't have a flanger or rotary speaker like a leslie where it can ramp up and slow down like a leslie.... I bought one due to your review, I should get it next week....
@@MarshallAmpMan hey, that’s awesome to hear man! It’s a great pedal and literally ends up on every video o put out now! Yea it would have been cool to have a few more stuff on it even a compressor, and an EQ… but I think the idea of it is just the main “bread and butter” of guitar in a nice compact package! And it definitely delivers on that!🙌🏼❤️
Unfortunately there’s no compressor... but a work around to that would be setting the OD gain to like 1 or 2 if you just want it to control the dynamics in a clean way... but you still won’t be able to change attack and release times like an actual compressor to change the way it feels... Or you can just add a tiny compressor to your board.. because the Cerberus sounds and works best with a bunch of pedal, while it can be the powerhouse for most of the tones and sounds!🙌🏼
you gotta play alot faster in order for me to hear if i like this or not

Thanks again. Some people have commented that going straight into a PA, the clean tones sounds terrible. Would you agree?
Hey Richard, if you're using it going straight into a PA you will have to use Output 2.
But yea without the CAB sim engaged if you run it straight through a PA, it's basically just like every analog OD and Dist..😜
You need to load a cab sim.(impulse response) Got to the Celestion website they have awesome cab sims! You can sound like a whole stack.
Hi
Great video, thanks
I have a NUX Cerberus.
Sees that there is an outlet for the Expession pedal.
How to connect a volume pedal to this socket.
Stereo cable?
I have searched to find this, but it does not say anything about this anywhere.
Hi Geir! That’s a great question.. but it really depends on the type of volume pedal that you have.. if your volume pedal is a standard guitar pedal with an input jack and an output jack, you can essentially put it anywhere in the chain you prefer.. either before the pedal, or in the FX loop (post drive) or at the output of Cerberus (post wet effects)
However if it is just a volume controller and has only one jack, then you would have to use it in the EXP jack of the Cerberus.
Can you combine distortion and chorus/delay and get a cool sound?
Yes you can! 🙌🏼❤️
Hi Sheahan, do you know how many memories NUX has?
The Cerberus has 9 banks of 4 patches each.
it woukd be awesone if there is vid about how could it be routed and posibilities
Hey man what do you mean? Could you give me an example? Then I can maybe flog over it🙌🏼
@@SheahanDevadoss some people add another stomp/pedals to their rigs. add seperate cab or delay , midi swicth , wah etc. they need routing the chains right. with 4cable method i think it posible. or maybe mixed with vst on the DAW.
@@SheahanDevadoss ok thx
Thank you so much for your response man! Really appreciate it! A good chance that I might take the MG30 now!😬
@@chiragbhawnani67 that’s a great choice man! Let me know how you like it, once you get yours!❤️😁🙌🏼

hello,i have buy recently the cerberus, how plugged cerberus and trio band creator ?,thanks!
Hey Rock N Vinyle, I’m not sure if I fully understood your question.. but are you asking how to connect it to the digitech pedal?
@@SheahanDevadoss hello,it works, I connected everything from the trio ;-)
Can you control de volume with a external pedal? Thanks a lot!!
Hey Pedro! Yes you can!🙌🏼
Hello Sheehan. Thank you for this video. I was wondering, have you done a similar review of the Boss MS-3....? Thanks
Hey Bob, thank you! I haven’t done one yet, but will try reach out to the company and see if we could work something out!🙌🏼
I wonder how this pedal compares to the Red Truck?
Yea I’ve been trying to get my hands on the red truck for a while to do a comparison but still haven’t managed to😕
@@SheahanDevadoss Thanks matey. It would be a great comparison. You’re a great player. Well done!
@@SheahanDevadoss Thanks bro. Is there a new Cerberus coming out ie the NME3? Or is it the same pedal. On eBay there seem to be two different names. God bless!
Will it sounds humming when input into the vox10w amp although this paddle doesn't have noise gate. Or we should add noise gate paddle sperately
It doesn’t have a built in noise gate, but if you have a good clean power source you won’t have any issues! If incase you do not have a good clean power source then getting a noise gate/suppressor might be a good idea!🙌🏼❤️
Thanks man 👍
🙌🏼No problem!
Thank you so much for this great video! I just subscribed and liked it!
I have two questions:
1) does it have a Wah-Wah function?
Cheers!🙌🏼
Bro thanks for the review. I am torn between this and the MG30. What do you think?
Hey Juan! That’s a great question! I actually haven’t personally tried out the MG30 yet, but will be getting one around December/January…
I would say it really depends on the type of player you are and what you want from the pedal.
The MG30 is digital and has waaay more fx/control options but it may not be as good as the Cerberus in some..
hey can you share the ir which you are using
Hey I’m using one of the IR’s that come in the pedal. It’s the 4x12 vintage greenback if I’m not mistaken. Or something like that.
How does this compare with the ME80? Which one is better?
Right?
Hey Richard it does have a cab simulator + IR loader... You can see this from 4:20 on the video.
“Plays well with other pedals” pushed me over the edge to obtain.
But to be sure you might have to really do some research about it.. sorry I cant be much help on this 🙈
No. The MIDI is hopeless on the NUX. "Full featured" my arse
Better than the Boss Me 80 ?
On the fence about these two units.
The cerebus seems a little noisy.
How does this compare to the TECH 21 Richie Kotzen V2?
I haven’t ever tried out the Tech 21.. so it’s hard to say! I would love to know more about that though!
Awesome bro.
Thankyou bro!♥️
Nice video, in this video you play without amp? Guitar-->nux cerberus (cab sim on)-->audio interface? And without post processing sound?
Thankyou! Yes there is no amp.. this is the direct sound of the Cerberus without any post processing as well!!🙌🏼😃
how many presets can you save in it? does it come with amp simulator too or just cabs?
So you can use it in pedalboard mode in which each section of the pedal is like it’s own stomp box… or in patch mode in which there are 32 banks of 4 presets each which brings the total to 128🙌🏼 hope that helps!❤️🙌🏼
The drives are voiced too dark for my liking.
Hate to be "that guy" but the 60s delay on the Cerberus is a Tape delay. 60s=Tape, 70s=Analog, 80s=Digital
Also the output 1 and headphones out have cab sim (IR).
Thanks for the Delay feedback!
@@SheahanDevadoss ok thanks for the input 👍🏼
Anytime!!❤️
I have my overdrive / Destortion into front of amp , then I have delay/ reverb into the effects loop . My Question is , where would I place an external Delay/ reverb pedal ?
You would place that after the fx loop then. Let me know if you need more info!❤️
Hi. Great demo vid and sweet playing. Questions:
1) are the internal reverbs and delays in the Cerberus stereo?
2) when running the unit in “patch mode”, do the delays and reverbs trail off between patches?
3) is the fx loop trs jack stereo?
Thanks!
Hey GATvsGAT,
1) the internal reverbs are all stereo... as for the delays, 1 is stereo and the other two seem to be mono.
2) there is a firmware update which brought trails i think. When you connect it to the computer you can select if you want it or not. I myself haven’t done it yet though, but I really need to🙈
3) the fx loop is mono as far as I am aware.
Nice review. Can you get stereo out from this?
Hi John, yes you can! There are the 2 main outputs (Left & Right) apart from the headphones and FX loop outputs.. so there are plenty of ways of using it👍🏼
Thanks !

Does the Cerberus have a noise gate and/or post-drive boost built in?
Hey Spencer the Cerberus does not have a built in noise gate! However it does have a post-drive boost built in! It’s perfect for jumping out of your bands mix when playing live!🙌🏼 hope that helps!!
Hey there, can you tell us a bit more about the routing? Does you Cerberus go into the audio interface? And then? Where are we hearing the audio interface? Monitors speakers connected to audio interface? Thank you and well done, great video!
Hey Salvatore 😃so my signal chain is this...
Guitar ----> NUX Cerberus ----> Focusrite 2i2 (1st Gen) ----> DAW (Reaper)
You are hearing the direct recording of this chain... Hope that answered your question!🙌🏼
And yes I have a set of Yamaha HS 8's, but we are hearing the direct recording of the signal chain into my DAW, so the HS 8's have nothing to do with the sound you're hearing!
Hope all of that made sense!😜 Cheers!
@@SheahanDevadoss thank you sheahan! But how were you monitoring yourself while recording? Through the Yamaha's?

Hey Sheahan, I’m thinking of buying this pedal but I’m a bit unsure as to whether you can switch between chorus and phaser without having to bend over and tweak knobs throughout a gig? I’ve looked on the manual and it’s unclear to me without the Nux in from of me. Same goes for the delay and reverb.
Cheers from Aus!
Hey Con Artist, sounds funny when I say that out loud 😂🤣 anyways thanks for the SUB!🙌🏼
As for switching between the chorus and phaser that is possible in 2 different ways.. when you're in pedalboard mode you can assign the CTRL switch to seperately toggle the Mod FX from the chorus or the reverb from the delay...
Or you can do what I did, which was buying a dual footswitch and connect it using the TRS cable as I showed in the video.. this way you can control 2 things and still run it in patch mode if you want!🙌🏼🙌🏼
Hope that made sense. Thanks again for the SUB!🙏🏼♥️

can it do wet dry? i've been looking for the answer on this for a while now (for a budget wet dry setup)
Yes exactly.. that can be done when you are in preset/patch mode! 😃🙌🏼
Does this pedal have latency??
No it doesn't have latency at all. It's just like any other analog pedals, fully real time🙌🏼🔥
This was very interesting to me until you said the headphone output does not have the cabinet emulator. 🙄
Yea that was one thing I was surprised about too😅 but maybe they might add that in a future firmware update.. I hope😜

@@MarshallAmpMan hey, that’s awesome to hear man! It’s a great pedal and literally ends up on every video o put out now! Yea it would have been cool to have a few more stuff on it even a compressor, and an EQ… but I think the idea of it is just the main “bread and butter” of guitar in a nice compact package! And it definitely delivers on that!🙌🏼❤️
Question: .....NO COMPRESSOR, or....?....:-)
Unfortunately there’s no compressor... but a work around to that would be setting the OD gain to like 1 or 2 if you just want it to control the dynamics in a clean way... but you still won’t be able to change attack and release times like an actual compressor to change the way it feels...
Or you can just add a tiny compressor to your board.. because the Cerberus sounds and works best with a bunch of pedal, while it can be the powerhouse for most of the tones and sounds!🙌🏼
