Hey random question but what kind of shoes are those? They look minimal and lite
They are Merrell hiking shoes!
Merrell boots are what I hunt in early and mid season. Definitely a comfortable boot.
Great that you're practicing like that but I would start by just swinging around in the saddle and getting fluid with it. You seem to be uncomfortable swinging in it. Adding 2 or 3 sticks under you for practice would be a good move too!
What steps r u using when u go out?

Wouldn't it be easier and cheaper to stand on the ground.?
This is only practicing at ground level. I hunt anywhere from 15 to 20 ft in the tree.
