rail to the sleeper is the 'rail shoe'!

Great vid. Have put these together myself.
If only doing a few sections it makes it more secure if you put the long rails on the short length of sleepers and vice versa. Slide excess rail of short section into empty part of long section. This staggers the joints. Joiners still fit when used mid section. Adjust the other section of sleepers to achieve even spacing at the gap and you will find rails stick out a bit at other end. This is where the spare sleeper goes.
Just for the benefit of your viewers.
    Keep up the good work.

cheers for the heads up on the sleeper fit, i am putting this kit together at the moment and decided to investigate the problem and discovered it was the injector pin marks over the sleeper joiners that you cut off and was holding it up a few thou. when i removed the injector pin marks with a flat smoothing file (no handle) this cured the problem.

In the UK the small pieces that the track runs through are called chairs, the pieces that join the tracks are called fishplates.

Thanks for the helpful tips. Have you assembled the MiniArt track? If you have what brand did you prefer.
    Cheers bud.

Simon, those small plates on the ties - are literally called “tie plates”, and have the holes in them for spikes to align the rails. Cheers.
