And you were right, she wasn't upset or angry at all. She was sad and worried for me because I was dealing with this stressful situation! She was understanding and comforted me immediately!! I’ve been failing at university and hid my marks from my parents for almost the whole year, now they want to see my marks and I have to show them soon. A part of me just wants to be honest and say that the course I’m studying is not for me (or just school in general is not for me) . I feel so bad because I feel the money spent on tuition fees could have been spent on more important things or even saved for something more important in the future. Honestly, I feel pretty confident after watching the video. I was supposed to take a summer course, however, my dumbass got too lazy to find out about the class and register. I missed the registration date and when I found out about everything, it was too late. I haven't told my parents about it, and I have a solution to my problem. There is a fall course for me to take, which will be the same thing but in the fall. If that doesn't work, then I could try again next summer. I will keep y'all updated after everything goes down. Also, while I'm typing this, it is almost my birthday and I might lose my birthday trip, but I gotta have consequences for my actions so yeah.
Edit: I talked to my school counselor about the whole situation, and she said that i can do the fall semester, but I have to take it up with the school counselor in the main campus (I'm in 9th grade going into 10th as of writing this), or I could take it next year, again take it up with the main campus counselor. I asked the main campus counselor about the fall semester, so I will be waiting on his answer.

So I want to share my story cause maybe it could make it easier to get it off my shoulders. So I’ve been in band for about 2 years in middle school and I absolutely hate it. And for the instruments like a xylophone it’s $1000! So i’ve always been scared to tell them because I always think I will disappoint them and they will get mad at me and never look at me the same. It’s also been like the family tradition to be in band and for me it’s hard to be different like that especially with a lot of pressure. So I’m trying to build up the courage to tell them. (don’t mind this just me venting) i failed math and didn’t tell my parents during all this summer break, tomorrow i have an exam that will determine if i pass or not and i haven’t told them yet. i absolutely hate how i’ve acted because i just know my mother will be not only angry but so heartbroken since she thinks i don’t trust her anymore. but its not like that (she is one of the people I trust in the most), i’ve just been having an irrational fear over them finding out my math grades. the only fortunate thing is that i won’t have to go through it anymore once i pass the one i failed. also, all of this mess has been making me think about “solutions” and most of them are terrifying. i’ve even thought about unaliving myself. i think i might have a mental illness (probably more than one) but i haven’t told them either and i don’t know what to do anymore. i’m fucked up.

I joined a dance group about a month ago and so I have to tell both parents. My dad is pretty chill so I told him as soon as I got in, but I still haven’t told my mom and my first practice is in a couple weeks. My mom definitely will not take this lightly. She’s going to get me to quit or she’s just going to guilt trip me for the rest of my life, and while I wish I don’t have to tell her I have to let her know where I am every other Friday night. Uhghhhhh
needing to vent a bit. situation is i failed my chemistry exam and my average (semester 1) is now about 54% or so. Now according to my parents, in particular my father, that is a long shot away from a 75% that they demand of me and the condition is that i 'stay in school and get an impossibly high average of 75% on all 5 ATAR (australian tertiary academic ranking) subjects that im doing atm, or get kicked out/disowned/removed from school/etc.' on the pretense of wasting money and their time/'love' for tutor, books, study exam books, education. Im particularly fearful of telling them, at all, in which im delaying the end by two more weeks. however seeing this video, and coming back from exam results shock, i think im going to try and sit them both down soon and hopefully not get torn to shreds. possibly making a plan to concretely structure my argument. i shouldnt fear my parents, yes, but i am absolutely petrified over even speaking to them at all in case they ask about my marks.

A lot of people have vented here so I want to do it as well. I quit uni and have been lying to my parents I've been attending it for the past 2 years. I went though severe depression and started having suicidal thoughts while going to uni but it stopped when I quit. Now however it feels like my lie is getting bigger and harder to maintain everyday and I feel very suffocated. I'm also feeling extremely guilty and more than being hit, I'm very scared of my mom being disappointed in me. My teachers reported to my parents that me and 2 others were writing some inappropriant things on our class's groupchat and they will either get an mail or a paper from the school. And i really want to tell my mom through text about what i've said and that i really really regret it but im too scared:D

im here because i used to break my parents' rules that they made to keep me safe and let me enjoy being a kid and i feel really guilty about it and im really anxious to tell them because i dont know how they would react, but then again im kinda confident in telling them because i dont act like how i used to, and i feel like they would be understanding and proud of me for telling the truth and changing. But then again im still kinda scared that they would be really angry and disappointed in me and they would leave an impression on me that im a liar and they would hate me forever. This thought has come through my mind multiple times because my best friend's mother knows how i used to be like, and i would be scared that if my best friend's mom tells my parents then i would be in big trouble, this thought always gives me major anxiety and its even worse that i always get these thoughts when im about to sleep. After watching this video i felt better and i wasnt anxious anymore. Im planning to tell my mom about it tomorrow because she's always supporting me. Perhaps i might update if it all goes well

My mom doesn't know I have a boyfriend. This is a year long lie. I've lied to her face about it multiple times. My grades were bad earlier in the relationship and she wanted me to break up with him until I fix my grades. After a lot of arguing, she said " do whatever you want", and so I did. I did my best to fix my grades, it didn't really work out though since I just couldn't do well enough on the tests and schoolwork, but I did do my best. Now it's getting to where I'm going to have to tell her soon. She's very scary. She's going to end up making me cry as usual. And there's a chance I really will have to break up with him. Here's to hoping I'll be able to give an update after I tell her. My whole life is about to be at risk😭
