Edit: for added context, there is an omen item that is the equivalent of the solar sword/lunar ring. Getting two of them makes a double omen item with TONS of damage. Get two and it's max omen and loads of damage

i was actually hoping you wouldn't get the Ring, i looked it up when you got the Sword because you mentioned that upgraded Treasure acts as MP-PB...upgraded Treasure gives Sun and Moon! It acts as if you got a Slime Doop. You would have gotten Upgraded Sword!

There's no point in getting 4 courage before the end unless I'm nervous about dad because Treasure will force it to be 4/4 anyway. The goal was to get as many useful inscriptions to 1 or 3 as possible so Treasure can do the rest. While it would still boost Arms up to 2, Courage would go to 5, which would waste it. Trading a flat 45% (arms) for a 15% amp, considering I had over 1k damage seemed like a good deal short term without wasting any points.
Gotta say Southpaw are really creative with the new gimmicks for each new skull it’s kinda impressive actually
I got back into skul recently because I never played with the dark mirror (basically only releases skul) and wow watching you has helped me get back into the groove
I doubt he needed the DPS increase. Being able to ignore enemy and boss attacks while laying into them with basic attacks gave him decent, steady DPS with the occasional burst whenever counterattacking with a skill. Hell, his cooldowns were low enough that I often used his abilities outside of parry windows; the parry boost applies to a basic attack too. The only, "problem" he had was his high skill floor/ceiling.
I'm just glad they didn't change his parry mechanic. I'm not gonna complain about a buff, but it seems unnecessary, and I'm afraid they'll nerf him down the line.
To clarify, as you brought this up later, I agree that you should use your skills outside of parries, but try to find a middle ground. I usually try to space out skill use so their cooldowns are more staggered, making it more likely that I'll have one off cooldown when I parry.

I remember playing the slave for the second time before the dominator update and having a breeze with every boss until the first knight, parried everyone of their attacks easily, he was the first to reach so far. Can't play him as well now since my attack button got stuck. His 4 dlc items really help making him powetful but i'm unsure if revenge triggers when he parries.

For a super rigged run, how about the highest number of theoretically possible in a run inscriptions. Two clone clones, prince's box with masterpiece and treasure, and then collect more treasure throughout the run, to get upgraded treasure at the end.
I don't think masterpiece clone stamp and prince's box are in the game anymore

I keep overlooking spartacus alot as I haven't really fully messed around with him but u definitely should try a run with him
Also at 8:47 when you thought he was a speed skull but he's actually a balance skull a similar story happened with me except it was with genie as I keep forgetting that he's a power skull because unlike most power skulls his mobility isn't that sluggish as his mobility screams speed or balance rather than power
Imagine trying to fight the nun while entirely specialized into parries.
He says the run is blessed but I think the game is antagonizing him giving him the 2 trreasure legendaries right off the rip unlike not giving them at all in the treasure run

Just got my first Normal Mode clear. Took 35 attempts, and out of all the Skulls I could've won with... It was the Ent Skull. I honestly didn't think I could make Ent work.
He's unironically got the highest damage and defense ceiling in the game. I can say that slave was my favorite skul of the DLC, Ironically Viking felt the weakest to me, He also felt the most balanced. But didn't feel like he excelled anywhere.
Heracles just felt good but his grapples just didn't compare for me personally, and the other two felt underwhelming for different reasons.
King had damage issue, honestly reminds me of my issues with base yaksha, When not transformed form you are just underwhelming.
Where the General just had the original warrior issue, just something to help get his unrivaled strikes was all he needed.
But Slave was a swap into him when in danger, and as a soulborne player the parry then riposte with a skill or attack felt absolutely amazing, literally melt them and has a built in king slayer with that cruel strike. Pairs well with any other skull, (Either as a safety net for magic boys, or an equal partner/bosslayer for physical boys) preferably skulls with big AOE's for room clears, (I think Archer is a phenomenal partner for him personally.)
Also I personally recommend the skill that amps a skill every few seconds (I think soul strike) As it fits entirely into the soul'sborne mindset. everything else is just whatever you want feel free, Slave carries from there. The only difficult run I find for him is triple omen runs or poor orc procs. One shots are one shots after all.
I honestly think the damage boost was entirely unneeded and should be rolled back, He was doing phenomenally upon release, just required a different playstyle compared to other skulls (perfect parries). Though the boost he has now just makes him an even better boss slayer.
Edit: Also the one dark skill that drops bombs that damages everything every few seconds or whatever is perfect for setting up parries if you want to run slave solo. You have belt in parry windows as well as constant amp timers thanks to it. Though it does make the Dad fight far harder.
I also agree Dad is the harder fight then dark skul. I think with dark skul for most people the issue is just he is new and you never really know which version of him you are dealing with at the end. Does he stay primary power, will he speed blitz, etc. That uncertainty makes him feel harder then he is. Where with dad he feels like mainly a dps check. If you deal damage fast enough you don't have to worry about how much BS he throws at you, and as most players are at that point you don't deal with his worse versions in most case. As players get to that point with Dark skul you will probably see difficulty between the two start evening out as it's more is unpredictability your bane, or ignores safety nets?

Wanna ask this if you bring the solar sword till the end and get the treasure divine inscriptions would it make the legendary solar sword because treasure will add in one of each inscriptions?

I need to learn what the best inscriptions are because i thought fortress and especially antique would juat take away from more damage boosts. So far i just use shield skeleton legendary to carry me and make some hp shields while blocking damage
