How have I missed this? One minor correction regarding rainforests in the lower 48, when you have a chance, take a flight to Seattle, rent an SUV and travel by ferry to the Olympic Peninsula and visit the Hoh in Olympic National Park. it is the only true natural rainforest in the lower 48. it is breathtaking, stunning, and created by mother nature.
