Thank you so much for what you do. An old friend of mine got scammed last week in Australia by the anydesk scam. Fortunately I was able to get him to go to the bank and stop all movement from his account. When I showed him your videos, he was surprised at how similar the calls were. We know that the scammers have a lot of his details now (including his drivers licence) but at least his bank account wasn't compromised. You guys do great work. Thank you again. By the way, because of your video I have purchased NordVPN.
Thank you so much for what you do. I almost was a victim of a scammer and I was at the parking lot of Lowe’s ready to go in to get $2,000 worth of gift cards talking to the guy on the phone when I thought that this was a ridiculous situation I’m involved in. He was instructing me to what to not say which triggered a red flag in my head. Before going in I decided to call my debit card institution and found out it was all a scam. I felt so foolish and by processing all the phone conversations I realized that that I had caught a couple of red flags but ignored them. Very good learning experience and now I’m hooked watching your videos.

@@Peterchad1 So sorry to hear that. I didn’t go into all that was involved but it was a multiple layers of being switched to different people and set up. My first red flag that I ignored was when I said let me call my bank and the guy on the phone said “ no, don’t do that we will contact your bank and explain to them the situation and your bank will call you “. This all started with a text message from an unknown person and number stating that a camera was charged at the sum of $900 and if I didn’t purchase it to call the toll free number. 6:39 Classic tactic scammers use. They do this to try and relate to you and manipulate you into trusting them even more. Absolute pathetic scumbags these scammers are.
In reality how can you be sure you absolutely know something is true even if you observe it yourself hallucinations are a thing and even if your absolutely sure it wasn't a hallucination how can you be sure if YOU are real for all we know you could just be a brain outside the body in a perfectly suitable enviroment and your brain could be just replaying your memories due to being bored or even be just making up the reality that you or me are looking at right now it has been scientifically proven that after death your brain very swiftly replays all your memories and what if were just in that replay cycle
Yeah, definitely could be manipulation, but can't be sure, but if that's the case, then that's what you can call "dark empathy". Like the name implies, it's the bad ugly side of empathy, those people can be especially really dangerous. So whenever you relate with a stranger or even someone you met like 3 months ago, never trust them completly to early, go slowly and find more out about them and take your time.
Man your smarter than me. I got tricked into depositing $3000 into gift cards and none of the red flags you recognized got into my head at the time like when they told me what not to tell the bank representatives.
I should have known that was a bait.
