Funny, we old timers used to say "Keep it between the lines" I like your adaptation to "Keep it between the ditches",.. nice, thank you for the videos, I'm having a few conversations with friends out there for changing from OTR to oilfield work after the holidays, maybe I'll see you then.
@Jaratoll lol 😂 they used to do that at NGL back in 2014-2015 then they got greedy and stopped. There is one disposal in Mentone that caters hamburgers and hotdogs every Friday.
Hi, Thanks for all the tips! I was wondering if these trucking companies out there take on new CDL holders without experience and where's a good place to start?
You do a great job on these videos and on your channel and wish you much luck and all that there. Wanted to ask you if you can get into water hauling in the oil field with a old DUI that's like 10 years old and felony that's from 1999 that has to do with auto theft
You probably could get a job here man. Lots of people here with a back ground that is a little dirty (no disrespect just trying to help you) Give it a try and please do things right here so it doesnt affect the rest of us
Do you know of any companies that you can lease on> I don't have my own authority. I do have my own truck. 2009 International. I'm currently over the road and I hate it..Any advice to get in wold be appreciated.
This might sound dumb. But I’m looking at getting into crude oil or water hauling. I’m from Arkansas and I’m wanting to bring my wife and kids with me. Is that heard of for guys to bring their families?
Hello Robert, I am truck driver, with Hazmart and tanker endowments. I just moved from Georgia, to Big Spring Texas. I'm interested in working in oilfields. Do you have any suggestions, of a good company to work for?
Can you make as good of money in west texas as you can in the bakken. Its about to be winter, ive been here for 10 winters and kind of getting tired if it. i love winter, but not for 7 months lol.
Great informative videos, i just subscribe to the channel i wanna keep watching the videos i make, going to be heading up there to the Odessa, midland area to hopefully find me a new job opportunity, hopefully maybe one of these days our paths might cross and we can talk a while,
I have 4yrs experience in water hauling and currently in Louisiana doing the same but not with that pay. Can you recommend any company's that are hiring i Can apply to out that way that pays good
I got my doubles/triples and tankers. Currently in the process of getting hazmat! I take my test Wednesday! Oil field do you need experience for the job opportunity?
How can I get a job there I’m a cdl holder class a Hazmat tanker driver. Can you please give me the information I need so I can apply asap thank for the video keep up the good work brother
I would honestly try hazmat jobs, they are hiring around 30 to 36 an hour right now. Mesquite’s trucks are not the safest and they expect you to work 24/7. I’m actually looking at working for Nextier
I would love to do that job I’m in school now getting my hazmats and I want the overtime I don’t have a family I’m from Chicago and don’t care to relocate hell I’ll live on the field lbs.. only question I have is for Situations like this do they supply free housing ? Also if I’m fresh in with cdl driving will it be hard for me to get a job like that seeing how I’ll be new to the field
Jason thanks for the comment, how do you like the sand side? Mesquite is a smaller company out of Carlsbad NM. They have right around 18 units and 8 owner operators.
@@jasonalexander1709 They will be as soon as the owner buys some more trucks he said the new trucks should be here next month! That’s one thing that I didn’t like about sand was the wait times. I heard the rates went down a lot for owner ops also.
@@WeroLocoTrucking Well when they are hiring could you let me know? I need something better ASAP. I used to have my own truck over the road like you and I got out of it last year during the summer. Came back to the oilfield because my 10 year old son lives in Jal, NM with his mother and step dad. I’m not making a whole lot here with this company hauling frac sand so I’ve been looking at other companies. I don’t mind lots of hours or working a lot because I used to be in frac as a frac hand on frac sites from 2011-2016 for various companies all over as a contractor working like 80-120 hours a week. So getting dirty and greasy and oily don’t matter to me
@Wero Loco Trucking What up tocayo, they call me guero too but Yo i just got back to cruces from orla was up there running bellies on 285 from loving to orla doing the paving For fisher industries. Man All i saw at the pilot in orla from the time i got there till I crashed out every day was vac trucks shit theres battery tanks literally right next to the pilot and guys would be parked for hours why is that? Could they be owner ops that missed a call? I heard they get put at the back of the list. Shoot i seen a mesquite truck there too but just fueling. I make 25 an hr 37.50 ot running bellies for a company out of sunland park and we average about 60 hrs a week lately but still nothing compared to 4k a week man. ill go to Carlsbad right now if i can get on with yall. Not even joking. I pay crazy child support and that would literally save my future to make that
If you were from out of town and wanted to work a full 14hrs every day for like a month straight, is that possible? Im currently working flowback doing 12 hr days here in odessa. But im thinking of getting my cdl and switching over to water hauling
@@WeroLocoTrucking hell yeah bro. Then thats what im going to do. Is it easy getting on these water companies with 0 driving experience? And if so whats the starting pay range so I know what to look for. Thanks bro
What companies are these, that hires cdl A drivers? I have been driving otr reefer div for 5 years and i have all the endorsements, but i have no tanker experience.
I want to start working in the oil field and I’m willing to move out to Texas or North Dakota or wherever the pay is good. I don’t have any experience working in the oil field yet. I have six months of experience driving for a FedEx subcontractor. How might I best go about getting hired with a company?
I’d say the easiest way to get in the oilfield would be through hauling sand! You have Sand Boxes, hopper bottom, and pneumatic bulk. Equipment Transport out of Pecos hires with no experience on water hauling side. I’ll be releasing some videos on how a water truck works so look out for them!
Should I stay otr or go to the oilfield? I have a job offer for vac truck but I'm also getting my hazmat endorsement just gotta wait for my background check
Oilfield worker here in west tx, I got my cdl with hazmat tanker and I’ve been looking for the best job for a while. I’ve done acidizing, pumpdown, frac for a long time but i’m always looking for a better option. Any help?
I don’t see why not, lots of felons out here looking for a second chance as long as your license or CDL is valid, mostly up to insurance company insuring.
Every time I see any ad.. it says they want experience in the oil field.. How exactly are you supposed to get experience in the oil field if you don't live by one...
@Brandon Will to be honest, I don’t think a lot of people will make the trek out and most will not last, it’s hard work and long hours. I just want to give people another option. I don’t think rates will get messed. Also a lot of companies can’t cover their work right now.

You would need to apply, you can find them through indeed or Craigslist, or start by calling them. Sometimes it depends on their needs!
Silly question...Does the GPS work out there navigating the county and dirt roads?
GPS works, but you'll need am actual GPS unit, not just a cell phone because phones rely on service. I always keep a Garmin 64 in my truck.

Do you still need the manual restriction removed?
