How to make eMMC DUMP and Flash the Android TV box Vontar X3 📺⚙️🪄

- In this video I demonstrate the process of creating a Embedded Multimedia Memory Card memory dump and flashing the Amlogic processor-based Android TV box.
📍 To successfully complete the process you will need: USB keyboard, microSD flash card of 8 GB+, an appropriate adapter or card reader, PC, and some enthusiasm.
📌 Step by step instructions for making Dump:
1️⃣ Download Balena Etcher utility and Khadas Krescue tool
2️⃣ Insert a microSD flash card into a PC
3️⃣ Run the Balena Etcher utility and Write the Krescue image to a microSD card
4️⃣ Disconnect power supply to the set-top box and insert the microSD card
5️⃣ Connect power supply, Start the TV box and install the Terminal from the Play Store
6️⃣ Run a 'reboot update' command in the terminal
7️⃣ In the Krescue menu select item 4 (Image DUMP from EMMC) and execute 'WRITE' option
8️⃣ After the dumping process is complete, in the Krescue menu select item 'b' (Reboot/PowerOff/Save) and execute 'PowerOff' option
9️⃣ Remove the microSD card from the TV box, insert it in the PC and save the created Dump to local storage
✅ Success! Delete partitions and format the microSD flash drive.
📌 Step by step instructions for the Flashing process:
1️⃣ Download Amlogic Burn Card Maker tool
2️⃣ Download the firmware for a specific device
3️⃣ Insert a microSD flash card into a PC
4️⃣ Run Amlogic Burn Card Maker tool and initialize the process of writing firmware to the microSD card
5️⃣ Disconnect power supply to the set-top box and insert the microSD card
6️⃣ Connect power supply, start the TV box and Run a 'reboot update' command in the Terminal
✅ Success! Remove the microSD card from the TV box and Delete partitions and format the microSD flash drive by PC

Hi! Nice question. Seems like a something changes in Khadas directory, but I find this file in other place by request 's905x3-s905d3.gz' in Google.

03:48 Какую команду? Куда? Такой версии shell terminal уже нет.
Устанавливайте иной терминал и в нем вводите команду "reboot update".
У меня в одном команды не выполнялись, по этому порекомендовал именно этот. Но суть не в конкретном терминале а в том чтобы он выполнял команды на конкретном устройстве.
А как снять emmc например с h96max RK3318?
Например погуглить и чуть-чуть разобраться. Алгоритм в целом будет идентичен, инструменты и конкретные шаги могут отличаться

Здравствуйте. Интересно, но не сталкивался. Больше контекста не помешало бы.
Если шагаете строго по инструкции, то следует попробовать версии старее, новее.
Если результат не изменится то возникает вопрос:
А устройство полностью исправно, ни каких артефактов за время использования не наблюдалось?
@@DenisKorza Здравствуйте, у приставка «VONTAR X3, amlogic s905X3». Я решил первую проблему.
Попировал снять дамп через USB FLASH, все сделал как на видео.
Когда нажимаешь кнопку 4(Image DUMP. from EMMC) программа начинает видеть usb накопитель.
Но возникла другая проблема. Почему то дамп не сохраняется после записи. Попробовал несколько usb накопители, разные программы, все без успешно
Устройство работает отлично, никаких проблем с ним нет, но хотел другое прошивку попробовать

Unfortunately I delete my backkup after successfull flashing. Do you get bricked device after wrong flashing?@@mohdrahmat3420
@@DenisKorza actually i flash openwrt on internal storage without backup. Now, i can't flash back stock android using an amlogic usb burner .. now it can't be detected. Only able to boot openwrt from sdcard.. or boot openwrt from internal
I got you. That real issue. I hear about some methods of unbricking by using shorting some motherboard pin with GND pin in similar cases, mb it would be helpful and possibe to be adopted for your case. Try to research it. Good luck ☘ @@mohdrahmat3420
