Summer i live alone and your videos play almost everyday at home. You are almost family now. I love hearing you talk in the background when i go about my plant and home chores. Lots of luv from India... Btw im an Anglo-Indian.
@@summerrayneoakes I'm not stuck in the house, but when I watch your videos I am. 😂I've not been on vacation, since 1995, so I enjoy these mini-vacation outings, with you and Sander, wherever you are in action.
Wow! My favorite tour so far. I've had almost all of these outside in California, just not all at the same time! Do you know the name of the tall plant in the background with blue/purple flowers or berries at 28:02? Thank you!
Watched this while waiting for pain meds to work, completely took my mind to a very happy place…I really need to plan a day trip to Wave Hill (I’m in NJ not too far from NY). Thank you so much for this, loved the camera work and the commentary of you both! Such colors and leaf shapes, beautifully arranged…💚🌸🌿
If you can, definitely make the journey. It's such a beautiful place. The grounds are beautiful too. Maybe for another video on our sister channel @FlockFingerLakes and when the weather is better.
WOAH THIS COLLECTION IS SOO INIQUEEE MOST OF THEM I HAVEN't SEEN EVERR somee my first time ever what i like about the display it is soo well curated them together makes you feel like in A PRAIRIEEE FIELD!!! all of them DELICATE, SOFT & WHISPY FLOWERSSSS all beautiful!!!!
The quintessential greenhouse. Oh my goodness the loveliness of the buildings, plants and the two women's passion for botany. My favorite tour yet. Thank you for sharing Summer.
glad it really resonates with you. Many of these horticulturists are also artists at heart and really design a place beautifully with plants. Wave Hill is really a special place. More to come...
I'm a plant fanatic and I just idolize you Summer! Your plant knowledge is on another level and you've helped me learn more about the plant world, Thank you so much! Love from Arizona! 🌵🌴🌿🌳❤
as a kiwi, its awesome to see some plants that remind me of home. Summer you have to visit new zealand its amazing i fly back every summer to escape australian heat and work in our family orchards for fun and therapy. also our meat and veg are mostly organic. I know youd all love it. I bet if you reched out you to plant enthusiasts there they may sponsor your guys trip, The amazing race host Phil Keoghan who is also Kiwi, his dad owns a huge nursery down south Island you could reach out to them among many others.
25:14- The 'leaves are actually phyllodes, or photosynthetic stems performing the function of leaves. Many, if not all, of these phyllode-bearing legumes have true leaves during the very early seedling stage but are soon shed thereafter. It is absolutely correct to say that these plants are totally leafless despite the outward appearance saying the contrary.
Bring back calceolaria! I have fond memories of those little pouches as a kid, and I've been trying to get my hands on seeds for ages but the one reputable company I've been able to find them at is constantly out of stock.

I sold Calceolaria when I worked retail nursery 45 years ago. Another common name is slipper plant.
I grew up in Romania and I do remember seeing these plants. Wonder why they are no longer fashionable, the flowers have a very interesting shape.
It's cyclical. I'm sure they'll come back 'in style'
What a lovely vista..fog and greenhouse
So much crammed into such a small space. More is more 😊
that's my motto!
Wow. So many amazing plants I have never seen before. Thanks.
Same here. I wasn't accustomed to many of these!
A wonderful diverse collection. Thanks for sharing.
What a lovely tour! Can't wait for the alpine tour 💚
Beautiful filming and editing on this video! The quality of your videos just keep getting better!
Glad you are enjoying.

Any idea what the blue-flowered vine above the door is? It was beautiful.
I'll ask and get back to you. I can't take a good look at it since it's so far away in frame.
Thank you so much! Always curious to learn about more blue-flowered species since they are an unusual color.
@@themilesdevin Hardenbergia comptoniana - pea family
Thank you so much! It does seem to be either Hardenbergia violacea or comptoniana. What a fancy fabaceae!
