Features I like about the new J-180:
Classic Looks. Main Reason I Got One :)
Bright Speaker Audio with some Nice Mids.
Simple Controls.
Built in Handle, and Phone Stand.
Replaceable 18650 Battery.
Type C Charging Jack.
USB/Micro SD Card Support for MP3 Player.
Bluetooth.
FM, and Shortwave Reception is Good.
Solidly Built.
Affordable Fun.
Dial is Fairly Accurate, and Easy to Read with the White Lettering, and Yellow Indicator.
Features that Could be Added or Improved on:
10kHz Stepping for the MW band. Expanded to 1710kHz.
Improve Gain past 1200kHz during the Day Time hours.
Tuning LED would be Great.
D Cell Battery Bay like the J-150BTS, One of My Favorite Radios that Gets Used All the Time.
Overall, this competes with its little brother, the J-150. It comes down to a better speaker tone, and looks. If you love the MW band, and live in the States then the J-150 will be the better choice since it is setup to Tune in 10kHz steps. The J-180 Offers enough at its current price of Twenty Five USD that it can be recommended to anyone looking for that Classic Retro Look.

Hey there nice to meet you. I’m Julian. Do you wanna be my friend?
That's very similar to one of your radios 📻 in the not so distant past. It was a Prunus, also, and had a simulated woodgrain 🪵 finish. It's another "Memory Lane" radio 📻 as that one was. Very nice 👌 radio. Your friend, Jeff.
Hej Todderbert, thanks for the review. The Prunus J-180 retro radio does seem very nice, but I agree with you that the Prunus J-180's inability to run on D-cell batteries is a bit of a pity. However, I own the Prunus J-150 BTS FM/AM/SW retro radio, which has the option of running on D-cell batteries, as you also mentioned. So personally, I would recommend the Prunus J-150 retro radio. I think it's a better buy. Take care, Todderbert, and have a nice Sunday.
Thanks for the evening video to watch, Todderbert.
No Problem, thanks for showing your support :)
I understand making things smaller, but some of these radios are TINY. Esp the LW SW Wb ones. The buttons....are so small, you need a pencil to poke them. I prefer a beefier radio. A "mans' radio.
Grab a Superadio, or a Panasonic RF-2200 and call it a day :)
I really like the styling of both radios you showed, and the sound quality. The shortwave band isn't of much use really.
But I don't want any more battery-operated things in my house, it's just too much hassle recharging them all the time. The older the battery, the more hassle it becomes.
I also waste a lot of D-cell and other replaceable batteries, that burst open on my cabinet shelf before I can use them.
So does this brand/company do radios like this that operate on household electricity?
Cool love it 😊
