@@Rizla- actually if you looked into previous videos with his work with Mark Rober AND the police, people have been getting arrested, in the US and in India. It's slow, but it's progress. As for your first question "how is he stopping them" I mean, he gets into their computers, takes victim and potential victim information, and then deletes it from their system. They can't scam you if they don't remember your name and number. that stops them from continuing any scam that got started. In one video, he even managed to help the police intercept a money package that was being delivered to the scammers and eventually the victim got it back So please ask more stupid questions

Just like they gain access to his, he’s doing the same and deleting all their files. Files they need to scam people. He does a lot more than just irritate them. How about watching the one where him plus others who do what he does, which is gain access to their systems and their info, got together and closed down one of these call centres.

My office is in Salt Lake, Sec V, Kolkata..we've got several companies in the same building, last week we've received a message from the facility manager asking us to report any illegal activities related to online scam and this one was from local cyber crime cell. Hey Pierogi! This week I made my first successful prank call on a scammer. I gave him fake info for a while to waste his time then pissed him off when I said his boss keeps the money he steals. Been feeling pretty down lately but that was a nice dopamine hit and so was this video. Keep it up man!

Because of the usual 'web typo' it was common to see 'Delete there files!' or 'Delete They're Files!' So, he had hats made firstly with Delete There Files, and loads of people told him it was incorrect, but that's the joke. Then he went to 'Delete They're Files' and had the same response. The hat is a running joke for him.
I remember getting a call from a scammer a while back. But I knew he messed up when he said my wrong email was used in my Amazon account. So I decided to just communicate with them in Spanish! Best day of my life! The utter frustration and anger these people were getting just a simple question! “Do you have anybody that speaks Spanish?”
Miguel: once I know that it is a scammer, I talk to them in Afrikaans and I use the filthiest words and phrases I can think of - and there are many in that language - they think it's a compliment when I am actually telling them horrible things about their mother 😄

Omg this made my day. I was taking for everything. Lost my home. Had to resort to selling my vehicle. They took my widowed husband's insurance money I got for his passing of 346 thousand and 6 months later I still ain't seen a dime of that. Pretended to be from the funeral home of a unpaid bill for 3,000$ I was sucked into and just so devistated at the time to catch on. I hope you keep this up for those like me and millions of others around the 🌎 ❤️

Norton is a nightmare when they’re not a scammer, I had so much trouble trying to get rid of a FREE TRIAL that came with my laptop! I’ve answered the phone to a scammer, asked who’s calling and they said Norton, I told them I already called the real Norton to get rid of it because I hated it and they just said “oh right, sorry” then hung up.

I get calls and they always start with “can you hear me?” I usually skip saying “yes” because supposedly they use your voice recording saying “yes” to justify charges? So just say “I can hear you” or “I can” and they just hang up lol. Or say it over and over trying to get me to say “yes”.
If tv channels around the world would just broadcast some of your videos from time to time, many of these scams would be easily avoided. And apart from helping people, your videos are highly entertaining as well so I'm sure they would find an audience. I'm curious if this would be possible.
Sure to some degree scammers always adapt, if you expose one scam they make another. But I agree if TV shows, movies etc exposed the system more far less people be dumb enough to be scammed like this. Imagine if something like the next James Bond movie featured him breaking into a scam call center for some reason, exposing how they work. The impact that would have on the business would be pretty epic.
@@user-dq3ou4cr5l Not every one comes across it via random searches or suggestions. Quite often people don't look up scams till they are hit by one. Plus there is a difference between a video on UA-cam and the local news or such airing stories on it. Say what you want about Modern Media, it is more of an "authority" to most people than a dude on the internet. On top of which sneaking information into pop culture always works better than anything else. If it's in a popular TV series or movie more will know about it than anything else.

I helped a neighbor recently who, could have got scammed so; I listened and then played with the idiotic woman on the phone. What, I enjoyed the most was getting her annoyed lol. About 2 weeks ago, I saw an article online, some USA company have created software that allows a user to change their voice to hide the Indian accent . Can someone do further research on this, I do not have all the details.

This is absolutely legendary, the amount of sheer respect I have for you, your team and anyone getting payback on scammers is historic. I want to make strides to do borderline heroic stuff like this in the future, you inspire me and a lot of other people and of course you know that, it's awe-inspiring. I am from India. These scammers even tried to hack into my account and steal money. Luckily, I got a whiff of what was happening and saved myself. However, it made me so nervous. I believe all these scammers should get Life Imprisonment for what they are doing.

The scammers are getting more and more active and aggresive. They are also calling from a roomful of other scammers which you have to be completely naive not to recognize as such. Thanks to you guys, however, I've been calling them on their little scripts before I hang up on them which they really hate!
I sent an email today to your tipline from a call I just got. I can absolutely verify that the quality of the people on the phone was MUCH worse than normal. They BARELY spoke English and very obviously couldn't understand things I was saying, so all they could do was back up and regurgitate the last thing they said from the script. It was hard for me to stay "in character" and not laugh at them.

My office is in Salt Lake, Sec V, Kolkata..we've got several companies in the same building, last week we've received a message from the facility manager asking us to report any illegal activities related to online scam and this one was from local cyber crime cell. Hey Pierogi! This week I made my first successful prank call on a scammer. I gave him fake info for a while to waste his time then pissed him off when I said his boss keeps the money he steals. Been feeling pretty down lately but that was a nice dopamine hit and so was this video. Keep it up man!

Because of the usual 'web typo' it was common to see 'Delete there files!' or 'Delete They're Files!' So, he had hats made firstly with Delete There Files, and loads of people told him it was incorrect, but that's the joke. Then he went to 'Delete They're Files' and had the same response. The hat is a running joke for him.

I remember getting a call from a scammer a while back. But I knew he messed up when he said my wrong email was used in my Amazon account. So I decided to just communicate with them in Spanish! Best day of my life! The utter frustration and anger these people were getting just a simple question! “Do you have anybody that speaks Spanish?”

Miguel: once I know that it is a scammer, I talk to them in Afrikaans and I use the filthiest words and phrases I can think of - and there are many in that language - they think it's a compliment when I am actually telling them horrible things about their mother 😄

Omg this made my day. I was taking for everything. Lost my home. Had to resort to selling my vehicle. They took my widowed husband's insurance money I got for his passing of 346 thousand and 6 months later I still ain't seen a dime of that. Pretended to be from the funeral home of a unpaid bill for 3,000$ I was sucked into and just so devistated at the time to catch on.

Norton is a nightmare when they’re not a scammer, I had so much trouble trying to get rid of a FREE TRIAL that came with my laptop! I’ve answered the phone to a scammer, asked who’s calling and they said Norton, I told them I already called the real Norton to get rid of it because I hated it and they just said “oh right, sorry” then hung up.
You, sir, are a modern day hero! Stick it to 'em!!! It's insane to me how angry they get at being scammed yet have zero capacity to have empathy of what they're doing to their victims. These videos are extremely gratifying. I love watching the good guy win.

I get calls and they always start with “can you hear me?” I usually skip saying “yes” because supposedly they use your voice recording saying “yes” to justify charges? So just say “I can hear you” or “I can” and they just hang up lol. Or say it over and over trying to get me to say “yes”.

If tv channels around the world would just broadcast some of your videos from time to time, many of these scams would be easily avoided. And apart from helping people, your videos are highly entertaining as well so I'm sure they would find an audience. I'm curious if this would be possible.
Sure to some degree scammers always adapt, if you expose one scam they make another. But I agree if TV shows, movies etc exposed the system more far less people be dumb enough to be scammed like this. Imagine if something like the next James Bond movie featured him breaking into a scam call center for some reason, exposing how they work. The impact that would have on the business would be pretty epic.
@@user-dq3ou4cr5l Not every one comes across it via random searches or suggestions. Quite often people don't look up scams till they are hit by one. Plus there is a difference between a video on UA-cam and the local news or such airing stories on it. Say what you want about Modern Media, it is more of an "authority" to most people than a dude on the internet.
On top of which sneaking information into pop culture always works better than anything else. If it's in a popular TV series or movie more will know about it than anything else.

I'm going to talk to the staff of my grandmothers retirement home to see if they can set up some kind of call blocker across every line and am installing nomorrobo at my family business land line. About 2 weeks ago, I saw an article online, some USA company have created software that allows a user to change their voice to hide the Indian accent . Can someone do further research on this, I do not have all the details.

The scariest part of being a victim is that many times you feel helpless and that not many people can help you get your life back on track once the money is gone. This is absolutely legendary, the amount of sheer respect I have for you, your team and anyone getting payback on scammers is historic. I want to make strides to do borderline heroic stuff like this in the future, you inspire me and a lot of other people and of course you know that, it's awe-inspiring. I really wanna see where this entire thing goes and maybe one day get in on the payback because bad people doing bad things should get a little bit of a scare themselves and hopefully stop robbing people.
I am from India. These scammers even tried to hack into my account and steal money. Luckily, I got a whiff of what was happening and saved myself. However, it made me so nervous. I believe all these scammers should get Life Imprisonment for what they are doing.

I sent an email today to your tipline from a call I just got. I can absolutely verify that the quality of the people on the phone was MUCH worse than normal. They BARELY spoke English and very obviously couldn't understand things I was saying, so all they could do was back up and regurgitate the last thing they said from the script. It was hard for me to stay "in character" and not laugh at them.
