You're partially correct the temple and Masonic lodges face in a easterly direction the part where you're wrong is that we don't worship the sun our God is the God of the bible and the reason why our lodges face a easterly direction is because once the Israelites got onto the eastern shoreline of the red sea and the Egyptians army was distroyed in the red sea Moses erected a tabernacle facing east in memoriam of the easterly wind that split the red sea delivering the Israelites from the Egyptian army since then all the tabernacles that were built and the temple of Solomon and the Masonic lodges were placed in a easterly direction in concordance of the tabernacle that Moses built to praise God for delivering them from the Egyptians

I'm not A Freemason but I am a lecturer(confer degrees) in the Orange Order (2 degrees)Royal Arch Purple (1 degree) and the Royal Black Institution(11degrees) which are Protestant Fraternal Orders over here in Northern Ireland. These degrees are based on the Protestant interpretation of the Bible including King Solomon's Temple and the Ark Of The Covenant (which also contained Aaron's Rod and The Pot Of Manna by the way) but nowhere in the Bible does it mention a man called Hiram Abiff being murdered before he would reveal Masonic secrets. To me that is extra Biblical and is one of the main reasons I never joined Freemasonry.

freemasonry is essentially Judaism. At some level they take Talmudic (rabbinical) law over that of any common law or legal precedent.
